As soon as our younger child is old enough she will be enrolled in Hogarth as well. Andrea is more than you can ask for in a teacher. Her way with the kids is magical. Our daughter comes home and just blows our mind with what she has learned! The best part is the daily blog of the kids' day. Every single day Andrea puts up a review of the kids day on her website for parents only (everything is pw protected) that way we can stay current with what's going on and get to see cute photos of the kids! I do not recommend this daycare. My daughter started here in March 2021, and at first we really…read moreloved it, but the quality of the care unfortunately went downhill very quickly. As the saying goes, "the fish rots from the head down" - the owner, Nancy, is very nice but does not appear to be a competent manager/leader and there were numerous (dozens?) of staff who left during our one year there. There was basically a revolving door of staff and the parents were not kept in the loop about teachers who left or were hired. We really enjoyed several of the teachers, but after they left, we did not feel safe dropping our daughter off every morning. Compared to other daycare centers, Little Friends is always chaotic, filthy, and disorganized. The center was not competent at helping my daughter with potty training (she had numerous accidents every day but never had any at home or when she was being watched by others) and they did not provide an environment that was conducive to napping. She didn't nap for many months before we left, and as soon as she was enrolled in another program, she started napping daily. I hate to think of the damage caused to her by the potty training stress and lack of sleep/napping. Fortunately we found a new center and my daughter is now thriving. I hate to disparage a local business, but taking care of small children is very serious business, and I do not think Little Friends is up to the task.

Instead, labeling my child as needing "intensive behavioral support" based on our tour, where he was well behaved and the staff never corrected or redirected him. They used this need to justify not allowing him to attend at that location, stating he needed to attend one of their other locations, which could over a smaller class size which could better support his behavior problem. Yet when I asked for their observations so that I could address it with my medical team, I was told nothing. What type of person would lie about a 2 year old? And if they weren't lying, then why not support a mother in getting a child proper care by supplying evidence to bring to the doctor? Clearly, it's not about the children, just the money. Such a shame.

They take this very seriously and we are so thankful as we've been lucky to have them open and available during most of the pandemic! From the moment we first toured the school we knew Jen's attitude (and the schools mantra) about nature based learning were aligned with our goals of providing structure and learning together with the outdoors and exploring. Jen and her staff communicate well and really strive to get to know each family - they have become family to us! We recommend this school to all of our friends moving to the area!
