The store is so cute, and quaint inside with antique chandelier and vintage theatre costumes. They have interesting unique used and new books. Lots of books on Shakespeare and on art and music. They have lots of hard cover coffee table books perfect for gifts. My friend bought a book on a famous Canadian pianist and composer as a gift. The back of the store has all kinds of costumes, jewelry, and vintage hats which is a blast to look through. For a cost, you can dress up in the costumes and have your photo taken and printed. Such a charming unique shop! I'll definitely stop in again, the next time I'm in town.

At first glance the store feels fairly typical with glass cases and carefully arranged pieces, white walls, and soothing music playing. Upon inspection it became clear there was a uniqueness to this store as the necklaces and bracelets had a classic look, often minimalistic in the best of ways. All except Ayala Bar's necklaces which threw simplicity out the window reveling in whimsy and color, also in the best of ways. They were captivating necklaces, the type that commands a room. I seek colorful pieces so was a little surprised to see not much else in terms of any stones, but quite a bit of silver and gold. Each piece was beautiful and quite lovely. There was one lady working here when we entered and we were welcomed warmly. She graciously gave us space to look over everything and then helped us when asked. While she talked very little, I was grateful for her time and assistance. I thought the store was great!

The building itself is an original flat-iron style building, which looks like it could easily play a starring role in any Hallmark movie. The owners have done a great job restoring it. This is a must-go for anyone visiting the Goderich area with children. They have a large clothing section with new and nearly-new items. I came here with a friend who was shopping for toddler clothes and she found some amazing pieces at great prices. They also have a maternity section, and lots of toys, books and unique gift ideas. It's a small metaphysical gift shop selling tarot cards, books on spells and witchcraft, blessed herbal candles with healing properties, and crystals and gemstones all labeled with their unique purposes. It reminds me a lot of the store Earth Lore in the Metro-Detroit area. The gemstones are always fun to look through and each stone has a card that tells what it helps to enrich or attract. They also have bags with multiple stones that work together and there are gemstone bags for love, protection, grief, health and more. The bags which come with around five stones are $10 Canadian. There is also artwork and jewelry for sale. The owner/shopkeep was very nice and helpful. I'm sure I will be back during my next trip to Stratford.

Stratford Festival Shop is great! Even if you are only seeing a play at the Avon Theatre and not at…read morethe Stratford Festival Theatre, I'd still suggest making a stop at the Stratford Festival shop beforehand. The surrounding area is very scenic, especially during Fall. The shop generally doesn't sell a ton of merchandise related to specific plays and is more focused on Shakespeare merchandise. They sold Shakespeare posters, books with Shakespearean insults, Shakespeare finger puppets and coffee mugs and t-shirts with your favorite Shakespeare play quotes. They also have an area that sells a ton of books and they have some DVDs and cd soundtracks of plays and musicals as well. I bought a Shakespeare coffee mug here but t-shirts and other merchandise for Rocky Horror Picture Show and Little Shop of Horrors was only available at the Avon theatre gift shop which was open before and after the show. Stratford Festival Shop is only open until 5:30 pm each day except for Sunday's when they are open until 4 pm and they are closed on Mondays. Very fun shop! I'd definitely recommend checking it out.
