Old country decor. Bring back good old memories. First to come here was with my mommy & daddy whenever I was a lil girl. They serve breakfast, lunch, & dinner. Food is pretty good. American classics. Then I would come here more often with my girl friends back in high school days. Such a unique restaurant. I'm kinda bummed that there's not one here in CA. So I just go to Cracker Barrel at least once everytime I go visit MS. They also have a store connected to the restaurant where they sell alot of cool little knick-knacks and old fashioned sweet stuff. Plus, outside they have lots of rocking chairs! It's relaxing to just rock in 'em before or after the meal. I can't wait to visit again whenever I'm down south. :) read more

I placed an order online. Arrived at the time specified in my order to pick it up. The girl at the register called the kitchen to check on the order. I assumed the order was coming. 15 minutes later I asked where the order was. She said they had LOST the order so she had to resend it to the kitchen so they were preparing it. Keep on waiting. Asked again about my order after standing there for 35 minutes (one hour after placing the order online). They were working on it 45 minutes later Still no food. I asked again and was told my order had been prepared but "the manager had order that the food be taken to someone who was eating at the restaurant so they had to remake it" I asked for my money back and the manager came out and assured me the food was being bagged. Took another 10 minutes. I filled a complaint online. My order totaled $50. I was given a "free dessert" for my troubles. Keep it. I won't be spending another dime there read more

On December 10th At 10:08 PM we sat down 10:19 before people stoped cleaning up all the empty seats and asked to take our order 10:27 before she came back after we heard her fussing in the back that she had to wait on us 10:39 drinks needed refills and server walked right next to my table to blow out the light but never asked 10:50 waiter bringing food out drops food everywhere. Obviously she couldn't help that part but She sends another waitress out to tell us. That waitress asks if we want them to put a rush on it and redo the order. With only two other tables in there I wondered why they didn't put a rush on it before. That would have allocated them to leave early which what they wanted. What makes it worse is that the manager walked around the whole time. No apologies, no reprimands to employees for not waiting on us or the waitress fussing loud enough for us to hear. read more

My husband and I split the country boy breakfast platter. The sirloin, although small, was pretty tasty. I was pleasantly surprised at the slightly crunchy outside and creamy beefy inside. The rest of the platter was decent for the price. We spent 10.37 on the entire meal. My complaint was the utensils they gave us. Filthy! The steak knife looked as if it had built up grease and meat particles all over the blade. Luckily, we had our camper and I was able to get CLEAN cutlery. What a disaster. 7 pm on a Tuesday and 1/2 the waitstaff working. Half of this locations tables were empty as people were lined up waiting for a table. Absolutely nuts. Terrible... Been there hundreds of times, I'm local of course. It's Been good most every time I've went there, until Recently. We went there and the service was the worse I've EVER seen ANYWHERE... Waitress was very rude, she took our order and we waited 40 mins and she brought us our ticket (without bringing us our food at all like she forgot we where there) I had to remind her we never got our food. I've ate at this Cracker Barrel multiple times. Nothing to rave about, typical food, always mediocre- terrible service. However this last time was the worst. It just was one thing after another. The first thing to happen I put in my order for meat loaf, by the time everybody's order was done and ready to come to the table the manager decided to tell me that meat loaf was going to take 30 minutes to make another batch since they ran out, and I should order something else. Like it was an inconvenience for him to have me wait till it was made (I've been a server my entire life so I know he was trying to flip a table although it was absolutely dead, but I've never seen somebody so pushy to rush a table out at 6-7pm with nobody in the establishment) Oh well, I ordered a burger, and a side of hashbrown casserole cause you can't go wrong with that right? Wrong. I took one bite into my hashbrown casserole, and felt a giant crunch, and felt my gum start to bleed, and my tooth chip. I immediately spit it out and realized it was a small, pointed piece of metal. My server brought it to the managers attention who then took the piece of metal, rolled it around his hand, said he was sorry, didn't know what it was, and asked if I wanted to have my hashbrown casserole remade. Umm. That's it? No concern? He acted like this was a normal experience, or didn't phase him at all. Just all around a terrible dinner experience. read more

Do not come here in the evening. If you do, expect to get seated by someone who looks angry at the world and won't even look at you or speak to you after asking how many are in your party. They also shouldn't say they serve breakfast all the time when it takes 30 minutes or more to get your food. I love this Cracker Barrel! The staff is wonderful, and any issue with the food they have no problem fixing it and fixing it while being polite and nice about it! My only complaint has nothing to do with the food or service, people this is a family restaurant. They hand out menus that children color on, if you don't like kids, don't come here! There are plenty of adult restaurants in the area, you don't have to come to a family restaurant and glare at every child surrounding you. Get a life. read more

