The way they try to coerce and the snide way they speak when sending these emails is unacceptable. They tried calling over and over and sometimes from different numbers. They never responded to certified mail that requested validity of the medical debt of my deceased mother they claim that I owe. Both this company and the original creditor, Community Care and Rehabilitation are crazy. Both ignored certified mail from me within the 30 day period they had to respond but they keep sending threatening letters and emails. I keep ALL of my records in order. I had 30 days to reply and I supplied proof that I sent both parties CERTIFIED mail well within my 30 days allowed by law. The original creditor sent the mail back unopened. This company simply hasn't responded. So, as they told me in an email of threats to govern myself according, I extend that saw advice to them because again, I have ALL of my records in order. read more

We hired www.creditcounselinc.com to perform a collection service for us. Our agreement with them was that they would retain 30% of the funds that were to be collected. The communication we received from the company during the collection process was basically non existent. We were told in the beginning of the process that "someone from the I.T. department would contact us to issue a password and log-in instructions so that you may access the online webportal. There we would have access to all account information as well." This didn't occur until after the money had been collected (almost three months later). We had to email them regularly and request updates. Once the money was collected, the amount that we received had 50% deducted from the original total. When we inquired as to why, we were told the address that we had provided to them for the debtor, was not valid, and they had to do a "skip trace". And for this reason, they needed to charge an additional 20%. I performed a quick internet search and was able to locate several companies that will perform a skip trace for $45 to $250. We brought this to their attention, and received no reply. In addition to this information, we understood that all of their communications with the debtor were on the phone and email. We have also asked for proof of the "skip trace" and again have not received any response. We gave them one star, since they were able to collect the money. read more

Basically extortionists. They antagonize you until you explore showing no compassion even during a global pandemic. A medical company who took my information down incorrectly including my phone number used them to collect. When I tried to calmly explain the circumstances they refused to listen and said get off my phone. Horrible people all I can say is that karma is karma read more

Let me tell you, their "people", one employee in particular, is EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL, CALLS DEBTORS ALL SORTS OF NAMES, and mocks them before realizing the recording has started when he's leaving a voice message. If their staff had a deep relationship with their client, they would have known to stop contacting me as my account was corrected per the office manager. The individual performance of one of their employees is disgusting. He treats women like garbage, as if we're on the time of the month or something. All he wants is his 12% commission and he will not stop harassing until he gets what he wants. But I am on the collections end of this situation, so you, as a company looking for a reputable, stand-up agency to help them recoup money - RUN FAR, FAR AWAY FROM CREDIT COUNSEL INC. read more
