Everything looks so good! We chose the same shingles for the house that we had put on the carriage house/garage, and although it's hard to see up top, they do look amazing. And the drainage around the house is SO MUCH BETTER. At the time the crew was out, we were having other repairs inside the house, and everyone did the trades shuffle with grace and humor. You haven't seen a crew work like these guys did until you realize they roofed a 7,200 sq ft historic house in just 3 days--including the flat roof rebuilds. So much attention and care was paid to the fabric of the home, and each flat roof got its own plan and treatment. They did our carriage house in early spring 2026, and the same attention to detail means we now own two very spiffy historic structures. Call Buckeye, you can't go wrong.

He then went on to ask a myriad of questions unrelated to our bathroom project, in addition to again asking if my husband could join us. I told him he was busy and could not join us and that I was the point person for this project. He asked a third time if my husband could join us, citing that I might not be able to remember all the information I was given. I told him if he was not going to provide a consultation/estimate for me, the project owner, unless a man was with me then we can cancel. I led him out of the house 30 seconds later.

NOTE: ALL OF THE FOLLOWING IS DOCUMENTED through text…read moremessages, phone calls, photographs, home inspections, signed contracts, and additional records. Recent reviews accurately reflect the fraudulent conduct of CPR. The company, owned and operated by Quincy Barrett (CEO) and Brandy Barrett (CFO), misrepresents services and caused us and other clients to lose thousands of dollars. CPR engages in repeated deception, creating a pattern of inconsistent and false statements. Communication is routinely delayed or nonexistent. Quincy Barrett goes silent for days and weeks at a time when updates are requested regarding the contracted project. Signed contracts are breached, and "lifetime warranties" become void when Quincy Barrett fails to meet contractual obligations. Quincy leaves before projects are completed or even begun. The project that was said would take two weeks to be completed did not even begin until 5 months later. The funniest yet is that the project remains unfinished one year and one day after the contract was signed on 12/12/24. CPR provides proof of current insurance coverage and then knowingly cancels the policy prior to the start of the project. When asked about insurance coverage for multiple property damages and a homeowner's bodily injury caused by materials left in the yard, CPR provided evasive responses and no resolution. The homeowner is instructed to cover the damages out of pocket with the promise of reimbursement, RIGHT... Documented damages include the central AC unit, windows and screens, security cameras, all landscape lighting, and most of the landscaping. Quincy Barrett pressures homeowners to authorize loan disbursements using false statements. When contacted by the loan company, he falsely stated that only one piece of siding remained to be installed for completion. CPR abandons a gutter, roofing, and siding project in an unfinished and unsafe condition, compromising the integrity of the home. The most documented deficiencies include gutters installed incorrectly, large sections of siding not installed, siding was installed on half of the porch ceiling instead of soffit, missing water barriers on exposed areas, no insulation in open sections of the home, an unfinished roof, multiple electrical outlets left exposed to the elements, and open gaps in the siding that have allowed vermin enter a previously sealed home now. Due to Quincy Barrett's failure to properly oversee the project in his role as project manager, custom window framing was not installed and may not have even been ordered. Security camera footage showed Quincy Barrett personally managing approximately one hour of the exterior project, which consisted primarily of walking the property and unloading supplies. A refund for the nonexistent custom window framing was eventually issued. However, CPR initially failed to provide the refund due to insufficient funds from the company account. Quincy Barrett claims the account was impacted by fraud. The refund was ultimately issued only after a cashier's check was demanded. Following the submission of the first review, and only review until today, 12/13/25, a 2:00 AM text message was received containing a screenshot of the review and a threatening message. The nature of the threat, whether physical or legal, is unclear. A request for clarification received no response. Responses provided by CPR now will consistently satisfy their claims, regardless of factual documentation. The conduct of Quincy and Brandy Barrett demonstrates a pattern of misrepresentation, nonperformance, and intimidation.

At first, I was impressed with Roof Smart because they were prompt in providing an estimate and willing to a job that another company refused to do unless we wanted to replace all of our gutters. The first frustration was an attempt to repair a seamless gutter with a two-piece gutter, but for the same price. They did, however agree to install a seamless gutter, so I was still happy to work with the company. After over a week of no information I reached out to find out when the job would get started and was told, "by the end of the week." When Friday evening came and the work wasn't started and I wasn't informed by the company, I reached out to find out if the plan was to work on a Saturday or if it would be pushed back to the next week. I was informed that the repair would be done on Saturday, which was inconvenient as we had plans on Saturday, but wanted the gutter hanging from the house to be fixed. Saturday was another no call, no show and while I tried to wait patiently, I had to reach out the following Wednesday reminding them that not only was the gutter unsightly, but it seemed dangerous. I was told the gutter would arrive from the manufacturer by Thursday and that the repair would be done that Friday. When I reached out Friday morning to find out what time the work would be done (losing confidence in their ability to communicate), I was informed that Roof Smart received the wrong part and that the new part would arrive the following Tuesday for installation, but that the repair would begin on Saturday to remove the dangerous gutter. I asked about a time for Saturday and was told 3:00, again inconvenient on a Saturday. I rushed to get home on Saturday at 3:00 so I could be there for the repair and once again, no call no show. After 40 minutes of waiting I reached out to Roof Smart and was simply told they were reaching out to the installer. After waiting an hour and a half with no response, I communicated that I was done waiting as it was 4:30 and we had other things to do. I anticipated a call or worker to show up by Tuesday as that was what I was told. Tuesday came and once again there was a no call no show so I sent a message asking if they were planning to do the job. Roof Smart called me and apologized stating that they had to fire the installer and would need to hire another and that I could wait another week or two for that. While I appreciate the difficulty of hiring a subcontractor who doesn't show up, the customer should not have to initiate all of the communication. This company strung us along for a month and left us with a dangerous gutter hanging from the house and we are now at the back of the line for other estimates that we received, which could be another 3-4 weeks. {EDIT} *Roof Smart's apology came with a $50 gift card. Classy move and worth upgrading from 1-star to 3-stars.
