It includes both active and passive areas although the emphasis is on active pursuits. Four lighted regulation adult softball diamonds with spectator seating and flagpoles at the ball diamond entrance, two youth sized ball diamonds, twelve soccer fields, a soccer concession/restroom building, four tennis courts, a large community built playscape, a jogging/exercise trail, walking/biking trail through the woods at the north end of the property, approximately 80 acres of restored native prairie grass, a skate park for skateboarding and inline skating, a pond with a spray fountain and two sand volleyball courts are found on the developed part of the park. Winter recreation activity areas include an outdoor ice skating on the pond located near a sledding hill. Paved parking lots provide parking for approximately 200 vehicles. Picnic shelters with cooking grills near the playground equipment offer respite from the active areas. The ball diamonds are serviced by a two-story concession building with a food concession and restrooms on the lower level and a scorekeeping loft on the upper level. Drinking fountains are available at the picnic shelter area, and at the ball diamond concession and the soccer concession areas. The City offers community garden plots for rent where local residents may grow fresh vegetables and fruits within the undeveloped part of the site.

The grounds were lovely, and they were plenty of plant and tree specimens that one does not normally see in this part of Ohio. I liked the knobby knee cypress trees the best! The insect quotient was very low, making me wonder if they spray. It seems as though they must because of all the flowers and plants. It's an amazing setting for a concert and I wonder why they have not had a smooth jazz concert there since. I definitely would go! This seems as though it would be a great place to take photos of your family. People are very friendly here and it would be a very nice afternoon daycaytion!

The admission cost makes it possible for these gardens to exist, they are a non for profit. The gardens are unique in that they offer a great rotation collection of art from all over the world. The gardens themselves offer a unique collection and experience in that they are the areas only large scale asian gardens. They have a complete 30+ tree collection of bonsai trees. As a seasoned and well traveled garden tourist, this is one of my all time favorite gardens.

It runs 10.1 miles one way and the parking lot is a further drive if you use the trailhead on Yelp. On the other end there are restroom and a portable. Although there are many bodies of water as you ride across, there are no waterfalls as the name might suggest. Midway there is a nice cross breeze as it cuts between a lake. Today there was a horde of teenagers walking to the lake and was oblivious to anyone else around them. Hopefully, this is not a regular occurrence as it was difficult to navigate around them.

The trail is a beautifully paved 10.4 mile pathway linking the west side of the City of Jackson with the picturesque Village of Concord, Michigan with its many Victorian homes. The trail was once an old Michigan Central Railroad route and was converted to a Rails-to-Trails recreation area in 2007. The trail runs through rural countryside and beautifully shaded woodlands with only a handful of road crossings. The trail's name reflects the area's natural beauty and the region's native Potawatomi Indian tribe..."The land of Falling Waters". The Jackson trailhead at Weatherwax Drive and Park Road provides plenty of secure parking as does the trailhead ten miles to the west in Concord. Today we rode the full 21 miles out and back in beautiful Michigan summer weather before rewarding ourselves with Orange Creamsicle Milkshakes at Arby's on the way out of town....definitely a 5-star biking experience all the way.
