Buc'ees was on my to check out list for a long time and we finally made in on our road trip to Tennessee. It's as big and impressive as everyone says. There are a ton of gas pumps and chargers. The bathrooms are plentiful, well stocked and clean. The merch is amazing. So much Beaver gear we never knew we needed. Buc'ees mugs, beach towels and snacks were the highlights. We also tried them famous brisket and it did not disappoint. Staff is super patient and helpful. Can't hardly wait for the next trip. read more

My family always stops here on the way to Florida. They talk about it all the time. This is my first time. This is apparently the smaller of the 2 as we head towards Gatlinburg. This place has so much to offer. So many sandwiches, drinks and clothing options. You could get lost for hours if you look at everything. We stopped here for lunch. Grabbed chopped brisket sandwich's. Grabbed brisket sandwiches without sauce. They were delicious, so tender and flavorful. The options for jerky were amazing too. They had already packaged jerky or you can buy by the pound. I bought the prepackaged and niece said I bought the wrong kind. So I had to go back before heading home. This was my first Buc-ee's experience and I was in a bit of a rush so I was worried. Once there I kept driving all the way down and thought I was going to have to come back the other way but luck was on my side and pump 38 was open. So I parked and went in! I went in and prepaid for a few gallons since I just filled up in Cincinnati. I also got a little container of milk to mix with my cold brew coffee. It was $1.88 for a pint container, which would be $3.99 at a 7-11. The checker showed me pump 38 before ring in to make sure it was my car. I also had a chance to use the restrooms and they were clean and had a full time attendant cleaning and removing trash. Like others have said, this place is ginormous!! At Easter 2024, I observed: "Inside Buc ee's was very chaotic; folks moving east to west; west to east; north to south, and south to north concurrently. We always try to stop at this location when we travel south and we did recently. This was during the "spring break" season and you could tell when you pulled off the interstate. The line to get in was bumper to bumper. When we finally got into the parking lot we had to wait to get to a pump for fuel. After we fueled we went inside and were met by an Ocean of people. We fought our way to the BBQ sandwich bar to get out lunch and fought our way back to the check out counter. Wow!!! Spring Break is not a good time to stop here. read more

Another trip to Buc-ee's in Richmond, Kentucky on our way to North Carolina. There are people that put fake pictures of their brisket sandwich then say they were shorted on meat. I call b.s. on this. We have been to Buc-ee's in Georgia, Tennessee, Kentucky, Missouri, and Texas. Every single one of these stores prepare the sandwiches right in front of the customers. I have watched them in every store I've been in, weigh out the meat so every sandwich is the same. Look at my picture, it has plenty of brisket. You won't be disappointed. This is the first Buc-ee's I've been to and I don't understand the hype. We stopped because I had to pee and figured hey, why not? People keep raving about it. It was so crowded that by the time I found the restrooms my husband and I were separated and the line to the woman's room was wrapping around the store. My husband was going to top off his car but decided against it because there were just THAT MANY PEOPLE, despite the 80+ pumps or whatever it is they have. Buc-ee's is known as a landmark --- mainly because of its gargantuan size. Imagine an overgrown truck stop for regular cars. That's what this is. People are drawn to the spectacle of it. But, with its grand size, expect an equivalent hoard of patrons checking it out. Simply stated, Buc-ee's is packed full of people. It's like Costco on Super Bowl Sunday when everyone needs supplies. That fact alone deters me from setting foot in here. However, I've been several times because my kids want to go. If you can get past the crowd issue, it's basically a bigger gas station that has bbq, nuts, snacks, and sandwiches. The barbecue is probably the main draw for food and it's decent. However, it's a little pricey at $8.99 for a small sandwich. The reason I am giving this Buc-ee's a 2 star is because the service is just awful. I know it must be rare. But, I actually had a return to make here. We bought a small drink cooler at Buc-ee's during another visit and discovered it had a tear. Despite never using the cooler and having the tags attached, Buc-ee's didn't allow us to return it. Their assistant manager (Tanya) was a little unhinged as well. Although their posted policy allows returns (but it's a weirdly phrased policy if you read their sign), she wouldn't even read it and told us it was too bad. I know that none of you wants to read about my particular problem on a return. I usually don't read people's one-off issues if a place is good. But, Buc-ee's isn't a great place. You can find others on Reddit and online with similar experiences. To me, a business as busy and successful as this one ought to be cool about the rare return. Seriously, I bet this happens very infrequently because most people would never remember to take the item back. Anyway, I suspect many of you will go here despite my negative review. One of the best Buc-ee's! Of course they are always clean since they pride themselves on the cleanest restrooms. That was definitely the case today although it was early in the morning. Staff are always very sweet and helpful. I also appreciate their efficiency when cashing you out since the lines are typically long. Today's visit I tried the breakfast sandwich and OH MY GOD! Only issue was when we were traveling down through Kentucky there were no signs so we had to go on our way home First they have tons of gas pumps. So getting gas is no problem. And if you are lucky like we were, you might even get to meet Buc-ee too. From the numerous of visits that we have made over the last week, I have noticed a trend that Buc-ee may usually only come out on weekends (although some years ago, I did see Buc-ee for the first time on Christmas in 2021). And if you take photos with Buc-ee, an employee may just give you a few Buc-ee stickers (in which we did get two and have also gotten another pair at another location that we happened to spot and take a photo with our favorite beaver). I have never been to a Buc-ee's where I had a poor experience (and I have been so several, not just on my current trip but over the many years when I happen to visit a state with Buc-ee's). Stopped by Buc-ee's for the first time (we don't have these where I live) and... wow, it's huge. I grabbed a breakfast bowl, veggie cup, an Alani, and sparkling water. The breakfast bowl portion is tiny, but with everything else I was full. Nothing blew my mind taste wise, but it's nice to just grab and go. The store is chaotic and overwhelming if you're not used to it, but the staff are nice and let you do your thing unless you need help. It's massive. Food, snacks, clothes, random stuff, and clean. The store has this... lingering smell (not bad, just strong) that made me a little nauseous, but it didn't ruin the experience. Bathrooms are mainly clean, which is always a plus. Parking is plentiful, checkout lines were short, and the cute beaver mascot almost convinced me to buy his stuffed animal, who wouldn't want that little guy? Prices are surprisingly cheap too. I spent around $16 for all my items. Would I go back? Maybe, but it's not my first choice, still fun to see, especially if you've never been. read more

Coming from Los Angeles we have heard the legend of Bucee's and it's incredible bounty of gas station goodness. Social media has made Bucee's famous all over the world, so our expectations were high. We've been to Eddy's World (the largest gas station in California) and some incredible gas stations in Las Vegas - but Bucee's is the best gas station I've ever been to hands down! It's incredible. We drove 40 mins to come here and it was worth it! There are huge sections dedicated to incredible food, Nuts, fudge, BBQ, jerky, baked goods. We went around and tried samples and bought stuff to take home from almost everything they had to offer. We wished we hadn't eaten dinner - the pulled brisket sandwich was insane. The food is better quality than many sit down restaurants. We got souvenirs, food, candy and Nick nacks all with Bucee's face on them. It was worth the drive. We will definitely come back.
