Finally, on the fifth day, the Gods of Gelato bestowed their graciousness upon me and showed me the not only the most delicious, but ironically also the cheapest gelato I've had during my entire five day search. For a mere 3.50, my L size cup was stuffed with ice cream in such a generous huge pile that my ice cream towered above the rim just like the lovely Mt.Cervino watching over this entire village. The gelato had the taste and consistency of gods' ambrosia, just like they make them at their best in Italy. It was so sumptuously creamy and thick that even in the extreme summer heat, you could take all the time you wanted admiring the pile of goodness in front of you, and not a bit of it would melt away. My pistachio flavor perfectly captured the essence of fresh yummy pistachios, and the cream flavor was just pure creamy heaven, not too sweet, but melting your taste buds away with its velvety smoothness. My sampling partner shared the burst of joy I experienced over this gelato. We wish we could come back again. For summer days, this place has a spacious outdoor seating where you can have your own little fangirl moment over this ice cream like we did.

If you really want to eat here, be sure to come at a non peak time or make a reservation. The decor is really cute inside and it's a warm and cozy vibe. I tried their spinach, egg and cheese crepe, which was delicious and very filling! It's crisper and saltier than other savory crepes I've had in the past, but I highly recommend. They have a ton of options and an English menu as well. I also ordered a hot chocolate based on another Yelp review's recommendation, but I didn't like it. I don't recommend ordering it because it is essentially just a package of powered hot chocolate and steamed milk. This creperie is just off of Annecy's old town center. The interior of the restaurant is quintessentially French with just a few tables and a charming rustic French stone cottage vibe that goes right along with the entire Annecy experience. The Sourise (ham, emmenthal, onion, egg) was absolutely perfect. Paired of course with un cafe (coffee), it made for the perfect breakfast followed by the sweet crepe dusted with fine sugar. If you're looking for a tourist spot, this isn't it. It's for the locals, and French is the only language spoken here. Which is exactly why it's worth the effort. The owner was kind and patient with our lack of fluency and sometimes poor pronunciation. After you leave this charming creperie, take a walk around stunning Lake Annecy and the old town center.
