They were extremely thorough, provided plenty of great photos and went over the report with the buyer, line by line. Then, they went over and above by agreeing to do the walk-through on the morning of the closing since the buyer could not be there due to work and was closing remotely. Additionally, they were able to refer the buyer to a termite inspector and insulation company. They know their stuff and they are extremely kind. We are all so grateful to them.

For some reason, I have never understood, some inspectors seem the think it is their duty to do everything they can to stop a sale. The house being sold was built in 1970. These guys compared this house to a new one. Of course there were differences, some of which should be corrected, but there were a multitude of deficiencies due strictly to age. They accomplished their goal, the buyer canceled. I have seen many inspections thru the years, but I have never seen one as brutal as this one. It is 100 pages! As I said at the beginning, I realize the house is a 1970 model and will not be as good as a 2026 model, but most inspectors I have dealt with have made mention of that fact to the buyer. You have to expect some deterioation in 56 years. And like I previously said, some of the exceptions were warranted. but 100 pages???

Called the inspector and he seemed very incompetent and did not know much. We trusted them to do a good job but after we bought the home we had so many issues that were over looked by the inspector. The main one being the roof. He failed to get up on the roof and inspect it. There were so many holes. Awful inspection company. Not to mention he never he turned on the pool. We paid extra for it too. Look elsewhere because J and S Home Inspections is not recommended at all. BEWARE 1
