WOW!!!! I had an amazing experience that exceeded my expectations!!!!! I recently used Cowtown Pool to do a remodel on my aging Grapevine pool. They removed all the old plaster down to concrete and replastered, they replaced all waterline tiles and all new coping/caulking. I was away during the entire Reno, but they sent several photos a day with details and progress. They accommodated all of my indecision and last minute changes and even took care of some extra needs that would have normally required I seek additional vendors. They made it seamless and easy and we're always courteous, Unlike most pool companies, they do most anything pool related including pool servicing, repairs, chemicals, cleaning, troubleshooting, remodeling and even landscaping. This makes it so much more convenient and it avoids getting into finger pointing when multiple vendors are needed to service pool needs. They promptly reply to calls and emails, will answer endless questions, quote with line item options to fit a budget and everything is done with exceptional quality. My pool is so sparkly and fresh and I am truly amazed at the service from Madeline (office) and husband Ace. Everything was on time and exactly as expected with the pool. They also rebuilt my retaining wall and it is beautiful and fairly priced. So many pluses with a one-stop-shop. I would give them 10 stars if I could!!!!! American Home Shield called them out for a second opinion on a pool equipment service on my salt cell system. I'm the new home owner and they reported the salt cell needed to be replaced, due to water shorting out the board. I was with the tech Craig when he literally spent less than 2 minutes assessing the salt cell, took pics, and said it needed replacing. Yet, American Home Shield denied the repair saying the tech putting in the notes that the damage wasn't due to wear and tear?.. when. questioned this AHS couldn't even explain what wear and tear really ment or entailed! All I want to say is if you are using a Home Warranty Co and they send out Cowntown Pools, tell them you want another pool company to come out. First off they are a very unprofessional company. I had an appointment for between 10 and 12 noon. This guy shows up at 9am in a white t-shirt with no logo or anything and a plain white van. I was reluctant to open my door because I didin't know who he was. He stated he was from Cowtown pool and I said you are 1 hour early, unannounced and you don't have any kind of identification showing who you are. After going back and forth I told him to go in the back yard and I would call my husband who is working at the Police Department and he would come home. My husband talked to the owner who came out and all he told my husband was that we needed a new manifold back up valve to fix it. When I talked to American Home Shield, he told them my pool equipment was beyond repair, just like he has stated in the other reviews that you see here on Yelp. My heater turns on and off and runs. I have the pictures of what my pool equipment heater really looks like and it's nothing like the pictures this guy took and sent into AHS. After reading the other reviews on Yelp, Cowtown has done the same exact thing to other homeowners. They are told the same exact thing and after what Cowtown files with AHS the homeowner is denied coverage. That shows a pattern if you look at all of the reviews on this site. Isn't this a bit supspicious that Cowtown Pools always writes a bad review for Home Warrenty companies so the only option a homeowner has is to pay full price to fix their pool equipment with Cowtown?. I have the Platinum Plan with AHS and they are either to fix or buy me a whole new system if it can't be repaired. Because of what these people wrote they claimed I was at fault even though the pool equipment was over 15 years old and has been out in the Texas heat and elements for 15 years. Isn't this normal wear and tear? Not in the eyes of Cowtown Pools. Do yourself a favor. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. READ THE FOLLOWING REVIEWS AND WHAT COWTOWN POOLS DOES WHEN THEY WORK WITH A HOME WARRANTY COMPANY? I want to know why Cowtown Pools couldn't tell my husband exactly what he stated to AHS? He had one story for my husband and another for the home warranty company. I guess if you can't get your stories straight and it's difficult to lie straight in the face to a person this is what you do. I'm going to file a report about Cowtown to Ken Paxton the Attorney General of Texas. They can read all of these same comments on Yelp what Cowntown is doing to customers who have Home Warrenty Companies. I'm attaching photos below to show what the inside of my heater looks like. Everthing is in order, wires are all attached, but the inside is a little rusty. But this is to be expected on something that has been outside for 15 years in the Texas heat and rain. The heater turns on t oo but it doesn't stay on, so Cowtown is lying when they say nothing works. Madeline states my husband cleaned out rodent mess which is an outright lie! All we did was blow out the leaves. My husband looked inside and there were NO RODENT dropings. Besides that why does your company always come up with the same story for every customer who has a Home Warrenty? They need a valve to fix it and you have to do it. Read all of the other Yelp reviews and they all say the same thing. You tell the home warranty companies the same excuse not to pay for the warranty. So you are going to be reported to The Attoryney General of TEXAS along with the attached reviews from all of the customers who have stated the same thing about your company. Worst company ever. You can't be trusted. One last thing. If I had pest damage why could you turn my heater on and off and it ran. If a pest had damaged the system nothing would work, yet you failed to note that in your remarks that the system works. You only state the same thing as you always tell others. You need a valve. Get your story straight. In Madeline's response to me she said there were feces inside the pool equipment. If that was the case the pictures they sent me didn't show ANY FECES ONLY LEAVES! Now because I'm going to report Cowtown Pools to the Attorney General's office she told AHS that I am theartening her. LOL. I have a right as a customer to report businesses to the Attorney General Office if I want to. That isn't a threat that is a right by any customer. You showed NO feces in any pictures, you give the same pat answer as seen in all of these Yelp reviews so that shows something fishy is going on between you and these Warranty Companies. So my Dear, why is your story always the same??? As I stated don't use this company if you are dealing with a Warrenty company. BTW looking on the Hayward website I can get a manifold bypass vavle kit for $79.06. This company was going to charge $4190. Incredible. read more

