Really I'm retired, not working, it should be easy; the girl agreed 20 minutes. I called every week, I was told they were done on Mar 12th but waiting for review. I am retired not working, what is to review? What level of accountant did my taxes? I kept calling, was told Dawn was out of town, no taxes to be processed until she returned. APRIL; tax time! Called and was told they were waiting on something, what could that be? Calling April 9th, was told Dawn had 100 customers to review and would do them over the weekend. April 14th called to see if done, just an answering machine now. Left message, that tomorrow was April 15th; I would be in to pick up my documents, please have them ready. Apr 15th 9:00am West Coast Accounting, 4 other very unhappy customers. I instructed the receptionist to please get my taxes, again was told they are in review. I requested a copy of the extension they filed without my consent, and my documents and upon opening the envelope found them untouched! The truth, they never attempted to process. This new owner Dawn is not reliable, the girls lie, no level of courtesy. The receptionist did not apologize or seem to care at all. Fail no star.

I left my tax stuff it took longer than it ever has with very bad communication. They kept telling me it was under review.Then a guy called to ask what one my 1099 was from(which he couldn't grasp either that wasn't from my current job but a different company that I am a brand partner) and once I cleared that up he said they were done and just had to be copied and someone from front would call the next day or 2. NOPE! A week goes by I call again and they tell me it under review by a senior accountant! So what whoever did my taxes wasn't competent! 2 1/2 weeks later they called said come get them and the charge was the same as what I had been paying even though I didn't take them anything for expenses like I normally do. Come to find out none of the previous accountants are still there it was bought out by some other company! We will not go back! Worst tax experience I have ever had!

When I went to pick up my return several weeks later the price she had given me was $60 higher. When I complained that the price had ballooned to a much higher cost, she agreed to reduce the price by $20 and her explanation was that my return involved more work than was anticipated. This was not true since we had that pre-return sit down earlier during which I had fully explained my specific tax situation and she understood what was involved.I also thought it strange that if the upcharged price was legitimate then why would she then lower it by $20 ? It sad to think that even CPA's pad their bills. Follow the old adage, "get it in writing"
