And if someone is talking bad about you, they say " we can't do anything" at least you could tell them to shut up. Students are terrible too and don't get discipline. And if a student is standing up for there self's the give them suspension. Dress code is awful. I was wearing an off the shoulder shirt and while in the lunch line a lady came up to me and said, " pull it up. That's un ladylike" you not what's also " un ladylike" you being rude to 6th graders for something they like. But if a girl wears shorts up to there ass, they don't care. West hall, do better.

It has…read more32 open classrooms (most don't have all 4 walls and instead have rolling pods and bookshelves for dividers) for K-5th with one class for pre-K. They recently built a new playground and gym in the past ten years - when I was there we had to do chair aerobics in the cafeteria on rainy days because there was no gym. The teachers and administrators continue teaching here for years because of the great support from the parents in the area. Classrooms are never overcrowded, and I can't recall a time when they had to use trailers. It's my dear alma mater and there is nothing bad I could say about this school; most of my great childhood memories took place here - the spring festivals, field days, sock-hops, and fall carnivals.

We came across Pinecrest Academy. The minute we drove onto the campus for our tour I knew "this is it"! There was such a sense of peace within all the beauty that the campus has. We met with Mrs. Margaret Frain. She was so lovely, and you could truly feel her love for the school through her tour and presentation. Well, the rest is history. We have been here for 3 years (going on an upcoming 4) and also have our youngest starting this year. Pinecrest has been an absolute blessing. The teachers and faculty are wonderful, the staff is caring, you become a part of the Pinecrest community the minute you begin. I could not have asked for a better experience for my children and for our family. We have seen our oldest daughter flourish in academics as well as in our faith, and look forward to the same for our youngest!

The inside of the school is like a maze but it is well kept and clean. The best part is my sons teacher! Mrs Williams is truly heaven sent! One of the best teachers any of my kids have ever had. She is kind, thoughtful, and full of love for her students. Due to her my son loves going to school. I wish there more teacher like her!

Awesome school....,my child has attended from 6-to hopefully 8..my only hiccup is not the school,…read morebut the dekalb county's new attendance policy which is ...when a child is "absent, excused, with a drs' not etc.. checked out early, due to illness..etc.., checked in late etc.., they are considered - absent. your child may have dr's appt's w/ notes, checked out of 1-or more classes, for an appointment...but marked absent (mind you, they came to school and was checked out by a parent, guardian, or emergency contact). make it make sense!!! my child has never had any attendance issue, and i am offended about this. i've attended a meeting where other parents felt the same. Dekalb county...what is the problem here??? Parents are getting notifications that are appalling (to myself, husband, and scholar). Notes that are sent in are not getting to the proper channels, and I do have email receipts to justify. I am not here to bash and please, excuse the all caps, my business requires it. it never comes off..I am not yelling. However, I am so dispappointed in this years adminisration. Should this be directed to Mountain Industrial??? Please reply with where it should go. The attendance person was in the meeting but had little to add. I will gladly send an email to the proper chanels. I may not word things correctly, but I am sure you get what I am saying. When i was in attendance in one of the recent meetings, the majority had the same feelings.

The teachers and staff are exceptional, consistently going above and beyond to ensure that the children are both learning and safe. I had a fantastic experience with the school and highly recommend that new parents consider it when making their decision.
