Absolutely disgusting. We went after my daughter's school choir concerns couple of weeks ago. Her hushpuppies were raw, oozing out raw dough. My baked potato was stone cold. And no waitress came to check on our food, till it was time for dessert. Fast forward to today, my daughter wanted breakfast at CB. I love French toast, so I ordered their limited cinnamon French toast. It was burnt and tasted awful. I had time to eat my and bacon, after I went in search for our waitress. Over 15 minutes later she came. They offered my money back, but damn it, I was hangry at that time. When they brought the new one, it looked darn near perfect. Why so hit and miss? First time at CB, i like the atmosphere although very noisy. I will say, based on this experience, not a fan. Got there during the Sunday noon rush, wait wasn't too bad, team member we left name with was pleasant. After being seated we waited a long long long time before anyone came by to bring us water or allow us to order. Long enough to research and join their rewards club and read Yelp reviews, plan our day for tomorrow and play a few games. Also tried unsuccessfully to redeem shareable, more on that later. Our server, while professional, seemed rushed and impersonal. They appeared to be way short staffed for the rush so didn't blame her, she was hustling. Food was meh...not a fan of the gravy. they mixed up our orders and I got cremated bacon, which my wife likes. She told server her bacon wasn't cooked enough so the server took her bacon (which was actually my bacon) wrapped in a napkin back to the kitchen...really? That's how you take food back, wrapped in the guest's napkin. It was returned shortly (on a plate) and was crisp as ordered. Wife like it. I didn't send my over cooked, crisp bacon back, anyway what would they do, wrap it in a napkin, take it away, then soak it in boiling water to soften it? While we ordered the same thing, my wife got almost twice the portions I did. Scrambled eggs were the best thing on the plate. Sadly, biscuits were a bit hard. The server did pass by one other time to check on us...all okay...yep...sure...so we took the check up to pay and discovered we were 11th in line to pay. Total of 1hr 55min for breakfast. This would be a one star review if not for the cashier. She ask how everything was...uh...okay...she understood exactly what I meant. Nice lady, great customer service. She pointed out that I had a free shareable...I said yeah, tried to redeem and it went to an error webpage. No joy. She offered to take care of it on the spot and get me something to go. Thanked her, told her all good and appreciated her wanting to take care of us. Noisy as always, but the food has definitely gone downhill. Sausage was tough and dry after we asked for "lighly cooked." Eggs, ordered "over medium" were so underdone as to be almost raw. I love runny yolks but runny whites? Gag! Sausage gravy was bland and tasteless, made from water and flour apparently with no sausage or seasoning. Coffee was good though. Service was also good, as it always is there. Now don't get me started on prices! We have recently eaten at three other restaurants nearby, and in each case, the breakfast was better, and less expensive. We probably won't be coming back ever, as we have many paces nearby that are better and less expensive, less crowded, and quieter -- Olde Bus Station in Harrodsburg, Gravel Switch Station Restaurant in Gravel Switch, and J Crew in Danville. read more

Our family of 12 decided to enjoy a family dinner at Cracker Barrel. We were blessed with this angel server Savannah. She went above and beyond to make sure our drinks were always filled and our food was delivered promptly. She was so kind her service made our entire night. Always hit or miss at cracker barrel, but this one has it down. Very friendly waitress, got refills on my coffee which is usually a weak spot for Cracker Barrel's . The eggs benny was nicely cooked and seasoned. Always nice when you have flavor to your breakfast, as a lot of places are going to the plain style and you season it yourself. The old timers breakfast was plain, but specifically ordered that way by our friend. Obviously the ambiance at Cracker Barrel is always great. Was seated quickly but took about 5 minutes to have someone come get our drink order. Our server was friendly and attentive after the initial issue. The country fried turkey dinner with pancakes was really good. Of course the chicken and dumplings were tasty. Cracker Barrel has a charm that many other chain restaurants lack. The wood exterior and long porch filled with rocking chairs makes for a welcome entrance. We hit this one up in Danville for breakfast and found that while it was very busy, we were promptly seated and received friendly service. It is a wide menu of classic stick to your rib dishes. Very unprofessional, waited almost an hour for a order after being told it would be ready in 20-25 min. to go server when asked to supply the missing item from the to go order acted as I was trying to get something for free and demanded to see the to food. Never have i been made to feel like I was on trial or like I was trying to steal something. My wife and I got the food, set in the truck and then checked the order. Once we seen the single item was missing I went back in with the receipt and asked for the missing item. Worst customer service I've ever had! Really hope someone up the chain see this and investigates it as no one deserves to feel this belittled. read more

