Absolutely the Best Place I've Ever Taken My Dog - 10/10 Experience! If you're looking for a place that will treat your dog like family, look no further than Cozy Noses. I cannot express enough how grateful I am to have found this facility, especially for my unique situation. I have an almost two-year-old Belgian Malinois named Athena. She's incredibly smart, loyal, and protective--but she also has a history of extreme aggression, which makes finding a safe, understanding, and well-equipped boarding facility a real challenge. I was going out of town for just under a week and had no friends or family available to watch her. Naturally, I was anxious and stressed about where she could stay, especially since I'd had bad experiences in the past with places that didn't understand how to work with dogs who have behavioral issues. After doing a ton of research and getting referrals from family and friends, I came across Cozy Noses, and I'm so glad I did. From the very first phone call, I was met with nothing but professionalism, kindness, and an honest willingness to help. I probably called them four or five times before even dropping Athena off--asking everything from what vaccinations were required to whether her specific needs could be accommodated--and every single time, the staff was patient and thorough. They never made me feel annoying or bothersome for calling so much. That alone gave me a great first impression. I let them know up front that Athena has had incidents of aggression in the past and that she should be marked as "do not touch" or "do not approach" for safety. The staff took this very seriously, and they handled it with so much professionalism and care. On the day of drop-off, the process was smoother than I could've imagined. The kennel was freshly cleaned and ready for her, and the environment felt calm, organized, and welcoming. While I was away, I called in regularly to check on her--and not once did I feel like I was being a burden. The staff was always ready to give me updates on how she was doing, what her temperament was like that day, and whether she was eating and resting well. They truly catered to her individual needs and made the entire experience stress-free for both of us. Knowing she was being looked after by such competent and compassionate people gave me complete peace of mind. By the time I picked Athena up, I could tell she had been well cared for. She was calm, clean, and seemed surprisingly at ease considering her usual behavior in new environments. I was absolutely blown away. This facility is clean, organized, and clearly run by people who genuinely love animals and understand their needs--especially those with more challenging temperaments. I truly believe Cozy Noses went above and beyond for us. I now have complete trust in them and wouldn't hesitate for a second to bring Athena back in the future. I recently had an emergency and needed to board my dog. I have used Cozy Noses over the past 10 years and was always satisfied. However due to health concerns and my dog now being a senior and needing medication I was concerned how he would fair this time. Cozy noses accommodated his special needs and always updated me on his status. I was able to add an extra day at the last minute with no problem. When I picked my dog up he was in good spirits and had no adjustment issues afterwards (upset stomach, agitation,change of appetite). I am so thankful for the care and service Cozy Noses gave my special boy over the years and especially now as a senior. Their prices are reasonable and add on services like a bath is always a treat. From the second you walk into this establishment you know the kind of business they are. Cozy Noses takes pride on the services they provide for your fur baby. I was a complete nervous wreck leaving behind my 14 month old German Shepherd for the first time, and they made me feel at ease from day one. They were patient and very accommodating. They also answered every question I had, and kept in-touch letting me know how my baby was while I was away. I went to look at this place as a possible place to board my 2 dogs, as it was recommended by a friend who boarded there a few years ago. I left there in tears.......If you love your animals, you will understand. The staff was not friendly and any questions I asked I was met with snide answers. I was taken in the back to look around, and the place smelled like vomit and pee. The poor dogs were all in cages with concrete floors with filthy blankets on the floor. I asked how/when they can go outside and was told if its too hot or too cold, the doors are closed and they are let out whenever. The dogs all looked dirty and sad as well. This place looked more like a shelter than a boarding facility. I would NEVER send my animals to this place. read more

My Golden Retriever and Newfoundland spend a little more than a week every summer at Cozy Noses. They come home happy healthy and clean. I highly recommend them for dog boarding and I will continue to use them every summer. read more

