I looked around and even checked in with the Internet thinking that it would be easy to find high-quality cabinet makers that met my budget and needs... Smith and Vallee totally got all of my concerns and made some beautiful custom cabinets for my brand-new kitchen remodel that truly make the space. We had a problem with my entry door with one of the new windows that was installed next to it. The trim out to tie in the 2 components was not aesthetically correct. Mike and I worked out a solution that was agreeable which included my buying a new entry door and frame. I got the single bore digital lock to install on the door and delivered it to the shop and notified everyone involved that it is the lock to bore the door for, weeks before the door was machined. I received the door with a double bore? I called Mike and he said "We are not doing one more thing for you". "Do you want everything for free?" Along with some other insults. He was defensive, didn't own the mistake, defiant, combative, abrasive and indignant.

I called to order a door and two windows. Asked multiple times what the timeframe was cause the contractor was asking. Two weeks later I get a call from Kevin saying "oh, I was looking on my desk and I saw your order was sitting there." They had been waiting for a document and it took him two weeks to realize he didn't have it (though I had sent it within minutes of getting off the phone with him). He then laughed when I asked why he felt it was appropriate to just let an order sit for two weeks on his desk. So I asked if there was anything he could do (maybe call the manufacturer) to speed the process up since he just wasted two weeks when he KNEW my contractor was planning things around these doors and windows being delivered. Then once the products arrived he called 3-4 times while I was working so I couldn't answer. I asked my husband to call him to see what the emergency was. He had been calling asking for the delivery address and then laughed when my husband called to say "oh, nevermind, it was in the file." And then we move on to delivery. What a joke. They never call back and when they do, though the delivery address is literally less than a mile from them, they only offer two days a week and the guy in charge of that doesn't call back, so better hope you catch him when you call. And when we did finally get it scheduled, they said "oh, you need to have people there to help us unload" I have NEVER had a company tell me that. It seems like a HUGE liability on their part, if someone gets hurt helping them unload a French door, that's not great for their business. If you've gotten this far, do yourself a favor and literally order from anyone but this business. They clearly give exactly ZERO f*%#ks about customers and though they seem like the only game in town, you can order from DUNN or other retailers. ANYONE would be better than dealing with this.
