Wonderful meal here today. Exceptionally helpful and friendly staff who were extremely committed to accommodating us - they moved chairs and customers to enable our mother, who is wheelchair bound, to enjoy a tasty meal. Appreciation to a local taxi driver who recommended this place and to the customers who were so willing to move for us. We'll be back for sure. read more

This restaurant gave me RAW meat and gave me food poisoning for over a week I was so throwing up. The customer service was horrible and the waiters were so rude to me that I left earlier read more

Not my favorite steakhouse pub in town. False advertising outside. 2 Specials advertised, and had none left when we entered. Creme brulee & other desert advertised on menu in front, haven't had it in years. The food we ordered was mediocre and bland. And the advertised WiFi doesn't work in the restaurant. I would skip this place next time. read more

Hotel restaurant looked horrible, so we ventured out despite being exhausted. Found the restaurant first so went there, but probably would have preferred the pub. Burger was good. Companion got fish & chips, which were good. Guinness on tap (of course) so I was happy. They were even nice and called a taxi for us when I was too tired to make the walk back. read more

Very good atmosphere with very good music and friendly people. If you want to meet the good people of Castlebar this is the place. Oh the drinks were also good. read more

Best steakhouse and pub in town, food is fantastic and fresh. The place is great for romantic evenings to group outings. They have a lovely cheap house wine you should check out read more

So not a child friendly restaurant. Myself , husband and our 1 & 3 year old children went to Coxs for food over the weekend as we have ate here before with the children. 3 year old was given crayons and a colour in kiddies menu and 1 year olds food was served pretyy much staright away. There was only about 4-5 people in the part of the bar we were in and they were gathered around a blaring telly up in the corner. 3 year old got a little upset as she was hungry and food seemed to be taking ages. It was eventually delivered after 30 minutes of waiting. I had just gone out to thecar to get something for 1 year old as he was a little whingy and starting to get tired. As i came in husband was getting up to leave. The owner of the bar (who never identified himself as such) had come over and told husband to keep the noise down!!! We paid for the 7-ups we had and left the food untouched on the table. I asked the barman who was the person who spoke to us and the owner overheard this and marched back up and told me he was the owner. i asked how do we keep children completely quiet and he told me he knew only too well himself as he had children too. He also said he didn't like my attitude!!!! and walked away again passing a smart remark about me to the other customers at the bar. We will never, ever eat here agian, it claims to be a child friendly restaurant.....ha ha ha what a joke! read more
