First time leaving my dog anywhere other than home, and I couldn't be more relieved I chose Bed & Biscuit Kennels. Chopper is a rescue Pit mix -- overprotective, aggressive toward strangers, and not exactly easy to board. I was heading out of the country for 10 days and was a nervous wreck about it. After meeting the owners, though, I felt completely at ease. They were warm, professional, and knew exactly how to handle a dog like mine. I'll admit dropping him off got a little emotional (almost cried -- don't judge me). I had to walk him in and settle him into his kennel myself just to be safe. When I got back, the staff told me he'd been calm the whole stay. Then they brought him out -- and he came out wagging his tail, happy as ever, friendly with every single person on staff. I was floored. If you have a difficult dog, a rescue, or just a pup you're overprotective of -- this is the place. I won't leave Chopper anywhere else. Ruff Ruff. read more

Been a customer over 10 years, since joe purchased it. In the beginning it ran smoothly and my dogs were returned to me clean along with all their bedding. Fast forward to 2022 my family took a 10 night cruise.i left my 2 dogs there for 14 days as we had a snowstorm in my and our flights were canceled. when we finally got home i arrived there at 11 or 10 am. the dirt was locked snd i had to knock and wait at least 5 minutes to get someone to open door, finally they arrive, i pay they get my dogs. their beds are filthy and smelly as were they. poop stuck to butts they looked neglected. the owner Joe, who used to get along with me just fine began resenting my requests to drop off early and pick up later as this was his policy in the beginning. Never did i receive an update telling of these changes. He also gave me a discount for cash payments which he stopped. He's rude and nasty. My dogs are not allowed back there because i complained and wrote a truthful review of how i got them back, ( as if i'd bring them back haha ) Be wise inspect any place you leave your pet family member. If I could have checked no stars that's what I would have. This place is disgusting and stinks of cigarette. I brought my healthy happy puppy here a few months ago. After constantly checking Facebook, I didn't see pics of my pup. When I called to check on my puppy, the owner answered the phone and told me "ohh she is happy outside playing". Bear in mind, he is not at the establishment. He watches the property from a camera. When I went there to pick up my puppy, my puppy came out crying and limping on the left hind leg. She had a fucking fracture!!!! . The staff member that brought my puppy out told me that the owner knew since 4pm that the puppy was injured and that fat condescending asshole did not call me to tell me nothing. Like what you expect, I wasnt going to see my puppy limping?!?? Instead of apologizing and coming to the establishment to find a solution. Instead, he called the staff on the phone and was very rude and disrespectful. When I asked how it happened he couldn't answer. When I asked if the dogs co-mingle. He said they don't. When I asked "well did someone stepped on her? " , he couldn't answer. I was so frustrated and refuse to leave his shitty ass establisement without him being held accountable for what they did to her, I called the cops!!!! When I asked him where is the lady that checked my puppy in this morning he said he called her and she isn't answering. I asked him why did u lie that my puppy was OK?? And why didn't u call me as soon as the incident happened? the staff member is right here confirming that you knew. He couldn't answer. DO NOT!!!! I REPEAT DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET HERE. Every time I've gone here my doodle gets a great haircut. I brought my senior west there for the first time last visit. She has a big wart cyst kind of thing on her head that I'm worried about removing because I don't want her at 16 to have to go under the knife. I told the groomer about it and she was careful with it. they said she was good and they really gave her a great haircut. read more

Do NOT leave your dog here. I didnt noticed until we got home that one of my Shipoos eyes was almost fully closed. Only one of her eyebrows was cut the other not. She must've poked her in the eye then never cut her eyebrow. She totally shaved my dog too which i couldve done. The woman who 'groomed' my dog was NOT a groomer or mentally ill. I couldv'e done a better job myself. and she wouldnt had an issue with her eye. Most groomers under 40 are people just looking to make money because they cant make it any other way. And our beloved dogs suffer from them. I'll never get a dog who needs grooming again. read more

