Not gonna like the Keli-E-Mart reference name to the classic Simpsons was an attraction that made me stop here and not across the street. Gas was the same so I went here because the name was funny to me. And before you ask, no Apu was not working. There was a very nice lady at the counter who was personable and friendly. Bathrooms and store appeared to be very clean especially for a smaller town gas station so props to them on that. Overall it served the purpose we needed so no major complaints here from me.

I went in and prepaid for a few gallons since I just filled up in Cincinnati. I also got a little container of milk to mix with my cold brew coffee. It was $1.88 for a pint container, which would be $3.99 at a 7-11. The checker showed me pump 38 before ring in to make sure it was my car. I also had a chance to use the restrooms and they were clean and had a full time attendant cleaning and removing trash. Like others have said, this place is ginormous!! This place has so much to offer. So many sandwiches, drinks and clothing options. You could get lost for hours if you look at everything. We stopped here for lunch. Grabbed chopped brisket sandwich's. Grabbed brisket sandwiches without sauce. They were delicious, so tender and flavorful. The options for jerky were amazing too. They had already packaged jerky or you can buy by the pound. I bought the prepackaged and niece said I bought the wrong kind. So I had to go back before heading home. Good place for anything and everything. Wish there was a closer one to Chicago. Will be back again someday.

I have passed by this old Convenient Food Mart store many times but finally made this stop after a recommendation by a close friend who is a big "foodie!" I knew a Meatloaf sandwich was going to be on the list so I went directly to the counter to pick one up, I also picked up a country ham sandwich and bottled water to eat in the front seat of my truck (there were no open seats available inside due to the local crowd occupying all the tables and seating), they were very busy. There was plenty of help, everybody was very helpful and friendly. The steam table had plenty of options for lunch or you can choose to have a deli sandwich made but the Meatloaf is piled high in a bun and it packs all the flavor you expect from a farmhouse kitchen table! Attached to the local Waffle House, the people watching as you pump gas is fun and the staff when you run in for a cup of coffee or a snack for the road is always friendly. My favorite main-drag La Grange gas & go place. If you're stopping through on your way to Cincy do me a favor and pass by that other, newer (and generally more expensive) stop on the other side of the street. Visit the underdog. They'll get you taken care of.
