Wow, it seems like this library isn't very popular that it's going 13 years since Michael wrote the first review and now here's me. That's a bummer as reading is fundamental and having a quiet place to work is also super important. I was here at the library for close to four hours (couldn't ignore my stomach any longer) pounding away at work emails, dialing in to Zoom calls and generally being productive. It was awesome to have a study room where I could make a little bit of noise that perhaps I couldn't have done if I was out in the main part of the library. They have lots of workstations here for people to browse the internet. Of course, the usual fiction, non-fiction, periodicals, reference and other library sections. Just talking to Melanie who told me it's really Craighead County Library if one wishes to be correct although Jonesboro Library would suffice! But just don't call it 'That Library'!! Just got my library card today and feel like a part of the community. Everyone who works here is extremely helpful and the place is PEACEFUL! Probably the best library I've been to! Looking forward to patronizing this place in the near future. read more

This is an outstanding city/county library, with a great staff, really excellent children's section, free computers (including ones just for kids), lots of current books and movies, and newly renovated to boot. Several branches in small towns in Craighead County, with delivery services between them -- so you can reserve a book in one branch and pick it up after it gets brought to the branch near you. They had an innovative way of adapting to the pandemic closures, and are no doubt planning more concerts, special summer programs, etc., which they usually conduct. A REAL asset to Jonesboro and the area. read more