They were contracted through American Home Shield to replace a defective Century 2HP 110V plug in pump. This pump plugs into a dedicated 20Amp GFCI circuit. This Pool Pump and Chlorinator are the only two things plugged into this circuit. Though American Home Shield approved the repair and full replacement of the pump which means Cowtown Pool will be fully reimbursed by AHS as per their agreement. Cowtown Pool is trying to extort out of me an additional $535.00 claiming they need to bring my 1958 Anthony pool up to code, and the only thing they were planning on doing was installing a GFCI receptacle as required by NEC 2023, but that receptacle is already there and functioning. When trying to reach out to them the receptionist says she needs to reach out to the technician for further information. But over a week and no response. read more

If your home warranty company wants to send out Cowtown pools call them back and request a different provider. I contacted One Guard Home Warranty about my freeze sensor on my pool. They sent Cowtown Pools out with a service call. Cowtown Pools did not look at the Freeze sensor. My wife made sure to mention the freeze sensor to the tech when he was here looking at the pool. Cowtown Pools reported back about the heater needing to be replaced and that it was not covered due to the freeze. They never checked the freeze sensor. The report was given back to One Guard who denied the repair. When I called Cowtown to get a copy of what they said and the pictures the tech took, they would not return calls. So I called back several times. They were obviously screening their calls. After several days of this, I had a friend call and they promptly returned his call. While on the phone Cowtown set another appointment to come back out to look at the freeze sensor. Within the next couple of days Cowtown canceled the apt. According to Cowtown Pools, One Guard Home Warranty canceled the service. When speaking with One Guard Home Warranty, they said I had canceled it. Cowtown then told One Guard I had been harassing them and they did not want to work with me. My biggest issue is not getting a straight answer and them dodging my calls when I followed up. It is not Cowntown's fault that the One Guard does not want to do the repair. What is their fault is that they did not check the freeze sensor, which my wife specifically mentioned was the issue. If Cowtown had checked the freeze sensor and then sent me a report on their findings with the photos the tech took after the service call, I would have nothing to complain about. read more

I have a warranty company and Cowtown pools was the company that came out. At that time I ask them to give me a bid on a blower and to level the concrete under my heater. They gave me a quote that sounded good. So they said they would order the blower and fix the concrete slab at the same time. They said it would take about two weeks for the blower to come in and would call me at that time. I waited about three weeks and called them. They said they were sorry that the blower have not come in but they would call me when it did. I waited three or four more weeks and called. They acted like they had no idea what blower I was talking about but they would check into it and call me back. They did not call me back. I called back about five or six weeks later and they said that they would check into it and call me back. They never call me back. I'm sooo frustrated and disappointed. read more

