In my many years on Yelp, I rarely leave a review, good or bad, but this is bugging me way too much. My wife and I just got the annual notice for our lease renewal at Creekbridge, and they're notifying us that our rent is going up $180 in August. We have been here for almost 11 years and in the last 4 years, our rent has gone up by almost the same amount as in the previous 7 or 8. In August we will be paying $2,430 for a 2-bedroom apartment, which is pretty ridiculous. The apartments are nice, but not worth it to be honest. Especially with all the dog shit from all the dog owners that don't pick up after their pets. It seems like the owners are more worried about investing in building new apartments, than in the ones they already have, and keeping their current residents happy. Another thing that bothers me are the light poles. There is one near the 1715 units that fell down many months ago, and they haven't replaced it. There are wires sticking out, and they just put an orange safety cone on top of them. There are other poles that are pretty rusted and provably a safety hazard for kids playing outside. We rarely ask for anything and when we get something (refrigerator, washer), it seems to be the cheapest model they can get their hands on. I could go on and on about parking, the pool, the gym, and other issues, but maybe that would be a waste of time, since management doesn't seem to care about complaints. All I know is that my wife and I are not as happy here as we once were. I feel like they are kind of pushing us out in a sense, and we will likely be out of here as soon as we have a chance. read more

if I could give 0 stars I would. I have lived at this property on and off for the last five years the management when I first moved in almost a year ago was great very helpful and then the three management that I've been through since have been atrocious. I had a lady at the office, tell me wrong information and then still charge me. She tried to evict me. They find every single reason to charge you for every single little tiny thing, the maintenance is horrible. My building is tore up with termites. And multiple other wasps and bugs that I have contacted the office about I can't take a shower without turning off my water to my toilet or else the water gets very hot and cold repeatedly. they had an inspection and tried going back in my room and closing the door. and the most recent incident someone was having a birthday party at the pool and they decided now we should have pool passes and close the pool on the weekends but still charge over 2k for an apartment. the property is not well kept up and the management could definitel use a dose of reality. one of the management ladies even told me she wouldn't get approved to live there and wouldn't even try because of how bad the property was. they painted the buildings but never took care of any of the issues. just put a bandaid over everything there's soft spots in all my flooring and half the outlets don't work. read more

This review is for the Penthouse Apartments at 1530 Constitution BLVD. They are managed by Thrust IV and Creekbridge Apartments. Cons: Especially for what it costs (in Salinas), it is ridiculously loud and unpleasant to live at the Penthouse Apartments. First of all, car alarms go off all day in the Safeway lot below. Once a week the maintenance power washes and leaf blows the bird poop off of all the cement in the property, it is loud and seems to last forever. Starting around 9-10 PM, the lot downstairs fills up with supped up cars that rev their engines, squeal their tires and do doughnuts CONSTANTLY until about 12:30 or so. People gather around for what looks like a car show or something. Typically there are over 50 people or so milling around like it's "the place to be". It happens Friday through Tuesday nights but has happened at other times too. There is supposed to be 24 hour security on site to prevent this, but we have never seen them. We have called the number to report and they either do not respond or take over an hour to do so. They say they cannot do anything when/if they do respond. I called/emailed management about it half a dozen times but they are also useless. Also tried the PD a bunch of times but they never come to respond. People also like to set off fireworks and mortars in the lot...it's just lovely here. Behind the building in our parking spaces near the garages people like to hang out and smoke pot (again no security patrol unless you specifically complain about something). Vehicles have been broken into a few times back there too. In the past some people like to have sex back by the dumpsters which have subsequently been locked with a padlock. People also tearup the grass in the green belt by driving on it and doing doughnuts. The shopping center the apartments sit on top of is loud and busy and full of people loitering around all the time. Also, Creekbridge has built two additional properties right around the shopping center so traffic in the area has gotten really bad. If you expect a "luxury experience" at the Penthouses, don't expect it. All of the amenities are actually down the street at the main Creekbridge Offices. The rent drop box is on the back side of the building and you have to park in the guest spaces (which are usually full) and walk in. The online system they use has never worked. Pros: It is conveniently located in the Safeway Shopping Center. Lots of Parking. The Apartments themselves are actually very nice. Lots of storage and closets. Granite Countertops in the bathrooms and kitchen. Wood flooring in the kitchen and foyer (laminate in the bathrooms). read more

Not too bad for being in Salinas. I happened to crash here for a few months while temporarily working in the area. The area is not very safe but the gated complex makes it feel a bit safer. It looks nicer than I expected. The parking is outdoors with overhang. I didn't have any issues, but I know in Salinas, there are a lot of gang violence so I no matter how secure I felt, I was always extra careful. read more

These apartments are very spacious and have a good community around them. Unfortunately the only thing that sucks about creekbridge apartments is the parking!!! If you are not home by latest 6pm there is no available parking spots even if you are the one living and paying for the extra parking here. The security guard is no help since he just comes in and parks in the back to do nothing. Sometimes they have the tow truck come in and tow away cars from paying renters. Will definitely be moving elsewhere. read more

Not what I expect to see every single day at apartment complex where I live.. it really looks horrible.... First time I saw, I figured they had done some cleaning and it was just put there temporarily but I guess I was wrong since it looks the same for a few months. Not to mention sometimes you can't even use the parking spot right next to it since I almost fell trying to get out of my car and tripped over some hoses that were attached to one of the washers.. disappointing, it looks like a ghetto complex... read more