It was clean and it seemed that they cared, but my pups were very skittish when I picked them up. It's a bigger place than I usually where I usually board them. It's like a factory.....not really sure if my pups ate or went to the bathroom or if they got to play on grass(which I paid extra for). I've used Cozy Noses on three separate occasions. We have a two year old Welsh Corgi. They take great care of him, feed him and attend to scheduled play time. Whenever we pick him up, we always hear about positive interactions and despite him being very upset going he always seems happy when he's picked up. Pro-tip, scheduling a grooming session on day of pick up = picking up a nice smelling, groomed dog. Also, they can arrange late pick up (7pm) on certain days. I'm not one to leave a bad review but i'm quite upset about what happened to me here. I boarded my dogs at this facility this past August. This was my first time boarding my dogs and I was very nervous. The facility did allow us to take a tour of the place and it was very clean and all the staff seemed nice but the dogs were all laying on concrete with a blanket down as a "bed". I automatically felt upset about that since my dogs sleep in a regular bed every night. The place honestly reminded me more of a shelter then a place to board your dog. One of my dogs has severe separation anxiety and i had told them about this and stressed that they need to make sure he is okay and he might need some extra attention. The first three days i called every morning to see how my dogs were doing and the first three days the receptionist said that they were doing great and there was no reason to worry. The fourth day I had called another receptionist had told me that my dogs have not eaten since they had gotten to the facility, which i understand is normal for dogs not to eat when nervous but i was not informed of my dogs loss of appetite til the 4th day they were there. I have an older dog too who is prone to hypoglycemia due to his age if he does not eat, which in dogs can be fatal. I was so upset and mad that i was lied to the first three days, because i know my dogs and i could've gave them tips on what they like and what they should do. My dogs came home looking like they had lost an extreme amount of weight and had scratches all over their faces and two hours after they were home, my dog with separation anxiety had started to act funny. He began to have severe orange diarrhea, lethargic, was crying in pain, and no appetite. I rushed him to the vet immediately where they diagnosed him with pancreatitis. My poor dog had to go on a strict low fat diet and 3 different medications for almost 2 weeks because he had gotten so sick. Now i know my dog developing a sickness like this is not entirely their fault and he does have anxiety already which was the primary cause but i was not informed of them not eating, sent no updates, like videos or pictures of my dogs, or told my dog was having any strange symptoms. All i want to say is that please do your research and take your pup to a place that will give them the proper care that they need. read more

I was happy with this place two times, but this last time was a nightmare. We got our golden retriever back with a giant hole in her head, which must have happened during playtime. That means the dogs are let out in a group and are supposed to be played with for an extra $25 a day, or some absurd amount. The only way this could have happened is if there was no one out there watching, and I never agreed to give my dog playtime with other dogs. The WORST part is that no one called us or told us until we found it ourselves. NEVER AGAIN. read more

Cozy was recommened to us when our puppy Bosco was at his 1st vets visit as a good place for his vacation, while we took ours. We stopped in with no appoointment and got an immediate tour of the whole facility. It was a place I wouldn't mind staying. Clean, big, and plenty of space to run and play. Well it's 7yrs later and Bosco goes at least twice a year for vacation and almost every month for a Saturday "spa" day, which includes a bath and some time at "camp". The only thing I can think of better than the facilty, is the people who work there. we have recommended Cozy to several friends and family and they all agree. My friends and family use Cozy Noses all the time. I personally bring my schnauzers here a couple times a year and am always satisfied . Great employees and facility. Their Groomer is wonderful and always makes my dog look great. Office workers are really nice and I feel like they really care about my dogs. Dogs stay in indoor out-door runs and they offer one on one play time so you know your dog isn't locked in a cage all day. read more

I boarded my foster dog with Cozy Noses. They were gracious in taking her and the owner came out and let her give him kisses, he even took her back to her kennel. When I picked her up she was super happy, clean and not stressed out. Our Cock-a-Poo Chipper has been going there several times each year since he was a puppy (he is 12 1/2 now) and has always come home happy and obviously well cared for and loved. We travel a lot and thought we found a great place to board our dog. The first time she went there she came home with lots of cuts and her nose had skin scraped off. We were told she was fine and it was from putting her nose under the fence. When they said that I told the front desk she was supposed to have had a sheet metal sided pen as she is not good with other dogs. Never got an answer to that. We gave them another try and all seemed to be well. This third time however, August 2014, was another problem. A few days after we got back from travelling our dog came down with kennel cough. We took her to the vet to confirm and get medication which cost me $139. Our vet said it was definitely the kennel since she doesn't interact with any other dogs as she is dog aggressive. He suggested I call the kennel so that I may receive some compensation as other clients who have used other kennels have gotten reimbursed. I did call and spoke with Carol. She told me the owner refused to speak with me or to refund us any money as he felt he was not at fault. Also, that there has never, ever been one case of kennel cough in all the years they have been in business. I was floored. Cleary something is up. I explained to her that both her and the owners answer was very unprofessional. I asked the name of the owner and she said she was hesitant to provide me with that. What?? What kind of a business owner would not allow his/her name to be used? Furthermore, I can get the info right off of google. She then went as far as to blame the vet asking why my dog's vaccinations did not protect her against kennel cough! Can you believe it? She said the vets meds are probably expired and that's what happened. I spoke with her a bit more and clearly she was a very passive person who should not be representing the owner. I have never, ever experienced this from a business. As someone who has worked in sales for many years, customers are your business and without them you have nothing. I told her because of her and the owners' response I will no longer do any business with them. I also have friends who use them who will not use them either. A simple refund of even one nights boarding, $30, would have sufficed and I would have probably continued to do business with them but no more. I guess they don't need it. I also relayed what transpired to my vet and he was clearly not happy that he was being bad mouthed and for no apparent reason. His vaccinations are recorded and tracked. HE will also no longer recommend them. So in closing, if you don't care for your dog bring them here. read more

