I had a conference here this past weekend and even though it was right off A street, everyone got lost trying to find it. Google maps is apparently a big fat liar and sends you on a wild goose chase... But I digress. The Megan Room is a cute location for parties of about a hundred. It even has a nice patio. It is perfect for baby showers, bridal showers, conferences and would even be suitable for small weddings since it has the patio and a small industrial kitchen. There is ample parking as well. This is a nice addition to the largely underserved banquet facility space in town.

Whoever designed this did a great job. There is a Timber Coffee stand in the lobby with a really nice barista serving fine cup of java. Would recommend.

This event facility is recently built located on Arctic Road…read more I've attended a community event, a private event, and concerts here. It is one of few Anchorage event facilities available to rent, that can hold over 150 people. Parking is ample and the building is secluded enough from neighboring homes. The facility includes a coffee shop/cafe area that you can choose to be open during your event. The facility kitchen is large and open. You have the ability to choose what spaces you want to rent, with the largest space being the gym. If your event has alcohol you will be required to rent the facility as a whole. I like that all rental information to include costs, deposits, etc is laid out clearly online. You will not need to contact anyone directly until you are ready. I believe they even have bouncy houses available to rent. Like most facilities, they have staff there watching. Sometimes they're cool, sometimes they're annoyingly saying the music is too loud when we in the crowd, can barely hear it. Gotta take the good with with the bad ya know?!

We didn't for basketball games, but for practice yes. They host Halloween events (and possibly other holiday events) that I've seen too, just haven't been able to go to them. The owner and the primary instructor is a great teacher and I am already excited to figure out which class I am going to take next! We learned that there are going to be guest teachers at this space as well. They offer needle felting, welt felting, crochet, knitting, macrame... Basically the sky's the limit! There is an open studio on Friday to come and learn from other artists. This is truly a gem for Anchorage.

I have heard stories about how it was quite the place back in the day, but now it just strikes me as odd. They have less oil and gas folks than they once did which speaks to how anchorage has changed, but I never would have expected a baby to appear in the bar of the PCA but it happened.
