I called ahead for a group of 13. They did have our table ready, but I had to go up and ask for utensils from the hostess after being there and already having our biscuits/butter/jam on the table. Over 50 minutes later, they still haven't brought my sister's food and we are out of pot pie. She ordered a salad and a diabetic her sugar was dropping so I said bring her salad please! Oh but what do you want to order? Bring her lunch please, I will get something somewhere else! Another 10 minutes go by...if the first server hadn't brought my sister biscuits or cornbread (she isn't supposed to have) it would have been a entire different situation. The chicken and dumplins for $12 comes with dumplins. The only chichen is buried beneath a large pile of wet flour. Two small pieces about the size of the end of my thumb. No flavor. I had never tried this dish but I used to hear compliment Cracker Barrell's chicken and dumplins. I complained to the waitress. She assured me that she had beought me the chicken and dumplins and not just dumplins. Then she came back with a cup and two tiny pieces of chicken. They were out of meatloaf and soup. They avoid selling anything with meat in it but expect people to pay their prices. I recommend that they go ahead and shut this place down and stop ripping off the customers. read more

We were passing through and decided to stop for late lunch/early dinner. Arrived at 1:47 and was seated immediately. We went ahead and placed our order for drinks and meals (two Mama's breakfast and a meatloaf dinner. It took almost an hour for the food to arrive at our table and the meatloaf meal was lukewarm at best and dry. I tried to eat it but just couldn't stomach it. We complained to the waitress and she was kind enough to alert the manager, who kindly removed it from our ticket and offered to replace it. Unfortunately the thrill was gone. This is a glowing review for our server, Michael H: I came here with my family (I think it was a group of at least 15) during a family reunion trip. Our server, Michael H, was so incredibly patient with taking everyone's orders even though some of the kids with us were being a bit wild. Michael was the best example of Southern hospitality that I saw on my entire trip. We even had to split the bill, which I felt awful about, but Michael told us it was no issue at all and came back with the separate checks so quickly and without a hint of resentment for what difficult customers we must have been. I was in the area for a week on business. I ordered twice from this restaurant. There were problems both times with the curbside staff. I had no issues with the meal. Ordered curbside both days, needless to say I had to get out of my vehicle both days and go inside for my order because no one ever came out. First time, order was sitting on the rack waiting. Second encounter, went inside for order and still had to wait 20 minutes. I'm assuming it was a staffing issue. Please ask the younger front counter staff to be a bit more pleasant. And professional. Go to grab a bite to eat right around 7pm last night with pushing 20 percent capacity of customers. Pretty laid back night overall as far as occupancy. Had to wait 3 minutes for the hostess to show up to seat us. Ask to order cheese bites but was told they do not offer marinara sauce to go with them only ranch. So skipped an appetizer and go to order country fried steak and was told it would be at least 30 minutes until they would have mashed potatoes or macaroni. Look at the rest of the menu and everything I would have cared to eat either came standard with mashed potatoes or would be the most preferred side. You should not have to wait 30 minutes until your order can be started at a place that is known for serving many people very quickly. Has been 5 plus years since I had been here with another bad incident. May not ever come back. Simply took my ticket and paid for our drinks which we had only took a sip out. My husband and I came to eat dinner. Again, the food was not what we expected. The syrup was Water, the steammed Brocoli was Cold, the steak we ordered was so hard I could not eat it and I gave it to my husband. By the time I had finished eating the cabbage, the only real thing that was with eating they brought the ticket out and we could not order desert. The waiters were all over the place and rude. One of the staff even told the table next to us that we did nothing but complain. We still have to pay for our food even though it was awful. The worst customer service experience. I placed an order online and after taking 10 minutes longer than the pick up time to get my order I had items missing. I asked for a refund since they did not have the items I wanted and the manager stated they could not refund my card, even though I just paid for it, that he could only give me gift card.