Our home warranty uses this company so I requested service to diagnosis damage after the freeze. Someone came out on March 30. I have made at least 4 phone calls, 4 emails as well as 3 phone calls to American Home Shield . Still no response from Cowtown Pools. Amazing all around. Our pool was well past needing to be resurfaced/ updated. I researched companies via Better Business Bureau and online reviews. Had several companies bid the job and decided on Cowtown. Competitively priced. Have been impressed from day one. Answered all questions no matter when I contacted them during the process. Never had to wonder what the next step was as they kept us informed of each step of process. Our pool turned out gorgeous and have hired them to do weekly service. They came out to repair our pool filter and booster pump. (This was an American Home Shield claim.). The technician they sent seemed like he was on his first week at the job. It took a month to fix the filter. They said they couldn't fix the booster pump until the weather warmed up due to the water being to cold to reach into. I offered to drain the pool. They declined that. During the filter repair, the tech cracked a PVC fitting to the filter and broke the pool pump strainer cap. I also found leaks in the water supply line connections to the filter. He didn't adjust the lengths. I called to ask for someone to come back out and they went radio silent after that. They don't answer calls and won't return a call. I think they screen their calls. I would never call them for a pool repair or an installation. Avoid them at all costs. There are far too many other pool companies available to you. read more

Company Customer Service is Aweful. When you ask them to fix the problem. They create another problem and won't come back to fix it. The Pool tech leaves without discussing what he did or didn't do. Don't Bother calling because they have such a high volume of calls and will never respond back. read more

They resurfaced my 12 year old salt water pool and did an excellent job as far as being timely and giving me a quality product. I had a problem with air bubbles and called about fixing the problem, but apparently my message didn't get to them from voice mail. When I called back they immediately came out, found the problem which was a leak in the hose which had nothing do to with the quality of their work. I previously gave them a 1 or 2 star but based upon the overall experience I would change it to a 5 star and would recommend them as a quality company. David read more

Very very unprofessional company. I got a quote they "put me on the calendar" and did the first of 3 cleaning they were suppose to do. After 3 weeks of no communication or cleaning I called to see what what going on. The first couple of times I called they said I was on the calendar and will be taken care of as soon as they can. Another 3 weeks after that they stopped responding all together and did not return my calls. it have been over 3 months for getting quoted and about 6 weeks from our last communication. Unfortunately, this company no showed/no call to cancel on us 3 times within 1 week regarding a service repair we had requested. We had used Cowtown Pools in the past with success but this time we received terrible customer service and will never hire them again in the future. Their reception staff was completely inept at scheduling a technician to arrive at our home on the promised date and time. Cowtown pools had incredibly poor communication and lots of false promises to follow up and be back in touch with us that never happened. They waster our time on 3 different occasions while we waited for their technician to arrive. Save your time and money and schedule with another reputable company. read more

They did a very good job installing a pool, retaining walls, fence pillars, paver driveway and paver fire pit area. They are honest people and responsive to concerns and issues. Not everything went perfectly, as you might expect with a big project, but they took care of all the issues that came up. Once they started, everything moved along at a reasonable pace and errors were corrected within days. Their sub-contractors were all real pros. I was very impressed with the high-end finishing touches and their association with some of the best pool and patio sub contractors in the DFW area. The plaster installer knew most of my neighbors by their first name and had done their pools over the past 25 years. The paver team have done many of the amazing paver projects in Southlake and Westlake. They knew what they were doing. The job was really done very well. read more

Cowtown came out twice to look at our pool heater in Burleson, TX. The diagnosis they gave to our home warranty company was different than the one they told us. The warranty company denied coverage based on their diagnosis. They never returned our calls to discuss this matter. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL! Would not recommend. read more
