I was really excited to have 7 movie camera tapes and 2 VHS tapes transferred to a DVD. I checked the website and it stated 15 dollars for the movie camera tapes and 25 dollars for VHS. I dropped off my memories and picked them up a week later and he charged me 320 dollars- I said that's not what the website said. He said it wasn't his website. I'm sure it was because of the picture of the front of the store and I grew up in CL. So I know the area. Well when I got home I pulled up his website, saved to my favorites, and the prices were all gone! On top of that, for $30 dollars a CD, it was packaged in a paper disk holder, not a hard case and the cd did not have any label on it, it was rubber banded to the tape. Recently I was looking for a nearby video business to transfer VHS tapes into DVD discs and just happen to come across Create A Video. I didn't have time to comment about this particular business for what happened a few years ago. I had my daughter's type C video tape stuck in the camera transferred to DVD. I had the DVD made for $25 dollar but found out later that it contained only about 2-3 minutes of images. I asked the owner what happened. He reviewed the original C tape which indeed contained only 2-3 minutes of images. He admitted that he never bothered to check the original images in the C tape before he transferred them to DVD. He stated that he just usually just load them up into his transfer apparatus. What , I say, not nice to charge people a full price for a poorly pre-processed job. It's not a $25 issue, it's a poor handling of a transaction. Garbage in, garbage out is what I got. read more