I am not one to run to write a review. I have a 16-month Samoyed. My daughter found Bed & Biscuit. After speaking to a person (do not know the name) she booked the appointment. She asked me to drop him. I looked up the reviews and thought absolutely no. We tried 4 groomers; this would be number 5. NO ONE has been able to groom him including even a nail cut. He is very high energy with some anxiousness. I decided to go. I was met by Joe. Marshal walked right in. (never before did he do this) Joe talked to me about all my concerns. Marshal greeted him like he knew him. He went right in, did not even look back for me. The breed is very detail in grooming, you have to know what you are doing. These dogs cannot be shaved. I cannot tell you how happy we are. He looks amazing!! Came home happy. Thank you, all Great Job grooming Marshal, and for combatting OUR concerns. Bed & Biscuit you have a new client. My French Bulldog stayed here over a 3 day weekend in August 2013. They were friendly and courteous over the phone, and that is the only reason this isn't a 1 star review. They allowed me to tour the place before leaving my dog, and it seemed pretty clean, considering its a dog kennel. The problems began as soon as I picked my dog up. When I arrived to get my dog, the groomer who had just bathed and groomed him (for a fee) was carrying my dog awkwardly. As soon as my dog saw me he became excited, causing the groomer to lose control and DROP MY DOG from 5 feet. I was outraged. They barely gave me an apology and definitely didn't offer me a discount on the services. Luckily he was fine, but come on, you're a dog groomer you should know how to handle a dog. When we got home, I quickly noticed that my dog was covered in fleas. I am positive that he didn't have fleas when I dropped him off so obviously this kennel wasn't as clean as I thought. I will never bring my dog back to this establishment. As someone who was extremely nervous to board my lab-mix for the first time, I picked Bed and Biscuit based off recommendations from friends in the area. When I arrived to drop off my puppy, the staff was very standoff ish did not care to look at our pups vaccinations records or information. When we came back to pick our dog up two days later, the man behind the counter asked us who we were there to pick up, we told him our dogs name, and the man looked at us like we were crazy. They had no idea who I was or my dog was. Eventually, someone brought out of dogs stuff, which had a label with the wrong dog name and owner information. The man then stated "see I told you you had the name wrong" as if that was our fault. When our dog came out, his leash was also labeled with the incorrect name. The staff was extremely rude and could care less about this incident. They did not even have our information in the system. We asked if our dog had eaten or had any problems, and they wouldn't give us a straight answer. I could not wait to get my dog out of there. Never again. read more

We used Bed and Biscuit for our other Australian Shepherd for over 10 years and had nothing but great experiences with the staff and facility. As our dog aged they were sensitive to her changing needs and always made us feel comfortable leaving her. We also enjoyed seeing her pictures on Facebook while we traveled. That dog has since passed away and we recently introduced our new Aussie to Bed and Biscuit. He was hesitate to leave us initially but, obviously adjusted quickly because we called to get an update on him. He was clean when we picked him up and exhausted from all the stimulation....just like our previous dog. Bed and Biscuit came highly recommended by our agility trainer 12 years ago and we have found the staff to be polite, respectful and most accomodating. read more

I have enjoyed this kennel. I left my dog here in July of 2015. For two years before I was leaving him at Quail Run Kennels. Each time I left him there he came home skinny, with a rash on his stomach, no one paid attention to him and on top of that, they always, somehow, charged us an extra day getting more money out of us. At Bed and Biscuit however, the staff was friendly and knowledgeable. I was able to tour the place before I left my Austin there. I saw where he would play in the yard and get some exercise, where they watch TV with the dogs and where he would be staying. It was a home away from home. Austin came home, for the first time since I've been boarding him, happy, healthy, a small rash on his stomach from laying on the concrete probably (not as bad as Quail run since they offer very little shade for the dogs and ALL of their kennels are outside in the elements). At Bed and Biscuit the place is air conditioned and heated for perfect climate control. Each dog has a place to go outside through a doggy door and is able to escape the heat by coming inside in the air condition (or escape the cold and come into the heat). Bed and Biscuit cares about the animals. They are never boarded together (unless they are from the same household), they're on the expensive side from other kennels in the area. But it's WORTH it. 100% WORTH IT! I wouldn't board my baby anywhere else! He was content there. I will be using Bed and Biscuit for all my boarding needs. Austin enjoyed his time there. read more