I have given this location several chances. The last straw was yesterday, 1-4-23. You name it, it happened. Even manager was rude. Service is horrible! Retail workers are nice, but restaurant workers need training, in all areas, but especially customer service! I will go out of my way to NOT eat there (Danville) again! My family and I wanted to have a nice breakfast together this morning. We typically dont have time or funds to do this, so being able to get together and eat today was a special opportunity. I would like to preface this by saying it is a sunday, and breakfast on a sunday without a reservation can be a pain. We had also been hearing disappointing stories before giving it a shot. We reserved a table online as this was supposed to be the best spot, and were told it would be a 35 minute wait. We waited an hour in the parking lot for a text message to come through for our table. By this point, the little ones in the backseat were getting restless and very hungry. My mom suggested calling and immediately after explaining our frustrations, we got transferred to a manager who put us on hold. Without another word, a message for the table popped up. The very first thing I noticed walking in was the mass amount of people in the store portion of the restaurant. It was very crowded and uncomfortable to walk through. The next thing I noticed was the clearly overworked wait staff. They appeared to be doing their best, though there were still many unhappy faces in the area. Our waitress was very friendly and tried her hardest to be quick about getting our drink and food orders in. Again, we waited for what felt like another hour. From about 10 to 40 minutes after ordering, we were told it wouldn't be much longer and that the plates were being gathered together. Our order came out incorrect and in small portions. I was shocked by how small 2 scrambled eggs with cheese looked on the plate. The bacon was unimpressive, not thick cut like advertised and not cooked well on my plate. My brother ordered French toast, but received pancakes instead and the strawberries and whipped cream I ordered on my pancakes were missing. My mom who ordered a breakfast platter was also surprised at the portions as the side of grits was bigger than anything else on her plate. What is going on with Cracker Barrel? Went there last night and ordered from breakfast menu. They brought out food sitting out t on table then saying they were out of gravy. Ask for jelly the said only one kind . Ask for hash browns, was told no longer on menu . Had to get hash brown casserole , which was dried out and hard . Ask them to bring more, got the same mess. Bacon and sausage hard and dried out, apparently been in a warmer quite some time. Had ordered a side of pancakes, no one could explain why we could not get them. Finally ask for manager, she was making excuses that out of food. The menu says breakfast anytime and we waited for the food over half hour. If you can't fill the order then tell the customer up front so they can order something else. read more

Absolutely not. Our food took forever to get to our table, and when it did, it was cold...not to mention underseasoned and just meh. Service was definitely lacking for whatever reason. Our server said it was because she was running all over the place like we wouldn't believe.. I feel bad for her, but honestly, I don't think its so much the company's fault as it was her. I ran out of water at the beginning of our meal and never saw a refill. Asked for a to go box and after waiting 15 minutes, I finally asked someone else to get one for me. Really Cracker Barrel again! Didn't even stay this time to eat even though really wanted new homestyle chicken meal! Arrive at 3:00 clearly not that busy! Sunday morning visit for breakfast started out with a cup of coffee with lipstick on it, which was strange because I am a man who doesn't wear lipstick. Our waitress was prompt but clearly not happy to make any substitutions to our order or happy to be at work today. I am a frequent breakfast customer and you really can't go wrong getting breakfast at Cracker Barrel. That being said, service is hit or miss. If you draw a good server, your experience will be a good one. If not, well...you're gonna have a lengthy wait for anything you need and you'll probably be late to work. read more

The food is great and servers are Always friendly. But I must complain about my experience today! First, construction is underway so of course, two handicapped spots are removed. I had to park in the very back of the parking lot in a regular spot with my wheelchair bound daughter. Why not create an extra handicapped spot to replace the one that was removed? Second, the handicapped bathroom stall is out of order. This is a HUGE issue for a wheelchair bound person. I cannot get my daughter in a regular Stall. I understand that toilets have issues, but please make fixing the handicapped stall a priority. We had to rush our lunch so that we could go to another store for the bathroom. Third, I love looking at all the merchandise in the store, but please Leave Room for wheelchairs to get through! I had to start down several paths then back up because of all the stuff in the floor. This exactly what I wrote to the main Cracker Barrel. My sister and I frequent this location as it is near where we live, and we have been going to Cracker Barrels for years. I have to be honest this location has really gone down hill for the last few years. We often just order the salads there. We often order the chicken caesar salad and if you go by what the menu says ,Southern Grilled Chicken Caesar Salad 580 calories** as shown $8.89 Romaine lettuce and multigrain croutons tossed with our Buttermilk Caesar Dressing and topped with grilled chicken breast, shaved Parmesan cheese, two deviled eggs, and grape tomatoes. Romaine lettuce, not iceberg lettuce! I have pointed this out to the managers, yes I said managers, waitresses, etc. Every time me or my sister go there it is iceberg lettuce not ROMAINE!! I refuse to send back the food because I don't want any repercussions from sending back my food! The store in Nicholasville uses ROMAINE! Also it's a shame to send out a strawberry shortcake with 3 slices of strawberry's on it! While the managers walk around during the busy times, why don't you suggest they work?? How many times we have waited forever for service or food, the waiters/waitresses were overloaded with orders, and cleaning tables and the managers were walking around doing absolutely nothing except ask how people were doing or set and eat or drink coffee, get a clue managers!