OMG was it TERRIBLE. I ordered the chicken livers and they were so ridiculously overcooked that they were like sawdust and the coating was rock hard. It was truly the worst meal I have ever had at CB who usually rates about a 3 plus based on breakfast, but their dinners are just not up to par. Went out with my 2 kids, my wife and her father. There was about 8 employees working the floor and about 6 tables of customers. We were asked to wait about 5 min so they could catch up on the orders. Should have noted that as the first red flag. We waited and when they sat us we had to wait about another 10 min before the server came to the table. Should have taken that as red flag 2. We ordered out drinks and food and about another 10 to 15 min go by and our drinks come out. Now we ordered 2 kids chocolate milks and 2 kid waters and they bring out the adult cups for the waters for the kids. Red flag 3, they then brought out the milk with about 2 inches from being full and when asked about it they said that's how they want us to do it. It has always been full until tonight. My wife and I ordered the country fried stake with white gravy, she got broccoli and mashed potatoes with white gravy and I got 2 sides of fries. My father in-law got the maple bacon chicken with green beans and mashed potatoes. We waited about 30 min for the food and the mashed potatoes on both plates were old and dry, the green beans were room temp the 2 chicken breasts were The size of 2 silver dollars, the fries were old and warm and they ran out of white gravy. I under stand you run out of stuff but come back and say something cause we would have ordered something else. The kids ate their food because they were hungry and love Mac and cheese, but the portions were a side and not a kids meal size. We ended up sending all the adult food back and when we said something to the manager the look of I don't care was unreal. read more

Worst experience ever! The food was horrible. I had clearly ordered the Old Timer's Breakfast and when I received my food they had forgotten the biscuits and hash brown casserole. I found the manager and asked him if this looked like the Old Timer's Breakfast and in his exact words he said, "Yes but it doesn't look too great." He also told me that the Old Timer's Breakfast didn't come with hash brown casserole when I had the menu pulled up on my phone looking right at it. The waitresses kept coming over to "make sure everything is fine" despite our complaints. Then the manager comes over just to say "is it better now?" Very typical Cracker Barrel experience as far as food went, good as usual and as expected. Service, however, was rather subpar. I'm not sure if they are simply understaffed, but it took quite a while for us to even be seated, then to have our drink orders taken, and then to get our food. I will not be back to the Cracker Barrel in Brookhaven . They need new management before they loose all their loyal customers . I ordered a cheeseburger without mayonnaise and lettuce and add bacon. Burger arrived with mayonnaise and lettuce and no bacon . I just took the items off and ate because we had already waited an hour . At checkout I realized I was charged an extra dollar for the bacon that was not on my burger . I asked for the charge to be taken off for the bacon I didn't receive (1.00). The manager ( said her name was Donna) came out and accused me of lying about my burger not having bacon on it . She said she saw the order go out with bacon on it .I think this was very unprofessional and caused a scene. This was all because I wanted a dollar taken off my order because I didn't receive it . I was very nice until she said I was lying . I did tell her she was very unprofessional and rude . What manger does that over a dollar ! This is the worst Cracker Barrel in the country. They always give you the run around when trying to use gift cards. They went as far as posting sign stating gift cards not excepted at this time for over a month. Also went there Sunday and waited for 30 minutes to be seated. I have always enjoyed Cracker Barrel. It's a regular stop with the family. My favorite dish is the Grilled Spicy Catfish! Yes, if your lookin' for Southern Comfort Food, this is the place to stop. I love Cracker Barrel! But this experience ruined it for me! We walked in and waited 10 minutes just for someone to ask if they can help us. The restaurant was empty. We were seated and a few minutes later a waitress came and asked us for our drinks. She returned 20 minutes later with the drinks. We ordered our meals. She came out 10 minutes later with a plate of biscuits. She pulled out 4 crumpled paper towels from her pocket and placed them on the table. She said," I couldn't find plates so I just got napkins." We laughed because we thought she was joking, but apparently she wasn't. we ate our food and it was awful. Usually the food is very good, but this time it was gross. The grits were all dried and sticking to the plate, the grilled cheese was dripping (literally) in grease, and the bacon was hardly cooked. The restaurant started filling up. The manager passed the table, and a member of my party said "excuse me". She walked over and my father told her they shouldn't let any more people in, because they can't even handle the ones that are already here. This wasn't very nice, but it was the truth. The manager just looked at him and walked away. We were done. We got up and left and as we were exiting, a member of the staff ran into me and said "move!".