They took care if my mother's dog fine. But the lady me, my girlfriend and mother interacted with has a terrible attitude problem. She blatantly gave us all attitudes for absolutely no reason. Made us very uncomfortable and awkward. Everything I said of told her she would attack me on and argue with me. We have used other dog boarding facilities in the past and they have always been a good experience. We decided to go to NJ for New Years Eve and so we called the normal place we use but unfortunately they were fully booked. We called Bed and Biscuit and we were happy to hear they had availability and made a reservation for our dog. The following day Bed and Biscuit left a voice mail advising me that they needed my credit card information so they can charge me their fee, this was on Thursday, December 29th. As soon as I heard the message I immediately called them back and countless times put on hold then someone from Bed and Biscuit would take me off hold and disconnect the call. I made countless attempts to call back, each time I would be placed on hold for more than 20 minutes then hung up on. This happened all day Thursday. I began to try to reach them again on Friday and the same thing happened all over again. Normally I would not have continued to try to reach a company that gives such poor customer service but I had already booked non-refundable fees to the hotel and restaurant we were going to in NJ so I kept trying to reach Bed and Biscuit. Finally around 1:30 on Friday I was able to talk to a representative of this company and she began to tell me that since I did not call them back they booked the pen that was reserved for our dog. Needless to say I was not happy and I told the person that first we were not notified of the need for payment prior to Penelope's stay during our initial phone conversation and also explained that as soon as we were notified I immediately tried calling them back. After several minutes of this phone call the girl advised me that they have a room and she charged my credit card 76.00. I was told the fee was $36.00 per night and since they were closed on Sunday the 1st I could not pick up my dog till Monday the 2nd so they charged my card for 2 nights. Saturday about 10:00AM I began calling Bed and Biscuit again. All over again my countless phone calls would be put on hold. This time I decided to call from my cell phone and home phone thinking I would have a better chance to connect with someone from Bed and Biscuit. Around 12:30 I was finally able to talk to someone and then I was told that my dog had to be there no later than 11:00am and since it was now 12:30 they cannot board my dog and the $76.00 they charged my credit card was non refundable!!!! After arguing with the person they told me if I can get my dog to them within 15 minutes they will allow me drop off my dog. Fortunately I was able to get there within the 15 minute period they aloud. On Monday the 2nd I went to pick up my dog and I was told I have an outstanding balance of $75.00. I explained to the person that I had already paid the bill in full and pulled up the payment verification on my phone to show the person. I was then told that the $76.00 they charged my credit card was just a down payment and that I owed an additional $75.00. I reminded them of the fee I was disclosed was $36.00 per day and that Penelope was there just for 2 days and asked how does that equate to $151.00? She began to tell me of the "extra" fees they have which included insurance for the dog (optional at other facilities) grooming (optional at other facilities) and tax. None of these fees was disclosed to me. Since they did not disclose the fees to me I asked to speak to the owner. A phone call was made to Joe the owner and he waived $55 for grooming. I had to pay $14 more dollars before the would give me my dog back. In total I paid $90, took Penelope home and will NEVER utilize the facility again. Worst customer service EVER! read more

Love this place. Left my dog in their care twice. They have a decent sized indoor kennel that also opens up to a dog run outside. They post pictures of the dogs playing outside daily on Facebook so you can see your dog while you're away. The facility isn't the fanciest but the staff their are phenomenal and really care about the animals. I trust that my dog is well cared for when I am away. read more

If the way my wife was treated by their front desk woman is any indication I can only imagine how the rest of this place operates. My wife brought our puppy in who was matted to get a quote and to find out if she could avoid being shaved. As soon as my wife walked in the lady at the front desk said "what are you doing here" very nasty. My wife explained why she was there and she told my wife to look at your dog and how could you let her get like that. My wife explained to her that she had just gotten spayed and had had a cone on her head for the past 2 weeks. She than again very nasty told my wife that you are going to need to spend a lot of money to avoid shaving her. My wife said forget it and left. Two separate groups of people were bringing their dogs in when my wife asked them if this was there first time coming here. They said yes and my wife warned them and told them what happened.The front desk woman came bursting outside and said if she didn't leave she was going to call the police. If informed the owner of this deplorable owner who checked with the worker to get her side of the story. The owner responded to me with a "Can we just chalk it up to a bad day" and a half hearted apology but nothing to rectify it or make me want to visit this place again. As a small consolation both groups of people that my wife warned went back to their cars and left so at least they lost 3 including us as potential customers. read more

Used this kennel six years ago for Lola. Kennel was great and very very attentive to her. Tried them this past weekend for my two dogs, Jackson and Lola together for one night. Bill came to $80! Then the bad news was that they chewed one of the leashes. I said Jackson has done that in the past when he was tied up to chew a bone. The girls said he was able to get the bag they have hanging outside their kennel and he chewed that up also. When I got home, I was shocked to find that not only was his leash chewed apart in three places, but his brand new collar with two tags on it was chewed apart and so was their slip collar, and he chewed his metal tag so bad that you could not read his phone number and address. So now I have to replace a leash, two collars and a tag. I asked how in the world would he be able to get these, and the owner said they hang everything outside their kennel, along with medicines or treats. I am sure Jackson either smelled his treats and tried to get them, or he was very very stressed and that is why he chewed everything up. Where were the people in charge. This is a small kennel, so why did no one see this? The owner said there is nothing he would do, because my dog chewed it up and he has to replace the bag! So one night in the kennel is costing me over $140! Never never again would I put my dogs there. read more

i've been going to this kennel for about 12 years. new owner now.....very very very dissappointed. i never ever picked my dog up in the condition i found her in last week. i felt she had been completely neglected. i use this kennel every 6 months and drop alot of money there. NOT ANY MORE!!!!!!!! i've also highly recommended this place to ALOT of family and friends, again NOT ANY MORE!!!!!! what's more after calling the next day to voice my dissappointment to joe, he told me he'd call me back the next day after speaking with his crew.....never called back.. not a good way to run a business that had been run very well and very successfully. i wouldn't suggest this place to my worst enemy now.
