I had the pleasure of meeting a local, Arthur MacArthur, who told me about hilarious island stories, a bit of history and I even learned a little gaelic, however that could have just been me slurring my words. A little while later I was meeting quite a few more natives, at that point I knew any aspirations I had for the day had changed. Anybody is welcome here and they are a friendly, lively bunch. Don't be surprised if at some point you have a few drinks lined up and waiting for you. If you need a nap and doze off in the corner I don't think anybody will disturb you, unless somebody busts out some bagpipes, accordions and/or drums!

I ended up turning it into two open-face sandwiches and giving half to the wife and kids. This one tasted the best but the roll was quite heavy and not enough salad and lettuce to balance it all out. Caesar Salad: we needed something "clean" to help all the heavy food we were eating and we ordered this with dressing in the side. Odd thing to bring it up, but way too much croutons, ham, and cheese and we would have been happier with more greens. Kids cheese burger and chips: I had a bite and the venison burger was bland and not seasoned well. The chips were good and I think we were in the mood for them because we ordered more as a side after trying some.

It was basic but filled me up. The vegan patty on the burger was a good "meaty" style patty a-la Beyond or Impossible. (As opposed to a black bean or grain-based vegetable patty.)
