They had bagels and a yogurt parfait breakfast with endless coffee and hot tea before the activity. The activity was well explained. They had tools to collect your data/responses to questions. The event I attended was 2 days total. The staff of maybe 6 attorneys presented their case 3 petitioner 3 respondent. The case was well presented with graphics, photos and videos. They had plenty of bathroom breaks and I believe that sandwiches soda and chips were lunch. I believe we had an afternoon snack of cookies late afternoon to keep us going until 6:30pm. They held a raffle each day as an incentive to get people there early. For me the 405 was unpredictable even leaving at 5am to arrive by 8. I was close but not in the door by 8:15 and they called to check that I was ok. I assured them I was close... they gave the lobby a call that they still expected me and that made getting upstairs easy as the lobby staff escort you to the elevator. Our group was diverse in age and races, I believe we were 36-38 people. They ultimately broke us up in groups of 12. I believe 2 people didn't return for day 2. So we were 36 upon deliberation. I'm certain we were politically diverse as well. People were patient, tolerant and respectful. I enjoyed the event. They paid I believe in 3 days an honorarium for attending and it came within 72 hours as promised. The staff were great at the screening, great on-site, friendly communication. They have folding chairs and the one hint I would offer someone attending that location is to bring a pillow or office chair lumbar pillow. The back on the chairs are about waist high at the bottom and they don't have much back support for long days. I believe that the lumbar pillow for the booty will provide comfort and will make your day easier. The deliberation meeting rooms had adjustable office chairs and were a great break from the folding chairs. They were great to work with. I would absolutely participate in an event again if invited...if you don't try this activity you will loose out on a great experience and an opportunity to get extra cash. As a military family supporting more than one household and the prices being bad for 6 years... every penny helps. I used the funds from 2 days for new tires and a new battery...it was so helpful with budgeting... Don't miss out!
