Most places in London cost around 25GBP or more for an afternoon tea. The Mulberry House, probably because it's not in London, was much more reasonable. Having afternoon tea here is definitely an experience. It was very relaxing to drink endless cups of tea, chat, and have a light bite. The dinning room is beautiful with lush high back chairs. The waitstaff are friendly and accommodating and the atmosphere is peaceful. In fact, there was quite a large group in the dinning room, but the atmosphere almost demands quiet and even the children complied. I definitely recommend having tea here as it reacts the earlier sentiments of a slower paced life with afternoon tea--most likely, and definitely in our case, followed by afternoon naps.

The food was amazing and because the evening was going so well, we decided to get a room for the night which we retired too. the beds were okay, the room was furnished to a minimum for the money that we spent. it was very dated and very basic for the price, to be awoken on a Sunday morning at 9:40 am by someone with a hammer breaking glass in an adjacent room , it transpired during the evening a window had been broken and maintenance felt the need to change it at this time because it was an ' emergency'. we promptly went to the reception to file a complaint because we thought it was unnecessary and inconsiderate to all the guests who paid to stay at this property, to be woken in such a abrupt and unnecessary fashion, when it could of just been done once everyone had check out. so going back to out complaint at the reception, we tried to make this point and get them to note that incidences such as this needs to be dealt with in an appropriate manner, the reception staff (greg) became very abrupt, rude and arrogant and told us we HAD to leave. I am applauded at the manner in which our complaint was dealt with (disgusting)

Sometimes they do have the sound a little too loud for the venue, but this is only on the more rock/metal style live performances, such as Thriller, and other such shows. If you do have a balcony seat though, beware of the steep overhang, and the low hand-rails, as a 6'2" Epileptic, I could easily fall over these, (I've had further drops though, heh), and I feel that as far as safety is concerned, (not just for me, but also for others, such as blind people such as my Mother), that these hand-rails should be raised more. In short, a great place to go for a reasonably priced show, but don't get a balcony seat if you've had a few to drink, lol.

I have been lucky enough to see the touring production of Fame and also The Woman in Black (which was terrifying!) here. The prices are also much less expensive than going to the West End and the theatre is smaller and more intimate - you definitely get a better view of the stage. The sweets are just as pricy though!

Myself and my fiance had hopes of using her service for our wedding but honestly it was one of the biggest mistakes of our life as she was dishonest throughout the whole procedure, didn't pick up any of our calls so that we could work together and then to top it off put the blame on us instead of her disorganised "company". This "company" that is run by 1 person in a tiny and dirty room is not worth any one's time. So If I could put my experience into one word it would be DISAPPOINTING.
