I have known Ben Sassani for years and have admired his work. I always said when I get married, I want this guy to shoot my wedding. I booked him over a year out and as the wedding came closer we scheduled our engagement pictures. Ben was willing to start at the Hotel and finish off outdoors. The pictures turned out amazing, and he set up a very easy to use website where we were able to order high quality prints. These pictures were featured at our wedding in large format. We got lots of compliments for the images! Even though you know the photographer and his work, on your wedding day you are still nervous that the images will turn out great. Fast forward about a month and a half later and I receive the images in a custom wood box. Once, reviewing the images, we were in love. He was able to capture all of the emotions of the night in still images. Ben, is not for everyone. If you want the cheesy, posed shots, this is not your guy. His style is more photo journalistic, and will get his angles. You just have to trust him and his work. The final product will speak for itself.

Umm; ok connect with my sis from home but she's…read morenot doing sessions right now bummer because I've seen her work and she's amazing now the daunting task of finding a great photographer. Well I received several recommendations but none just wow'd me and I figured I should search Yelp duh why wouldn't a Yelp Elite come to Yelp 1st right?? Well because sometimes my fellow Yelpers are foodies and we review what we do most so I checked for local photographer and came across this hidden gem (ok hidden to me) but it's no secret to Friendswood and I'm excited to say I'm looking forward to my daughters session; from the few pics on Yelp to their Instagram I knew I wanted to have her session done by this genius!!! We have gone to the consultation and my quiet daughter was open and speaking with Mr David like she's known him so I know they will have a great session!! So looking forward to June!!! So check back late June for the update and who knows I may share a photo but until then just do like I did and check their Instagram and Website and be amazed it's like magazine celebrity shots!!

With their good recommendation, I decided to use DC Stanley as our wedding photographer. My advice to anyone who is looking for a photographer is to make sure to have a comfortable relationship with good rapport. David (DC Stanley) is very relatable and laid back. Positives: -Price. I think he hits the right price point for me. He has great packages that usually include prints, DVD for the wedding pictures, wedding book and engagement, bridal and wedding sessions. -Quality. The quality of his work is very good. He knows his way around a camera or two! I would go on his website to look at his work. -Misc. They will design invitations, save the dates, etc. I did not use their services for these, but I was aware they do have this available to you. -This is a family business. His wife, "V", does a lot of the business side and she is very responsive to all e-mails and phone calls. His studio is pretty cool. Negatives: -His studio is in Friendswood, so not easy access to everyone in Houston. Although, they are very accommodating when trying to set up a meeting (on Sundays, etc) Overall, he is a great guy and a great photographer! The property owners they work with for their outdoor photography area are even sweethearts. Communication is always timely and hours are flexible. I will def be coming back.
