It's located in the same building as the senior center. I saw two activity buses. There's also a fully functional playground. Head start is much more than a daycare for little ones. It's an introduction to the routine of kindergarten and elementary school. A precursor if you will. As I was leaving I saw a bunch of children going into the playground. They were adequately staffed and supervised by four adults. This is a good thing.

They had adequate adult supervision; I saw two adults and there could have been more. There's nice playground equipment! This is the part I regret having to report. Last year there were seven high level DSS complaints against this daycare. You can find these reports on Google. Granted DSS reported all complaints were settled on site. But the topic of these complaints is alarming. Just to name a few of the seven includes: lack of adult supervision; staff/ child ratios; staff health; child abuse. Again, all these complaints were settled to the satisfaction of DSS and they were satisfied on site which means pretty immediate to my understanding. Again, all of this is on Google and verifiable. Sorry; can't recommend this daycare.

This afternoon my wife and I attended a birthday/swim party for our middle grandson here. It was…read moreour first time and we didn't know what to expect. The whole process from where to enter to the exit and everything in between was perfectly handled by the YMCA staff . They didn't miss a beat! All of the kids had about an hour and a half to swim before it was time to eat cupcakes and various snacks and watch the birthday boy opening presents. The YMCA didn't hold my daughter to an exact number of kids she could invite so there were quite a number in attendance. This was a super great experience and it's a great place for a birthday party!
