I had something in mind (bluebonnet field), but they really rolled with the idea and found us the perfect location! What I like most about Jared and Paul is their enthusiasm to take the best possible pictures all while making sure the client was also having an enjoyable time (which we did!) We spent the entire afternoon with them, finding new locations to shoot. We weren't locked into any particular spot, which we were really appreciative of. While they clarified with us that they had only recently begun their photography business together, their photos proved they had a true talent for this and in no way did we feel like we were with amateurs. They were professional and the photos speak for themselves. (Amazing.) We've had dozens of people share how much they loved the finished images. :) For all our future photography needs we will definitely be calling them again!

I didn't notice him at all during the ceremony, yet judging by the photos, he was everywhere! Our guests said the same thing - "he was everywhere"! Every single time something happened that I wanted a photo of, there he was already getting set up for the shot! I was amazed. Plus, the guests loved his friendly and easy-going personality. There are a handful of themes to run with: Civil War, Western, Victorian, 1920s... They each have separate sets and a variety of costumes to choose from. We decided on the 1920's. The guy running the shop that day was very helpful and eloquently relayed instructions for putting on my one-size-is-made-to-fit-all flapper costume. He helped me accessorize appropriately, and said my short hair was perfect to portray a flapper girl. My friend, the gangster, wore a stripped tux and fedora. We leaned against a faux brick wall, made up to look like a dark and dingy back ally (very cool!). The same guy who helped with my costume (I wish I had asked for his name, he was great!), took our photos. He arranged us in different poses with various props. He set the tone by describing different scenarios as if we were acting out a scene; "Okay, now act like a strange car just rolled up and you're gonna shoot first and ask questions later..." The shots we chose featured the two of us bearing giant machine guns with smug expressions. We were also highly involved with the selection and editing process: First he went through and deleted any blurry shots. Then continued scrolling through each pose frame-by-frame, until it was narrowed down to a handful of images. It's $29.99 for the first portrait, and only $10 for each additional image. We bought 3 different poses along with cardboard frames, spending around $60 in total. You can tell he loves his job, the guy who took our portrait was very helpful, personable, and professional. A couple of our images printed bearing white dust marks, and he continued to reprint them until everything was perfect. Galveston Old Time Photos is a whole lot of fun, and worth every penny! I highly recommend this stop on the Strand!

So of course we were excited, first family/maternity shoot. Initially I do the $59 Groupon. I took…read morea photo back in July of 2015 with him. He was nice and worked well with us. Now, A month later, we haven't received our 11x14 canvas that comes with the groupon. And then I ended up buying the $300 (actually $375) package to get all the pics plus the 20x20 canvas. So mind you, I now should get two. Got all the pictures digitally and no canvases. Took about 3 months for the 20x20 canvas and still to this day, I don't have the other. I basically paid $500 and everything about him --- gone. He no longer has his website and the phone number I used to contact him by also is no longer working. One more thing, he does this cute slideshow preview of your pictures and that comes with the $300 package... I finally decide to open the disc and watch it, and..... It's the CHEN FAMILY! So... If any of you who got the slideshow discs from him happen to have the Ramos family... That's us. I don't know if he honestly fell ill and had to get hospitalized, but he should at least close out on a good note with the people he had as clients. At least y'all don't have to worry about taking pictures with him.

(2) I looked up the numbers available to call from Groupon and Yelp, the business number (ending 1966) failed and one was to the Alley theatre (ending 5700)! (3) I emailed the biz @ info@meomyphotography.com, and got the "could not deliver" error! I've already contacted Groupon Customer Support.
