I believe the Center of Physiological Development needs to improve their listening skills and not belittling their clients to force them to do whatever they advise you should do or how you should be in their own personal preference. When I attended this facility it was going pretty good until one of my counselors asked me a question of what happen in a situation that occurred, where my counselor had to dramatize the whole situation to the point no one would leave me alone, due to being upset with my teenage daughter. She was making a fuss over me doing paper work that was of importance. I also had to lay out my shoes to have them ready to put in the new shoe bag because the other broke. My daughter and I shared a room but she made the whole situation into a big deal. Which caused my mother to step in and support my daughter reinforcing and encouraging her disrespectful attitude, which it should not be the right decision to do, stating the fact I am my daughters mother and I don't agree my mother wants to brainwash my kids to think I'm not their mom. I am and that is that. I've done what my mother and aunt told me to do to prove myself worthy but whatever I did wasn't good enough in their minds. However, back to the situation which occurred. I held my ears as I was sitting at the desk as they both made a big deal over me doing my work. I said," I'm going to call my counselor to help solve this dispute" but my mother had him on speed dial and made me look like the one causing problems when I was just minding my own business. It was ridiculous how they all where. I had asked "counselor " shouldn't they be a little more empathetic and sympathetic? He, said "No they do not." I just had carpel tunnel surgery and I'm disabled, but no one should blame me for such petty things, that's not worth fighting over. My counselor asked me if I was still taking my medications and I told him yes I do, I'm fine its just my mother who is seventy-one years old at that time went into a raging fit in her recliner waving her hands in the air, while my teenage daughter was sitting quietly watching in her own words she confessed to me, "Mind Control Techniques" she has been practicing on in order to get her way. My counselor did not tell my mother to calm down and speak to each other as grown adults. To my amazement after I walked away from them not hearing me out, I went to my room and cried. It was upsetting because all I want is my mother to support me as being my two children's mother, but yet she says behind closed doors I'm not their mother and she is! I told my mother calmly my children was a God given right and if I chose her to have guardianship she would have to work with me and not against me. My experience with my counselor was a conflict of interest due to me knowing stuff about him as well. Anyways, the moral of the story is my mom loves calling the cops on me for no good reason when I'm either sick and can't move or try to do work for school or as I said before my credit report disputes. As I cried in my room my counselor said he called the police because I simply just walked away from the drama and I'm tired of the blame game. People should be accountable for their own actions and the counselor should be understanding and address which persons point of view and find a solution to this issue instead calling cops because they are way out of line. Then fast forward to Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. central standard time. I arrived on time just like I always do, but that day my counselor brought it up and asked me a question, "What do you think happened that day?" I told him the truth about what happened, I was trying do my work on all three major credit companies disputes and my shoe bag broke. I was going to put all my shoes up. However, my daughter came home and started yelling at me due to the fact it was a lot for me to do in such little time but she got home early from school and just went berserk on me and mom stated yelling at me too. My counselor looked at me and said, "that's not what happened" I asked him, " Do you think I'm lien?" Oh.... and that was it he got up and walked outside the threshold of his office door and told me to leave! I said, " What are you talking about? This isn't like you, whats wrong?" All of a sudden he refused to service me any longer. I asked for the manager to give me a new counselor, so they handed me out a form and they asked what counselor would I like to see? I didn't know any other of the staffs names so I wrote down, " One who believes in Jesus Christ" and due to the phenomenal experiences I received. Unforgettably they kicked me out due to my religion and had no interest in assigning me another counselor. I do believe under law it states in the Opha Act that their guide lines should welcome any one and not be judged or scorned for their own beliefs. Plus my counselor should of never been permitted to become a counselor due to conflict of interest. read more
