Housing a small collection of regional artifacts; informative displays about the life and everyday items of the indigenous people. A reconstructed Mastodon (a replica from a cast) stands in the entryway, a number of real fossils are on display. "Old Town Arkansas" is a walkthrough display of shops and offices from the early 1800's. This is a kid friendly place with a number of interactive displays and activities. If you don't expect this to be the MET, you will not be disappointed. Yes it is a small place but I really enjoyed the visit and will follow the website to see future exhibits.

There were a few new things too, which was cool. We didn't get a chance to do the planetarium ($5 on the free third Thursdays) nor the giant screen theater (also $5). Next time, I for sure want to take my son inside the planetarium because it was my most favorite thing as a kid. Hopefully, he'll love it too. As an adult, the museum definitely seems a bit random and there's not a whole lot that's interesting (unless you're a huge science/history fan). And while much of old Cordova is gone, there's one place where you can get your small-town fix. The small museum fills up one room (and a small annex) in the Cordova Community Center. Since the building housed the Cordova School from the early 1900s until the mid-1970s, much of the museum's limited space is given to a model classroom. After the school was closed, the county stored all of the old school fixtures in the building, which means that much of what you can see in the Cordova Museum is authentic to the school. There are musty books, old sports jerseys, photos of the first graduating class (three people), sheet music from the glee club, school picture day proofs and a binder full of graded writing assignments (mostly nature poetry) from the 1950s. The most impressive thing about the Cordova Museum, though, is its collection of photographs and archives from the town's history dating back to roughly 1860. And unlike many museums, the Cordova Museum's staff of one, Cordova native Darlene Hooker Sawyer, can tell you the names (and often the backstories) of every single person in the photographs. If you grew up in Cordova and ever participated in any Fourth of July parades, crafts fairs or halloween events at the Community Center, there's a high liklihood that your picture is in one of the binders in the Museum. Since my mom insisted that we participate in just about every single Cordova event, I was able to find a photo of my childhood best friend and I dressed up in ridiculous homemade red white and blue bunting dresses from an early 90s Independence Day parade. The Cordva Museum is open Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. and on Saturdays from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. Admission is free, and they've also got free access to ancestrty.com from the museum computers.

The second time I attempted to use it, the doors kept opening / closing and an alarm went off. The security and staff stared at me like I was insane for asking about the elevator. I have a cane and had to ask more than once to use the elevator, and was warned that it doesn't always work. This is not ADA compliant and seriously needs to be fixed. This center isn't friendly to those with physical disabilities or wheelchair users.

maybe in-person's a different experience but online this place is seriously awful. professors make…read moreno effort to engage or connect with students. every professor i have has reused lecture videos from their predecessors, which usually include outdated assignment instructions. then when i email the professor to ask for clarification they refer me to the aforementioned videos. they don't grade their own assignments, they don't record their own lectures, they don't respond to emails in a timely or helpful manner, and worst of all they're condescending and unfriendly. if you mention struggling with very real learning disabilities like adhd, you aren't taken seriously or accommodated in any way, which seems borderline illegal. basically, if you want a masters degree i cannot think of a worse possible place to obtain one.

In my opinion, don't come here as an international except they can guarantee you a stable G.A or campus job.
