We recently moved in to Spectra and just want to share all the things we love about it…read more When I open my door and look out, there is a beautiful water fountain to enjoy. I'm just steps away from the beautiful lake and water feature, surrounded by a really great walking path that we have already enjoyed. We have already taken time to play ball on the tennis court, used the playground that is in very good condition and well appointed for an apartment community, and enjoyed all the wildlife we have encountered already. We swam in the pool, which is super clean and crystal clear. Have played ping pong, used both gyms, and enjoy the cleanliness of the Clubhouse and the restrooms on-site. One of the hallmarks of a great business, is what you do when a concern is brought to your attention. Upon move in we had a concern we brought to the staff at Spectra and they 100% took ownership of the situation and all the steps to make it right. That level of professionalism goes such a long way. We are grateful for Ashley helping get this sorted out so quickly for us!! The entire team has been so kind and helpful and we are looking forward to the vivid living that this community offers. We called to get the process started of moving into a new apartment in the same location and we're waiting for an email that never came. We called again to see what the issue was and they couldn't find our information so we had to start all over again from scratch. We finally submitted our application 3 weeks ago and it's been radio silence since then. We call almost every day for updates and my girlfriend goes in person to talk to them. When she goes in person they have no idea what she's talking about and she has to explain the situation every single time! When I call all they say is "everyone is in a meeting" "they're out of the office" "they're working on it tomorrow". I'm honestly surprised at the lack of communication and effort we have been receiving. To be fair I'm not sure what all goes into the approval process, but I have a hard time believing it's takes almost a month. If we weren't on a deadline I'd be okay with waiting, but the fact that we are left completely in the dark and it feels like pulling teeth trying to get anyone to explain what the hold up is. It's been a very frustrating experience and we will likely have to look elsewhere and refund the money spent on the application.

My kids were yelled at the whole week, and they are very well behaved children. It's mostly cranky old people that want to read next to the pool and don't want kids playing in the water. The pool is also ridiculously small and has an insane amount of rules including: no jumping, no rafts, no pool noodles, no rough housing, no loud noises... Balcony was nice, but there is no way to remove the screens, so when looking at the beach it gives you a headache. They provide chairs, but you aren't allowed to bring them into the sand either?!? Won't be staying there again.

If you are someone who requires an elevator, they often don't work and shut down. Once Again, without any communication from management. A safety hazard for sure. 3. Amazon packages are regularly stolen as tenant's mailroom is open to the public parking area 24/7. 4. Appliances are CHEAP. Noisy dishwasher, small refrigerator, sub-standard garbage disposals and you can't wash a full set of sheets in stackable WD set. I got "grease" on an expensive bottom sheet that never came out. 5. Plastic vertical blinds. Think section 8. 6. Pool is often dirty as system is inadequate (makes a horrible "screeching" sound.) Health Department closed it down twice while I was sitting there. 7. Left our apartment in very good condition. Much better than when we moved in. The check-out statement reflected this. However, excessive water amount charges (not substantiated) and trash removal were taken out of damage deposit. For the 2 weeks it was in excess of $140. Don't complain, if you do get someone to answer the phone it falls on deaf ears. Guess they are too busy RAISING the rent.

The first couple of months were fine. I loved it. Beautiful people, amazing community. Not even six months after moving in, my kitchen drawer broke. A couple of months after that, the light in my bathroom stopped working. So that was already two things breaking before I had even been here a year. On top of that, the apartment has so many roaches, ants, and RATS. You're paying for "pest control," but it's really not solving the issue at all. The staff is very nice in person. I have nothing against the office staff. The one thing they really need to fix is communication. You can barely get them on the phone. THEY RARELY REPLY TO EMAILS but can spam you with unwanted ones. As for maintenance requests, honestly, at this point, just get someone else to come look at it. It feels like no one knows what to do or how to do it. My AC was out for nearly two weeks. They spent the first week doing nothing but saying, "We don't have enough staff to look at it right away," yet you see maintenance everywhere when you don't need them. Overall, this was my first apartment, and the experience was very overwhelming, especially when it came to my rent on my second lease. They would add charges without notifying you or anything. For example, they added a random insurance charge to my rent without telling me. Then, when it was clearly a mistake, I had to call them to get it fixed, which took almost the whole day. So this is my honest review. Apartment complexes need to stop asking people to leave reviews the moment they get the keys. Give people time to actually live here first.
