Can't remember if I've ever been through this town. Typical drive in Texas where I'm stuck behind 18 wheelers and of course at least one farm tractor for miles. Coordinating with my coworker who was driving in from Plainview for pickup we literally texted each other with a two minute difference in arrival time. The Crossing was the first gas station / convenience store I saw in town. Pulled in and once the exchange was done we ventured in for a potty break and drinks. First time seeing a salad bar in this type of business. And, it actually looked appealing! We've all traveled major roads in whatever state you're from. Yes, I've snickered at gas station sushi in Mississippi. There are things you DON'T want in this setting. Yet, The Crossing made it look seamless. Clean bathrooms at least on the mens side. Usual suspects like Hunt Brothers pizza present and a glass case full of fried goodness too. I think they do burgers too? We grabbed drinks not big enough for a million stops to return and went our separate ways. Ten employees working but nobody was super friendly.

When we visited her this was the 1st place on our list. The restaurant is right next to convenience store next door. The place is quaint and cozy. I loved the plaid table cloth and decorative coke signage. I ordered the catfish plate and it came with either hush puppies or french fries. The batter was rather bland, which was unusual per my friend's comment. She also found out that the usual chef was not working at that time. Overall, the service was alright, and the place was clean. The food could be better for our visit.

The table next to us all got hamburgers that looked really good. My friends were ok with their dishes too so it is safe to say three stars. Probably would not come here again but because there wasn't a lot of healthy options.

Absolutely unacceptable experience at this location…read more My girlfriend stopped in to buy nothing more than a bottle of water and was asked to provide identification and have it scanned. She left feeling singled out, embarrassed, and humiliated over a routine purchase. What makes this even more concerning is that we've heard from others who claim this isn't an isolated incident and that people of color are being asked for identification and ID scans in situations where other customers are not. If that's true, it's deeply troubling and raises serious concerns about racial profiling. Whether this was the result of poor training or intentional conduct, no customer should ever feel targeted because of the color of their skin. Businesses have a responsibility to treat every customer with fairness and respect. I sincerely hope corporate investigates this location, reviews the surveillance footage and employee conduct, and takes appropriate action if these concerns are substantiated. Until then, I cannot recommend supporting this business.

This gas station gave small Buc ees vibes. I went in to use the restroom and came out twenty minutes later with snacks, random things, and a drink I could not pronounce.
