I eliminated two of the options based on a lack of response or follow-up to my inquiries, leaving two where I focused on quality of product, price, and installation. In the end, Andy's was able to provide a 15% better price for the exact same product, pad, and installation options. Installation took two days, the installers were wonderful people. Family and I couldn't be happier. I'll certainly recommend Andy's to my friends.

Our job was replacing flooring on the top floor of a split level that included removing tile in the entry and kitchen. We knew our flooring under the carpet was subpar from the carpet install 24 years prior and we expressed this to the salesman from Andy's several times. He assured us they could fix it. The measure, product choices and quote all went smoothly and we had an install date set for 1 month out in October. We started moving furniture downstairs in preparation. The day before the product delivery the sales rep from Andy's told us that it had not arrived. We were given a new install date in November but when the date arrived, same story. Now our install date was early December. The Sales Rep from Andy's apologized and added free furniture move due to the delays so we left our 4 pieces of leather furniture upstairs. Again, no product and install was set for Monday after Christmas. The initial install attempts had been scheduled for a 4 day install but this one was only for 3 and during a holiday week. On day of install, crew didn't show up until after 10am and left about 5pm. The install crew was short one person and had forgotten the tool to remove tile. Someone delivered it several hours later. Removing the tile created tons of dust. None of our furniture, countertops or appliances were covered. The installer complained constantly about our floor level and that he didn't have enough time to do a good job although the crew were very seldom here for a full 8 hours. The 3rd day they left at 4pm as it was New Year's Eve. They had to come back New Year's Day to complete the install. Bottom line we are happy with the final product result. We don't know if the problems of material delivery were in fact the product company or Andy's incompetence. We will place the problems with install on Andy's as they did not give the installers adequate time to do a good job. Especially during a holiday week. We were left with a HUGE mess to clean up with tile dust thick on our furniture, walls, appliances, kitchen, etc. Our free furniture moving for compensation was not performed. We also had to have the installer come back later to clean up glue that was smeared on the new flooring. Although the Andy's rep was communicative and easy to reach, I would not recommend Andy's.

We met Darrell who took us to the back to look at remnants. We chose a nice remnant and told them we needed it to be cut, shaped, bound and a rubber backing applied. I had my downstairs floors done about a year ago and they are still gorgeous. I just had the upstairs done and the craftsmanship behind it is super. What an art! However, this was the first time I had dealt with such a situation (bathroom flooded and seeped to the rest of the condo and the floors needed to be redone). I didn't realize there were three different areas of work that needed to be done: mitigation and cleaning, deconstruction, and reconstruction. I thought "mitigation and cleaning" was the sum total of what needed to be done and inclusive of everything. I had no understanding that there were three phases. It could be that someone in the company tried to explain it to me, I don't know. I was dealing with too much at the time (health concerns, a mother with health concerns, moving, etc.) and nothing was going right and it made me really grumpy thinking about how much money was going toward this project and how long it was taking. However, the Cleaner Guys continued to be professional and polite throughout the experience. Once they were done with the flooring and repairs I was very, very happy. They did a fantastic job not only with the flooring, but also with repairs, repainting, replacing, etc., and the condo almost feels like a brand new home. I am very happy with the work that they did. Just remember that it will cost more and take longer than you expect it to. It's not going to be a sprint. It's going to be a marathon.

There must be a second 'Callison Hardwood Floors'. I read a…read morecouple of negative reviews on Yelp and could not believe they were about the same Rich Callison that I dealt with. Rich was fantastic in assisting us to choose the right hardwood when we were tearing out OLD, WORN carpet that had 42 year old pet stains. Rich met with us onsite, at several different vendors' locations. He also contacted some showrooms so we were greeted by the owners who knew in advance what was recommended for our installation. There was never pressure to make a decision. His proposal was accurate and he was always on time for any appointments we set up. When the hardwood was delivered a month early, to allow the wood to acclimate to the temperature and humidity in our home, it was stacked too tightly, so Rich came himself and moved the huge amount of boxed Cumaru around in our room so it would have room to 'air' and adjust to the environment for that month. Our installation was perfect. The red oak living room floor was in poor shape. Rich finished and stained the oak floor so the stain was close in color to the new Cumaru and the two different woods look beautiful next to each other. I can't say enough nice things about the experience we had with Rich Callison. I offered him permission to give out my personal phone number if someone wants to ask me questions, first hand. He is a gentleman and a true craftsman. My home feels like walking into a showroom now.
