Alex was very responsive throughout the planning and execution process, and even oversaw the entire installation. His crew were dedicated and skilled workers who were very kind. Scope of the project included covering an existing concrete slab. Alex made sure to add 3-4 inch rebar dowels every 24 inches and wire mesh to give the new layer something finer to hold on to, in addition to the binding agent for a more firm fusion. We also paid extra for the 3,500 PSI rated concrete given the Texas heat. Further, he extended the sides of our driveway, replacing the paver stone and gravel with level concrete. This also included fixing part of the walkway that had been pushed up by Live Oak roots, which was a tripping hazard, and now forming a smooth transition. Alex was also great when it came to pricing. He was very transparent, and me not being a concrete guy, asked a good friend who's been a general contractor for 30+ years to review the proposal and methods, and follow the work, all of which he said was done expertly. We reached out to Enrique after fighting with a previous concrete company which poured a patio that was unusable to us for the intended purpose of holding a hot tub and pergola. Although we ultimately had to remove the prior work at extra cost, this put us in a great position to see how impressive Enrique was with his demeanor and work ethic. He answered all of our exhaustively once-bitten-twice-shy questions patiently and spent as much time as we needed to hash out patio designs and make a decision moving forward. When the work day came around, Enrique himself was on-site the entire time overseeing everything and delivered exactly what we agreed upon. Since he was removing the old patio and pouring a new one he gave us a break on the price of demo / removal which we very much appreciated and the end result is a night and day difference. The patio correctly slopes away from the house then has a near-flat section for the hot tub before sloping again for water flow. The difference is just a few degrees and unnoticeable just looking at it but the drainage is excellent and the hot tub water is near level. Enrique also added an extra layer of rebar underneath where we had the hot tub planned. Now that we've been using the patio for a few months there's been no settling or cracking.
