Dr. Cain is amazing. I was skeptical about going to chiropractor, however after having sciatica from a back injury at the gym and trying to go to the doctors, only to be prescribed pain killers. I ended up dealing with sciatica for two months and finally decided to go and visit Dr. Cain. His assistant Kris is always helpful in answering any questions and she never fails to greet you with a smile. Dr. Cain is the perfect balance of efficient, hospitable and knowledgeable. I hate it when you have an appointment and end up waiting an extra hour even after coming in 15 minutes early because they told you too. Dr. Cain is punctual. for my first visit, Dr. Cain took me in 5 minutes before my appointment and made me feel very comfortable. He asked me a series of questions, and gave me valuable information as to how and why I have pain in certain areas of my body. Dr. Cain is grounded in the anatomy and science of his profession. After two visits my Sciatica was gone. I was in such disbelief that I started to watch videos on chiropractic care. Ironically there are videos of Dr. Cain teaching his practice in Germany! After sitting crooked at my desk for 6 months with my body twisted to face my computer, I had sufficiently primed both muscular and skeletal structures to pop a rib out while doing chair yoga one day. It was quite uncomfortable and I tried to pop it back myself with no luck. From a state of being uncomfortable it gradually became worse each day until the pain spread throughout my entire sternum. A deep tissue massage temporarily provided relief, but when the pain came back with a vengeance I knew I had structural issues. Either a chiropractic adjustment was needed or perhaps I was having a heart attack. Hoping for the former, and fearing the latter, I desperately called chiropractors throughout town. The Awakening Healing Center was able to accommodate me the soonest so I went in hopeful of a miraculous solution. I was not disappointed. Dr. Cain immediately identified my issue as "Tiezie Syndrome" which occurs when a certain rib is out of place and causes a nerve impingement creating the sensation I was experiencing. My husband and I have never been to a chiropractor before and Dr. Cain made it a wonderful first experience! My husband's shoulder has been in excruciating pain for a long time and medication was not helping. I researched on Yelp and found Dr. Cain. Dr. Cain's treatments has given me back my life. After 2 years of 24/7 shooting pain from my lower back, down my leg to my foot and no feeling at all in my right leg, along with all the pain killers and doctors telling me I need surgery or just learn to live with it. REALLY. . . well, Yesterday, was the first time in 2 years I had no shooting pain! Did not take any pain killers, got some feeling back in my right leg and a peaceful sleep. I have a 13 year old English Springer Spaniel named Lilly who is a retired search dog. Her work history put her in some very physically demanding situations and over time these affected her back and hind end. She would go for chiropractic adjustments on the mainland but moving to Hawai'i made me wonder if I would be able to find someone to help her here. I developed a very painful sciatic nerve "episode" which could keep me flat in bed for hours in the morning and which involves foot-drop and a burning sensation on the back of my thigh. I've suffered through acupuncture and epidural injections with no lasting results. I was seriously considering surgery.
