Mariemil suggested we use the Cal State Long Beach Japanese Gardens as the backdrop for our family. Very nice. The location was free from crowds and had a number of beautiful settings including koi ponds, wooden bridges, walkways, foliage, etc. She suggested a number of different set-ups throughout the one hour sitting and we ended up with about 100 different photos. WAY more than we had expected. I absolutely LOVE what Mariemil and Paolo are doing. They are creating ART!! Highly recommend.

Before the wedding, Laura called us before talking about pricing and logistics just to get to know us personally and our story. She was the only one that did that among photographers on our list and one of the few among all wedding vendors we booked. I think it really helped her get the right shots matching our personalities to the photos. Her pricing is excellent especially for the amount of work she puts in. Our engagement shoot was great. She planned it out perfectly to get the right scenery with the natural light. It was a long day, but she made sure we were energized with enough breaks and coffee. The day of the ceremonies, she and her team were extremely well coordinated with all of the vendors. They were super-efficient getting portraits in before and after without feeling rushed. I think most important of all is she and her team were a blast to work with! After the festivities, she sent us a small batch of photos immediately to share with the family and the big album about 2 months later which is quicker than we expected! Recently, I received devastating news that my dog of nine years had been diagnosed with terminal…read morecancer and was given a very short life expectancy. I knew immediately that I wanted to take family pictures with my family (which consists of two dogs and my long term boyfriend). I immediately thought of my sisters wedding photographer, Christine Meeker Pictures, who did such an amazing job at her wedding in January. Boy am I glad I called them! I called on a Monday and spoke with Laurie, she was so sweet, caring and professional. After explaining what I wanted she had me booked that same week on Thursday! Such a quick turn around! When we arrived for the pictures, their studio was amazing. We loved all of the outside setups and props that we were able to take pictures in front of. Even thought my dogs were a little crazy with all of the stimulation, Christine and Jennifer were fantastic. They were so patient and you could tell how much they love and enjoy what they do. One thing I really loved was during each picture grouping Christine would say, "Got it!" when she got the picture. It was such a wonderful experience during such a difficult time for my family. Before leaving, they already had me set up with a date to come back and review the pictures. The review process was amazing with Amanda as well. I loved the set up of the room and how she went over all of our pictures in a slide show format. It felt very personal and was a great touch. Now to the pictures themselves... They are absolutely amazing! I couldn't have asked for a better turnout. I loved all of them, so it was difficult to choose which ones I wanted. I ended up ordering three prints of different sizes and a book. Words can't express how happy I am and how much I will treasure these pictures.
