Very good. Old furnishings but clean. Economical with a fantastic staff who are always willing to help! This place is a hidden gem!

An incredibly different (odd?) restaurant on an incredible piece of property on White Iron Lake. The food was decent, but the place has an odd supper club, old-timey vibe that just felt kind of out of place. Of course, that's a pretty subjective view, so take it with a grain of salt. The property is beautiful though, especially the area near the lake. Place feels like it has way more potential. Visit and make up your own mind about the place. Interesting if nothing else. read more

I have been here a few times for the prime rib dinner (my favorite), and cocktails at the bar and dining room. Entertaining live accordion and button box music may accompany your meal thanks to Dr. U and friends. This place is quite unique-chalet style lodge, restaurant and bar with very nice rooms to rent. I may stay here for the winter trout opener. Located on white iron lake, not far from the city of Ely. read more

Creek Ridge Lodge is one of Ely's hidden gems! Wonderful food, beautiful & comfortable rooms. Super friendly staff. Peaceful & serene atmosphere. The perfect getaway at one of Ely's most beautiful resorts!!! read more

Specialties

We offer lodging with a full bar serving pizza, appetizers, salads and soups along with a venue for parties, weddings or meetings. On Friday nights, accordion music entertains our guests. Our hotels rooms are huge and perfectly accommodate small groups such as reunions. There are 96 acres for you to explore and we're located on White Iron Lake.

History

Established in 2009.

Creek Ridge was originally built as a retreat for a business owner to bring clients, employees and family to. I've been told that they had many parties attended by VIPs and they brought in "entertainment" from the Chicago area. I'd sure love to hear some of those stories! Construction took place in the early "70s and the décor on the main level is Austrian themed and the carvings in the woodwork were actually done by a gentleman from Austria! Our family purchased the property in 1994 and in 2009 we opened as a small hotel with a restaurant and bar.

Meet the Manager: Kathy U.

Kathy was born and raised in Ely, MN. She is married with two kids. Kathy received her Bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of MN and has been working in the family businesses ever since.
