I have never lived in such an unfriendly dog community. Cranberry has gorgeous parks and impeccably taken care of but, you are not allowed to walk your dog in any of the parks. As a matter of fact they have signs all over that say no pets, or no dogs!! There is one park that has an off leash area. And we all know how unhealthy off leash areas are for dogs. If you are a dog lover and like to socialize with other dog lovers. Don't move to Cranberry Township!!

There are tons of books to read and movies to rent, and they have a nice section with computers for more learning. We recently started participating in STEAM Saturdays, and one of our favorite workshops was on airplane science. My son is now obsessed with learning how to make new models and seeing which ones fly the furthest. We also enjoyed the Christmas party, where the kids got to make gingerbread houses out of recycled milk cartons, graham crackers, icing and all the candy and other goodies. Santa was there, along with a hot chocolate bar. This library knows how to keep kids engaged and make learning and reading fun. I'm so glad we have such a wonderful local library.

Some guesses are that a founder's wife was interested in astronomy or that the name is based off part of the last name of another founder. The Mars Flying Saucer is a quick-stop roadside attraction that is easily accessible to visitors. I have seen it multiple times while driving down one of the main roads. Visitors may pull over, stand near, and touch the flying saucer. The flying saucer looks to be sturdy and in good condition. Most importantly, the flying saucer is fun to see!
