I finally decided to stop in the other day while I was on a mission for Christmas gifts and after vowing to buy locally for the Christmas season, I figured this would be a good start. My first thought on walking into the store was "crap, this is going to be way too expensive" and although they do have some pricey things, it is actually pretty reasonable. The store also doubles as a salon, which was unexpected. The owner and a friend were sitting in the back of the store talking and the owner immediately walked up to my daughter and gave her a free snow globe and let me tell ya, she won the heart of my daughter and me because she was so sweet. This store sells home furnishings, trinkets, local lavender, jewelry, even specialty foods. I purchased a box of grow your own oyster mushrooms for a secret santa gift. SO AWESOME. And the owner gift wrapped it for me for free and it's soooo pretty. I'm really excited to come back to this store. Great place to come for gifts and really fantastic owner!

About a month ago, I went in to see about ideas and options for re-decorating my formal living…read moreroom. I was immediately greeted by a lovely associate named Brooke. She was amazing! She had so much experience and so many great ideas! It is rare to find an employee in any business that impresses you that much. The strange thing was that the whole time we were talking, the owner kept staring at us. It was off-putting. Several times she even came over and interrupted to check on us while we were being shown around. She was a little rude and nosy. It was irritating! It was so bad that I apologized to Brooke and said I would think about her ideas and return later to make purchases. When I came back a couple of weeks later, she apparently didn't work there any more. Terrible, but I can understand why. It was a weird place. I really wanted to work with her, but since she was gone, the manager became kind of pushy when dealing with me and a bit shady, so I went to a different store. I ended up getting almost the same items I wanted elsewhere for such a better price that I was able to redecorate my living room and the foyer. Try somewhere else.

Our previous house was a similar project that we took on without a designer... (never again). The experiences were night and day. Valerie listened to our design preferences; she showed us 3D renderings of her ideas; she provided an accurate budget; and she coordinated EVERYTHING while keeping us informed. We didn't have to lift a finger. And the finished product is better than we could have ever imagined. In addition to remodeling our home, Valerie helped us fill it with beautiful furniture.
