Brightly lit and colorfully arranged it is an immediately engaging place where you can easily see all the items. They have a little bit of everything from colorful artsy pieces to more traditional styles and all at very reasonable prices for the high quality that you're buying. The ladies are amazing. They are friendly, outgoing, and extremely perspective. While we would talk about the ongoing plays I would suddenly find myself trying on a necklace that I thought I was slyly looking at all because they noticed my interest. They were never pushy, but instead just so conversational that it was easy to get lost in the moment. I ended up buying two necklaces that are regularly complimented and noticed by people. My mother bought two bracelets that she loves. Both were fantastic purchases and ones that I am very pleased with.

Even if you are only seeing a play at the Avon Theatre and not at…read morethe Stratford Festival Theatre, I'd still suggest making a stop at the Stratford Festival shop beforehand. The surrounding area is very scenic, especially during Fall. The shop generally doesn't sell a ton of merchandise related to specific plays and is more focused on Shakespeare merchandise. They sold Shakespeare posters, books with Shakespearean insults, Shakespeare finger puppets and coffee mugs and t-shirts with your favorite Shakespeare play quotes. They also have an area that sells a ton of books and they have some DVDs and cd soundtracks of plays and musicals as well. I bought a Shakespeare coffee mug here but t-shirts and other merchandise for Rocky Horror Picture Show and Little Shop of Horrors was only available at the Avon theatre gift shop which was open before and after the show. Stratford Festival Shop is only open until 5:30 pm each day except for Sunday's when they are open until 4 pm and they are closed on Mondays. Very fun shop! I'd definitely recommend checking it out.

Upon taking the One of A Kind Keepsake which was a Christmas ball containing bits of fabric from the costumes in Little Women, we discovered a small crack in the glass ball. I immediately called the theatre and left a message, saying that I wanted the flawed ball replaced. I phoned the next day, Monday and left another similar message. And on Tuesday. And on Wednesday. About four thirty in the afternoon, a sore representative called. I again explained what had happened. She said that the costume material was used up. I offered to come to Stratford (I live 45 minutes away in Ayr) to give them the material for another ball. She said that they had no more balls. I asked what she could do for me. She suggested that I go to Michaels to get a ball. I was taken aback. There was no offer to reimburse me for the ball or pay for a ball at Michaels. It's a small metaphysical gift shop selling tarot cards, books on spells and witchcraft, blessed herbal candles with healing properties, and crystals and gemstones all labeled with their unique purposes. It reminds me a lot of the store Earth Lore in the Metro-Detroit area. The gemstones are always fun to look through and each stone has a card that tells what it helps to enrich or attract. They also have bags with multiple stones that work together and there are gemstone bags for love, protection, grief, health and more. The bags which come with around five stones are $10 Canadian. There is also artwork and jewelry for sale. The owner/shopkeep was very nice and helpful. I'm sure I will be back during my next trip to Stratford.

Full of unique items that are perfect for gifting…read more There's so many different options, from funny lapel pins & mugs to tasteful framed prints & incredibly-good smelling candles. It's a smaller shop, but everything is kept really organized and neat (it's even got "themed" areas, so things are placed similarly for whatever your taste). The prices are higher than other gift-type shops, but the products are so unique and well-made, it's worth the extra few dollars. I browsed around on my own, but the woman working made sure to be available if I needed any help- and I'm sure she would be awesome at helping narrow down what you're looking for if you aren't quite sure.