The services my three dogs received at Cozy Noses Bed and Breakfast for Pets has motivated me to write my first review ever. As I have done many times in the past, when I would have a bad experience while patronizing at a restaurant or a store, I would let it roll off my back, but make a personal note never to patronage that establishment again. But, when my little guys have a bad experience, I am obligated to speak up on their behalf. I traveled to the Ronkonkoma area to spend the Christmas holidays with my parents, my siblings, and their families. As a result, I needed to board my little guys. So, I decided to board my dogs with Cozy Noses Bed and Breakfast for Pets for six days, which was also the duration of my stay. Before I go any further, I should note that during my stay, I called many times to check on my little guys and I was told that they were all doing just fine. But, when I picked up my dogs, that was not the case. To begin with, all three dogs smelled horrendous, and looked like neither had eaten in days. In fact, all three dogs had lost so much weight that I could count their ribs. When I got home, I took my little guys to the Vet and each dog had lost eight pounds each. In addition, one of my dogs had little red marks on the back of his left paw. I also could not believe how thirsty my little guys were once I got them into the car. All three dogs drank two full bowls of water. I could not help but wonder if they gave them any water during their stay. My final thoughts, there was nothing cozy about Cozy Noses Bed and Breakfast for Pets, nor did they treat my dogs as their own. For all my future trips to New York, I will find a more suitable place to board my little guys. A place that actually cares for those extended family members we love so dearly. There is nothing that a representative from Cozy Noses Bed and Breakfast for Pets can tell me that will explain the deplorable treatment of my dogs. read more

My dogs have been happily staying at Cozy Noses for many years. I have diligently searched high and low across Long Island for a safe, clean, happy and professional dog boarding facility. There are absolutely no places that come close to comparing. The facility itself is meticulously cared for which the friendly and helpful staff would be glad to show you at any time (no appointment needed). The owners have gone out of their way to make sure I am always comfortable and at ease when I leave my pets. My dogs always come home happy and healthy. Any request I may have regarding their care is met with the utmost accommodation. I highly recommend taking a tour of the facility to see for yourself. I have never heard a bad word from anyone I know who boards here. This is a beautiful and excellently maintained, family owned facility that is truly my dogs' home away from home. I'm not one to write reviews but this place has me very upset. I have to say I will never use this place again. The care my dog (Shitzu) received was horrible and looking at my dog when i picked him up proved it. It broke my heart. He was there for ten days. I explained when dropping him off that he is a nervous dog so if he seems scared in the larger crate area with the larger dogs where it's very noisy to then please move him to the nursery in a smaller crate with the smaller dogs where it is quiet. I didn't want him confined to a small crate for 10 days but asked them to watch him and if he was scared in the larger crate area to then move him too the nursery. I also explained that he may not eat out of their bowls and if I can leave mine I would feel comfortable knowing he would eat his food. They wouldn't take them. I couldn't leave his bed, a blanket or a toy. I didn't care if i didn't get any of these things back it was just knowing he had his own personal belongings there to comfort him (especially being his first time there). Other places I've been to I was able to bring it all. No problems... When I picked up my dog after the 10 days and he came out, the whites of his eyes were bloodshot red with dry and wet puss all over both eyes. I knew something was wrong. He was stressed. His little white paws were all wet, yellow and smelt like urine. I stood there in shock. It was disgusting and to think that my dog may have rubbed his eyes with his paws or licked his paws, how unsanitary it was. A simple wipe to the eye with a wet cloth would of been nice and I'm guessing he walked around in urine all week. I left so upset I forgot to ask for his food and they never even offered to give it back to me. I got in the car and called my groomer immediately to get him bathed. Even my groomer said it was so unsanitary. This could of caused infection to him. That cost me another $40 on top of the $320 I had paid to them to care for my dog. I don't believe my dog was well taken care of. I don't even know if he ate there. When we got home he sat by his food bowl to tell me he was hungry. We have pets that are part of our family. We love them, take care of them, spoil them and make them happy and would hope that this place would do the same as for they are a pet sitting service to us that we pay for. That is their job. I paid this place to care for my dog and it was clear they didn't. I would never recommend this place to anyone! And the reason why they for one star was because it was the only way to continue with this post. read more
