Christopher Brock Photography - Punjabi Gujarati Indian Wedding Photography by Christopher Brock - www.chrisbrock.org

    Christopher Brock Photography

    (19 reviews)

I am beyond devastated by my experience with Christopher Brock. Before we signed the contract, he…read morewas extremely reassuring and promised a full team for both bride and groom, professional movie-quality cameras, a drone, edited and unedited photos and videos, and live streaming so our family in India could watch. None of that was delivered as promised. We had a three-day Indian wedding, and from the first day he limited his time to barely an hour, forcing us to rush guests just to get basic photos. The "crew" was only him and his teenage son, who gave no direction, took little initiative, and often stood around unless told what to do. I had to worry about whether anything was being captured instead of focusing on my wedding rituals. At one ceremony, he placed his camera in the middle of the room, sat next to it with his legs crossed, and his boot is visibly blocking part of the ceremony in the footage while he barely moved; guests complained about his behavior, and even the priest said he smelled like weed at the temple. During a night event, he filmed performances from behind our heads, only started a live stream after being reminded, recorded about an hour of a four-to-five-hour function, then left without telling anyone and stopped responding to calls, forcing us to spend over $8,000 that night on a new photographer and videographer and miss half our own event just to ensure our actual wedding ceremony would be documented. On the wedding day, he appeared upset about the new team, stood to the side refusing to properly work, barely captured the baraat, left before my bridal entrance, and did not record a single moment of our marriage ceremony. He promised delivery in three months, yet over a year passed with excuses, at one point sending someone else's wedding files and later falsely claiming he had sent ours to my father, who was not the client and had never provided contact information. The address on his website turned out to be a hotel that had no knowledge of him, and only after the manager threatened police involvement did he send disorganized, mostly unedited folders filled with random photos, poorly edited videos, and nothing from the actual ceremony. After paying nearly $10,000, we were left heartbroken, financially drained, and robbed of once-in-a-lifetime memories, and I would never recommend him to any couple.

I've had the unfortunate experience of working for Chris Brock. He is more concerned about shooting…read moresteroids into his butt than actually doing his job. He's a terrible wedding photographer, doesn't know how to pose his subjects, his equipment is amateur at best and he treats his clientele like garbage. He likes to sleep in his room while wedding events are occurring! He can change the address on his Google Business listing all he wants, but he won't be able to hide from his horrible reputation. He's good for one thing, taking your money and ruining your wedding videos and photos. He also doesn't pay his photographers what he initially agreed upon and makes them share rooms, when he bothers to get them a room. DO NOT HIRE THIS FRAUD.

Melissa took the time to ask thoughtful questions and truly get to know me, which helped us create a vision that we both loved. Her artistic eye and creativity are phenomenal, and the final results exceeded my expectations. The entire process was so much fun, and it was a pleasure to have Melissa as my photographer. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a talented, creative, and professional photographer.

Melissa is simply great! She not only switched around her schedule to accommodate me, she also checked in with me while I was in the hospital to make sure we were still on track with the picture time( newborn pics are usually taken within 2 weeks of the baby's birth). On the creative end she listened to my ideas and did her hardest to recreate my vision. I wanted lots of colors and a picture created with Diwali(festival of lights) theme in mind. Melissa did not the necessary research and even went to purchase several items to make things happen perfectly. During the day of the shoot she as quick, efficient and truly a baby whisperer. My baby slept through the entire shoot! Her studio is also perfect with the temperature adjust for the baby's comfort. She has diapers, breast pump, baby wipes, hand sanitizers, in short all essentials needed for new moms and babies. She also has a nook for snacks for the parents and outfit options for moms to wear at the shoot. I also got my pictures within 2 weeks which was amazing. Additionally, even after getting the pictures I was not happy with one particular picture and Melissa did her damnest to make it better including offering to retake the pic. Overall: I loved working with Melissa and will definitely keep going back to her for more professional pictures.

Darleen Prem Photography - Senior Portraits

Darlene, however, is an absolutely wonderful woman and her photos of me turned out amazing. She knows exactly how to make you feel comfortable in front of the camera, which the other photographers I met with were not able to do. She's very skilled and experienced and it shows in her photography. I highly recommend her and I'll be doing business with this company again.

Most of the reviews I read online are false, as most are written by well-meaning friends who of…read morecourse are going to write, "The XYZ Co. is the best thing that EVER happened to me! So glad I found them!!!!" I don't have to write some bogus review about Darleen Prem Photography, although I have known her personally for most of my life. Here's why you should believe me even though I of course think she's THE BEST PHOTOGRAPHER EVER because she is my friend as well as these reasons: 1) I am a music website & print magazine Editor, so I work with some of the best photographers in the world. I know good work. 2) I was a professional model a long time ago, so I've been "shot" by some of the best photographers in the world and am very picky about my personal pictures. 3) Darleen took some promo pics of me last year of which I received more compliments on than any other photographs ever taken of me. She made this "turning 39 again this year" girl look and feel awesome! 4) I am friend's on Facebook with many famous photographers who have NO motivation whatsoever to go out of their way to "like" or positively comment on Darleen's work (which they do - regularly). 5) I have recommended her to so many friends, businesses, etc. that have all used her and loved her. Her pictures manage to encapsulate an individual's personality in a very unique way - whether human or pet! I think she should charge twice the amount that she does for how extraordinary her work is, but she is a very honest, down to earth person who runs a small business and understands the economy. Do yourself a favor and check out her portfolio then book an appointment. This has been a REAL review of a GREAT photographer. :-)

5 star awesome experience based on the session alone. From…read morethe moment my son and I walked in, we felt welcomed. My son had 3 photographers: 1 for his cap and gown picture, 1 for his senior yearbook picture, and 1 for the extra runway pose. All three photographers were great, but the photographer who stood out the most with my son was Peyton. Peyton was able to break through the wall my son put up, and that allowed his true personality to shine through! I can't wait to see the pictures!

If you want to get ANY digital copies, only one comes in the package 3 at $399 after the photography. Plus tax. Plus shipping. Plus some other random fee. By their own admission during the presentation, they mishandled my son's photography sessions letting a trainee take my son's photos. They came out very amateurish. These are his senior portraits! Only one photo that the trainee did NOT take came out well. The only remedy they offered me was to take even more crappy pics of my son. Tech issues during the photo presentation. Dirty robes falling apart day of taking the photos for the cap and gown pic. I asked them to fix it with safety pins so the damage wouldn't show in the pics. They couldn't figure out it. A manager came and put huge, ugly blobs of tape on the front of their gown where they would show in the photos, making the problem even worse! I had to ultimately fix it as best I could myself. Only to be told that the cap and gown pics aren't even part of the $600+ total package fee! They have to be purchased separately in March of next year, which no one told me at check in the day the photos were taken, again, like they admitted they failed at and were supposed to. Training fails, communication fails, and lack of professionalism, not to mention lack of cleanliness all the way around! So frustrating and disappointing. We should've just taken the yearbook pics and booked at an actual professional studio for some real senior portraits for my only child. Also, the $50 deposit is a trap. If you're unhappy with the pics and don't use the deposit for ordering at the presentation, they'll keep your money!