Spent 1 year at this complex . So glad we left. The parking is ridiculous, you can't have visitors park inside and they have to walk far from complex for any street parking , the noise from neighbors is terrible, and the cops were in the facility at least once a week. So disappointed with this apartment complex. Its a gated apartment complex that had a broken front gate for months, so anyone could come and go as they please. Homeless people would enter facilities at nite and rummage through trash.. things were never fixed when maintenance was called.. very disappointing! Would not recommend this place. read more

It's been 2 months that my light switch has been broken in my room and the maintenance man has never came to fix it. I already put in a form that it was broken once it was broken (2 months ago) and it hasn't been replaced. Terrible maintenance man. I always see him outside around his car smoking. Beautiful apartments terrible management. I don't recommend. read more

We are finally moving out after 4 years, It has been a great stay. Even though they raised the rent, it is still a much lower monthly cost than the other nice apartments in Salinas and in the best neighborhood. read more

I lived here for nine months for work in 2013 and had no problems. There are few places to live in Salinas and this is one of them. It's a safe community, no issues with neighbors and the front office was nice. I had to break my lease early and move. The costs were steep (not unexpected), just be mindful of this when you sign the lease. Highly recommended! read more

Since they had acknowledge the parking matter the complex has been a breeze to enter. Saturday night knowing you have a parking spot is amazing or coming home late from working graveyard on a Tuesday being able to find parking is satisying! If you see a car in your assigned spot and call assistance they have them towed in a timely fashion. Keep up the good work. read more

My family and I lived in a very nice, 2 bedroom apartment at Creekbridge. Unfortunately, we did have some unpleasant experiences that I hope they will solve soon. First, I was in the pool one day with my 4 year old daughter when some teenagers came in and started smoking marijuana in the Jacuzzi. When I called the administration, they told me I had to call the cops. The next time I saw the same teenagers (who came in without key, they opened the door with their skateboards), I was with my daughter again and Lena came after I notified her. However, she barely reprimanded the teenagers and after that, I continued seeing them and got told by other 2 neighbors that they had experienced the same issue with the same teenagers in front of their kids. Second, when we moved in we told them we had 2 dogs and one of the ladies in the rental office said, "this unit will be great because it is in a corner and you can actually just let your dogs go off leash." Well, all was good until a new neighbor moved in and he started complaining and then all of a sudden we started getting notices. The neighbor was a lonely person and other neighbors around said he was weird too. He complained about everything, he did not have a life. Unfortunately the administration did not know how to weigh that out even though we paid rent a month ahead always and really kept the apartment clean and neat. Third, when the lease was due, they said they would send a letter a month before to let us know how much it would be to continue renting, and they sent a horrible and unprofessional photocopy of a letter saying that was the end of our lease and just pretty much "see you later." When we called them about this they said they thought we had told them we might move and so there you go. This was so unprofessional and it really felt like they were discriminating. I am a very well educated Hispanic and my husband is a very well educated Indian. Fourth, when it came to the cleaning deposit, they said the apartment was to be "clean," not "sparkling clean." Lena came in and walked directly to the back window, put her finger in the corner of the window and said there was a little dust in there, after I had spent hours cleaning the blinds and the windows! That was crazy, it really looked like she was trying to justify her job; maybe she is under pressure? Then she went to the restroom and I had scrubbed the tub with Ajax and she said "there is soap scum there" (have you compared the water in Salinas to the water in Lake Tahoe? Wow, how hard it is!). I just could not deal with it anymore. Then she said to not worry because they had just hired more economic people to do the cleaning so the cleaning deposit charge would be less. Yes, of course, they hire "Hispanic slaves," very common in the area (agriculture...) and so sad. The guy who works for them, Juan I think is his name, what a gentleman and hard working man. He was there that day with Lena and I could see he was SO embarrassed at how unprofessional this lady was. Well, all is left is to say some positive things too of course, I have to be sincere, that they recently painted and it looks amazing, the neighborhood felt safe, (even though somebody stole our Raleigh bike and when my husband went to the office to report it the lady said immediately, without apologizing (hint: customer service), "well, we cannot do anything about it." That corridor in the back of the apartments is all about marijuana). Oh, and watch out for that restroom in the pool area, most of the time it was so dirty I could not take our daughter to do her needs there. As for the gym, many of the machines were broken most of the time. That all for $1375 a month. read more

When I moved into my apartment, we filled up a list of many things that were damaged and needed attention or missing. NONE of them ever got addressed. I tolerated it for several years and when I called in with requests for service, they were always VERY SLOW and required several reminders that I had asked for the service. I lived in the apartments they called the PentHouse which has a locking perimeter and is in the Safeway building. There is NO SECURITY at all there. The locked gates were often propped open and homeless people parked their vehicles between the garages and slept there so going out in the early AM or arriving in the late PM meant you had to wake them up and get them to move to put your car away. On weekend nights, large numbers of people show up in the Safeway parking lot to race their cars and do "stunts" that begin about dark and don't end until after midnight. I witnessed a man and two very small children who were missed by inches by a speeding car in the parking lot. When you call the police (and I did almost every weekend), they may or may not come out. When they do, the people get out of their cars and surround the police cars making it impossible for them to do very much. It is NOT SAFE. Then they had the nerve to withold $$ from my deposit and not tell me what for other than "maintenance" which is not legal and certainly laughable given the lack of "maintenance" I received while living there. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM IN ANY WAY. Wish I could give them zero stars. read more

this apartment complex is far above the rest here in salinas ca the apt homes are cozy and roomy at the same time the maintence staff was impecable work orders are always taken care of within 24 to 48 hours of request unless they need to order parts or use an out side vendor read more
