I chose this DME provider because they were one of the only authorized providers in the area for Cubby Beds and had positive reviews--though now I question their authenticity. In August, I submitted all required documentation for my son's Cubby Bed, including a detailed letter of medical necessity and prescription for the full system (bed, canopy, mattress, and tech hub). My insurance approved everything quickly and without issue. However, the DME company submitted the order incorrectly as only ONE unit of durable medical equipment. When I called to clarify, I was told it should have been submitted as FOUR separate units. This forced me to go back to my insurance company to correct THEIR mistake, causing unnecessary delays and confusion. After finally getting approval corrected, the bed was delivered--but without the tech hub. When I followed up, I was then told (months later, on December 30) that the tech hub was actually a FIFTH unit that had never been submitted. Again, I had to contact my insurance company myself to fix their error. My insurance approved the additional unit immediately, but because it was approved on December 30 and the company was closed for New Year's, the order was delayed and the tech hub went on backorder. I was assured it would still be delivered and backdated. It is now April, and we still have not received the tech hub. To make matters worse, our insurance has since changed, meaning we will likely never receive it. This is not just an inconvenience--this is a serious safety issue. The tech hub includes monitoring features that are critical for my son, who has epilepsy. This equipment could literally help save his life during a nighttime seizure, and we are without it due to repeated errors and mismanagement by this company. The lack of accountability, poor communication, and repeated mistakes throughout this process are unacceptable. I strongly urge other families to choose a different DME provider. This has been an incredibly frustrating and concerning experience, and no family should have to fight this hard for medically necessary equipment.

The way my loved one was treated lacked basic compassion and respect, which is unacceptable in any setting--especially when someone is already in a vulnerable position. The time and energy wasted cannot be recovered, but I hope this location takes this feedback seriously. There is a clear need for better staff training and significant improvements in how customers are treated at the Livonia location.

I just placed an order over the phone today and Jessica, the rep, was extremely kind and was able to get the order out to me in less than 10 minutes. My pump supplies have a much longer shelf life than my Dexcom supplies, so I feel confident in Solara for these. Original review: I would give zero stars. They supply my Dexcom medical supplies but the transmitter they sent out died less than 1 month into use (they are supposed to last 3 months each). After giving Dexcom support the transmitter number, they told me that the distributor NEVER should have sent these devices out so close to their expiration date. If you use Cigna, they have a new program where you can get your Dexcom supplies from your local pharmacy. I'm taking my business there, as this is a mistake that Solara never should have made.

Despite already going in there, I was blatantly provided the wrong piece of equipment and charged for it even though insurance should have been billed. After using it for a few days, I knew something was wrong as it was causing me to choke. I go back in for the proper piece of equipment. The sales rep was absolutely less than useless. She rudely pointed people to objects across the sales room saying, "over there". You are dealing with a majority of older people who don't know what exactly they are looking for, especially as it isn't their job to know. Your sales rep refuses to get out from behind the counter to actually work and help people. She is lazy and indignant. While I was looking "over there," the sales rep continued to shout across the room my person medical information. I mean- HIPPA anyone? She does not belong in this industry, or anything related to customer service. The manager who came out to help was undoubtedly clueless with any changes the company may have made regarding pay and policy. It's more than frustrating when the employee and management contradict each other in how payment will be addressed. Bottom line, I came in looking for help. I was not helped. It's disgusting to see such poor service and how this kind of business can be run half-ass, leaving its customers searching blindly for what they need just in order to live a more normal life or I don't know, maybe not die in their sleep. My doctor faxed over an order for you to pick this up a week ago. All I get is "Let me switch you over to that department" Then put on hold for over 10 minutes. This happened twice. I have a life and sitting on a ohne waiting for your attention is not part of it. Maybe I should just place the stuff out outside. The trash collector is better at doing his job then you are.
