John did a great job explaining the details of what was going to be done. We were impressed by him because other bigger name local companies were just in and out and didn't seem to really give a damn if we chose their company or not. Armor did exactly what was expected and more John was able to increase our claim by pointing out some things that the insurance adjuster missed. Luckily our insurance USAA adjusted the claim and we were able to get out chimney completely redone and reinforced because the original contractor did poor craftsmanship. I was surprised the chimney didn't come crashing down during the strong winds we had a few months ago. We were so satisfied with the roof work that we decided to hire Armor to put up a brand new privacy fence with a beautiful stain at a more appealing price versus the big name local fence companies. Our experience with Armor was a positive experience and would recommend doing business with them. ABF put a new roof on my house 5 years ago. Until we had the recent heavy rains there hadn't been a…read moreleak. I have a flat roof and they are notorious for leakage. I had been diligent to keep leaves off the roof so they wouldn't clog the drains, but the company that had been cleaning the roof stopped working for me. After they left, we had a surge in rainstorms, flooding the roof. I was unable to find anyone to get up on the roof to clean the leaves off so the drains became stopped up with leaves. Unable to drain, the water was unable to run off. creating a lake on top of my house. When I contacted ABF about it, they sent two men to check the blockage. They opened the drains and the water gushed out of the drains to empty the water off the roof. They discovered a small area up the wall and repaired it. The hole was at least a foot higher than the roof floor. I was appreciative that the men came out so quickly to handle the problem, and that they handled it while they were here. The men were polite and professional. They knew what they were doing and did it quickly. ABF has my business for sure!

I was promised some things in the contract before the but found once the started. They were trying to pull back and charge me certain extras that we had agreed would be included in the price. None of the workers that showed up were local or English speaking. So communication was very difficult. I had issues after was installed, and it was very apparent at that time that this company really didn't know a whole lot about metal . I explained to them that water was not rolling off my back patio in the proper manner and was cupping underneath the ceiling of my covered patio creating water damage as time went on. They couldn't offer me an educated explanation as to why that was happening nor could they give me a decent remedy for fixing the problem. After a lot of wasted time. Coming down to Austin from Lubbock (their home base) after a hail storm should have been a red flag especially when they didn't have a local crew. My personal opinion is that maybe they grew too fast and lost the roots of the business which would be customer service as well as learning how to manage money. I'm not terribly surprised that unfortunately they're in the position. They are now. Good news is I found a wonderful local company. That is very educated in metal roofing.
