Cracker Barrel is not a failing business because of a logo change. It's a failing business because it lacks customer service. Having to ask for everything that used to be complimentary is not good business practice. You have to beg for the biscuits, beg for refills, and beg for a waitress to come back to your table. This location is the worst when it comes to these things.

Meatloaf with pinto beans and hashbrown casserole.

We were passing through and decided to stop for late lunch/early dinner. Arrived at 1:47 and was seated immediately. We went ahead and placed our order for drinks and meals (two Mama's breakfast and a meatloaf dinner. It took almost an hour for the food to arrive at our table and the meatloaf meal was lukewarm at best and dry. I tried to eat it but just couldn't stomach it. We complained to the waitress and she was kind enough to alert the manager, who kindly removed it from our ticket and offered to replace it. Unfortunately the thrill was gone. Although the food wasn't very eventful, the service was good and our waitress was very nice and apologetic.

The guided tour does a strong job of bringing the property's past to life. Set among towering oak trees and Spanish moss, the plantation itself is visually stunning, and the home's preserved interiors give an authentic glimpse into 18th- and 19th-century Louisiana life. Rainy Day our knowledgeable and engaging tour guide, was mixing well-documented history with the plantation's well-known ghost stories in a way that feels balanced rather than over-the-top. That said, expectations matter. If you're hoping for a purely historical deep dive, some of the supernatural elements may feel a bit dramatized. On the flip side, if you're looking for a full-on haunted experience, it's more subtle than theatrical. Overall, The Myrtles Plantation tour is a worthwhile stop for anyone traveling through Louisiana. It offers a memorable mix of culture, history, and atmosphere--especially for those who appreciate a good story along with their sightseeing.

The old antebellum house, a happy home, was quiet and the perfect ambiance. We dined on grilled grouper and shrimp and grits and both meals were just right. Joseph Emory Davis, patriarchal brother to Confederate Pres Jefferson Davis, the owner of Hurricane Plantation in Warren County, Jefferson Davis made his final speech from Anchuca's front balcony, near the Vicksburg Battlefield. Brunch entrées included a small salad or fruit cup, and a dessert. We enjoyed our salads with balsamic dressing. For an entrée, I chose seafood, gumbo, and my husband, the shrimp and grits. The cheesy, creamy grits with the best I ever tasted, and my husband doesn't like shrimp, but he devoured them. We're trying both desserts, the warm peach cobbler alamode and the white chocolate bread pudding were obscene. Our meal was delicious, service, impeccable, and the setting spectacular.

The service was awesome, the place is super cute, and the food looked good! The server offered us a biscuit to start with, but we declined, since I was just ordering the Natchez beignet. I should have taken it though, because biscuits. But I guess I assumed the beignet would be beignets, with powdered sugar like in NOLA. No, this was one beignet with ice cream and some kind of sauce that was derived from angel tears with pecans on top. Holy cats, it wasn't what I was expecting but man it was delicious!! The server misunderstood us and bought two, when we just wanted one, and very graciously didn't charge us for the second; of course we gave him a good tip, as he was super polite, and really great. I would so come here for dinner or lunch when we come back to Natchez! It's a neat place, with great desserts, and awesome people. That makes me a fan!

In truth, we were heading to another place for lunch and we saw this place and we figure we stop here; especially when it was 95 outside. A good old' sweet tea was callin' our name. Ambiance - 4 Stars - when you walk in, you are greeted with a huge bar with many seats, a huge selection of bottled liquor, quaint tables and bench seating. Ambiance: Your body becomes relaxed and stress free due to old brick, warm wood, and classic but whimsical pictures frames. Instantly a sweet tea is what your body is craving for or a lovely old fashion, if you prefer an "adult" drink. I believe in the evening, live blues music serenade you as patiently eat your entree. Due to our short time in Natchez, we were not able to stay and listen to the blue music. Service: 3 Stars Our server was young and enthusiastic but was nervous. We believe he began his training with us. Very attentive however, he sometimes forget to bring certain items to our table. With a friendly smile, I reminded him on the items that we requested. My friend and I remembered our time in the food industry and was nice to assist the new generation. We were once "a green horn" ourselves. The restaurant features Cajun New Orleans style food. Food: 3.25 - 3.75 Stars We ordered two lunch dishes and one dessert. Blues Burger - 3.5 Stars: Smoke shredded rib and chicken meat, sweet BBQ sauce, red onions, and crawfish queso served on a large biscuit bun. So, the biscuit burger was good however due to the characteristic nature of a baked "biscuit bun", the bun broke apart because of the BBQ sauce and crawfish queso. Definitely need a fork with this burger. Also, there is a lot going on with the flavor profile too. Sweet, savory, creamy and slightly salty. It was good but it needs a hint of citric acid, hot sauce or vinegar to hit the spicy / tangy profile. Jonnie Mae Burger: 3.75 Stars - it is an 8 oz hand Pattie beef topped with a generous portion of fried onion rings, a few fried pickles, fresh tomato and lettuce with a layer of honey sweet mustard on a brooch bun. I asked for medium rare however the beef was cooked to medium well. The burger was tender and juicy. Though topped with fried onions and pickles, you can taste the beef which made the burger more enjoyable. Sometimes, when a burger has a lot of toppings, the ingredients overpower the beefy taste. This is not the case with this one. The toppings complimented the beef. Definitely recommend this dish! Both entrees were served with Cajun fries which were good and crispy. For dessert, we ordered one serving of beignets (3.25 stars) with our coffee. They were three beignets generously sprinkled with powered sugar. They were hot and fresh however they were slightly small. Also the beignets were more square instead of round. It was flaky, but was slightly doughy. They were enjoyable with the coffee. It was even better by dipping the Beignets into the coffee. The chicory flavor of the coffee gave a slight bitterness to the beignets. Overall, we enjoyed our lunch and the chill atmosphere of Biscuits and Blues. Looking forward and trying their other dishes. Especially when they have live music during evening time. Possibly will order a good old-fashioned drink too. We both recommend a place.

The restaurant is now getting recognized by Michelin and was recently added to their Michelin Guide. I will have to see if I can locate additional photos I have taken over the years. We have been at this point, June 2026, about five times. Every time we go the food and service is 10/10. We always start with the Baguette, Bisque and Sensation Salad. If I had to choose one dish to order it would be the Bisque. I could make a meal out of it with the Baguette. It is one of the 10 best bites of food I have ever had. It's the best thing on the menu in my opinion and luckily it's a main stay. As far main dishes go we have had varieties of their steak, pane'd veal, pork chop, pasta and fish. All were amazing. There was some kind of street fair going on, so we parked in the back and walked in from the back door. It was a little confusing, but we four a very sweet server who showed us where to sit. I think her name was Lincoln and she was very sweet. The outdoor area was a little messy, but no big deal. The food was okay. I had a French burger that was a little flat tasting. My husband had the French dip. Again, it was just okay. Cocktails were pretty good. Based on that alone I probably wouldn't go back, but we were limited on choices due to having our dog with us. Here's where it took a turn. We went to our car and there was a very nasty note telling us, "The next time you park here you will be towed." It directed us to go inside to get someone to move their car which was blocking us in. We didn't see any other parking lot and there weren't any no parking signs. I went inside and found our waitress who gave the note to a woman sitting at the bar with papers spread out in front of her. I assume she was the manager or owner. She didn't say a word and sent the waitress to move her car. All of the sudden our sweet server wasn't so sweet. Come to find out, the parking lot entrance was on the side where the street fair was and we couldn't see it. I think that is a pretty nasty way to treat customers. I don't recommend this place at all.
