At the last minute we booked one of Denise's artist for glitter tattoos for my son's birthday. I'm so GLAD we did, it turned out such a success. The artist bought some additional equipment for hair braiding. It was such a hit with the kids and grown ups!! The artist was professional with a beautiful smile on her face. The hair braiding also worked well for us since our party was for 10 kids so there was enough time for anyone who wanted it to have it done, it's intricate braiding with beads. Denise and her team were amazing artists. I was looking to book a face painting/balloon twisting combo for my daughter's 4th birthday party and happened to find Creative Faces, which is a family owned and operated business. She was very responsive with my questions and easy to book. We had about a dozen kids at the party and she spent so much time and attention, giving each one the exact face painting design that they wanted (and glitter tattoos too!). Her son was also working the balloon twisting and made some great designs for the kids, even matching the colors of their outfits to the balloons they wanted. Everyone came away from the party extremely impressed with their work and professionalism. Not only that but they were very friendly and accommodating to late requests even though we were at the designated time limit we booked. Some adults even wanted in on the action after seeing what the kids were getting! My daughter has had her face painted probably 5 times in the last few months at various events and hands down, this was the best and most elaborate I have seen her get. I hired creative faces for a block party and we got the works- 2 face painters with hair feathers and henna, a tattoo artists and the reptile zoo. They were a huge hit at the party and the artwork they did was truly beautiful. They even took requests that's weren't in the book which most face painters don't usually do. The reptile zoo kept some of the kids sitting there for 30 minutes touching and holding various snakes and lizards. I was trying to think of a fun and unique thing to do for my friend's 35th birthday. I landed on face painting to tap into our inner child and it was such a big hit! We booked our daughter's third birthday party a little last minute, and we were very happy that Denise worked with us in booking a face painter and a balloon maker. The communication via email was efficient before the party and we were pretty excited to have this type of fun and entertainment at the party, what we got though was a little disappointing. While the artist did amazing work and was very talented, I feel that both the artist and balloon maker lacked in friendliness. They barely introduced themselves to my husband and I, and they seemed to have no enthusiasm or excitement for the party. While I understand that perhaps they were tired from working the party that they came from, I would still expect them to be kind and genuine to the guests and show a little enthusiasm, especially since this was a kids party. They didn't really explain to the kids what they were offering, so therefore the guests seemed a little nervous to get in line for the services. Besides the face painting and balloon making, temporary glitter tattoos were supposed to be offered, however the children didn't really know about this, as the balloon maker really didn't say much. Don't think there was any glitter added to the few tattoos that were done. The face painter was a little off putting with parents and guests as well. While I understand that they were there do paint the children's faces first and foremost, if a parent wanted their face painted, that should not have been a problem, as many kids were shy to have their faces painted. While the artist did paint some of the adults faces, she didn't seem too thrilled or inviting about it. Being in the hospitality/customer service industry myself, it pains me to write this, however it was on my mind all weekend after the party, especially since we spent a small fortune to offer this service to our guests $335 plus tip. I would give the art five stars, however I would give the customer service one star, which is so important in this day and age, especially when there are so many companies competing for business out there. If you want great art, but with people who aren't very friendly and won't speak or interact with guests much, go with this company! read more
