First off, Tim was on hand --on a Sunday evening-- to take a call from the tow truck driver, and confirmed he could get to the job without delay. By the time I was awake and called on Monday morning, the job was almost done! A couple hours more, and Someone's at my hotel to pick me up to get my truck! I didn't even ask for a ride. By noon, I was back on the road. T & T provided service that was as good and as helpful as I've ever had in 35 years of driving. On the way we called several auto parts stores only to learn the nobody had the belt in stock and it was 2-3 days out. Bell Motor Company didn't have the belt either but the parts guy was able to get it ordered in overnight. Meanwhile Carissa the service manager had the car checked to make sure it was only the belt and then gave us a ride to a local hotel. Everyone at the dealership went out of their way to be friendly and helpful.

I called Cliff's Towing in Shelby and asked if he could take my vehicle to the Ford Dealership in Great Falls. THE GOOD: The response time was excellent and the vehicle was delivered to my location of choice. The distance I was charged for was 89 miles. THE BAD: The charge per mile was $5. (5 X 89=$445) Well, it was on Saturday afternoon. I could have accepted that rate. But then it got REALLY BAD: An additional $100 was tacked on for a TOWING FEE. Too, it was the owner of Cliff's Towing who provided the service.

So, here we are, 1200 miles from home, on the side of a highway with semis zooming past at 80mph, it's -14 out, so we're freezing our @$$ off in a dead car... GM OnStar sent us a friendly Sheriff so we had a warm cop car to sit in while we waited for the tow truck. Jim from A-1 Towing showed up and saved our day (well, night). He got our truck on his flatbed quickly and drove us all the way to Great Falls, where he dropped off the car at the Chevy dealer, patiently waited while we collected our belongings out of our vehicle, and drove us to our hotel. Not just was Jim helpful in towing our car, he was super nice, told us about the area, gave us suggestions on what to do since we'll probably be stuck here for a few days, and just really went out of his way to make sure we were OK! If you're broken down around here, don't waste your time or effort calling anyone else.

But, they had gas, pumps that worked and I was able to fill the tank. That's really the purpose of a gas station, so 3 stars.
