Obviously the headstones, chapel and crematorium covers a large majority of the land, but this is also a beautiful park, gardens and bush walks which I make full advantage of when walking my dog. Yes, this is a favourite Auckland dog walking spot. The views of the city and Waitakere hills is absolutely stunning any time of day and the tracks you can literally walk for hours if you choose through the facility. Often I will stop to look at a headstone, so much history is documented here such as the Holocaust Memorial, 1918 Influenza Epidemic and the Erebus Memorials. Anzac commemorations are held at the Cenotaph. If you were so inclined, they do cemetery walks through the summer months.

The viewing room, I would say they have a few of these, are off a central reception area with couches and plenty of room for visitors. Their team did a great job on preparing our loved departed one. The service was held in the chapel, it is a very comfortable space and was able to accommodate the huge number of family and friends who came to the funeral. It's been equipped with all of the modern audio visual and sound systems but a lot of this goes right over you when you are here to remember someone dear to you. I guess that's the benchmark of what a quality outfit Morrison's are, the seamless operation that is instigated by a professional team who know exactly what needs to be done so taking the pressure of everyone else. The reception area is very nice and there is loads of parking on site and on the road.

At this difficult time for family and friends there's a sense of closure with the funeral. The large chapel had a view out to olive trees through the rear window and modern big screens to view the awesome photos of our loved one's life. The hosting was caring and professional. There was a simple reception afterwards in the adjacent lounge which was a time to pay respects to the family and remember our friend with others. Parking is around the venue and the grounds are nicely landscaped.

We got a nice plaque that was engraved with my nana's name and birthday, and it looked great. Nice and simple. It wasn't too expensive either. We came back here when my poppa died and go the same plaque, with his name and birthday engraved, and they look great together on the headstone in the cemetery. Great service, great product.

So I will keep this short and sweet. I just wanted to say I had my grandmother's funeral here a while ago. It was very small, just family, just the way she wanted it. What I thought was great was that even though it was so small it really still felt special here. Everything was beautiful and set up perfectly and the service itself was spot on. I can't comment on prices and technicalities but thought I would share a small part of that special experience.
