Holy Cross Care, more like Holy Cross Hell! After having…read moreextensive foot surgery in August of 2020 I was sent to this place without asking my opinion from St. Joseph Hospital. The first thing they do is isolate you for 14 days even though you have had multiple covid tests. Then they allow you 20 minutes to meet with your wife or caregiver outside separated by a 6' long table who has not had a covid test. They get you out to the dining area for your meals & then you wait up to an hour for your food which comes from a central campus location so it's almost always cold & tasteless. Once your put back in your room the real fun begins. They have a call alert button to contact the staff who responds in 10-60 minutes & sometimes not at all. I talked to several patients & they said they had to have their beds changed multiple times a day because they couldn't keep from emptying their bladder including myself. The night crews were the worst, always watching the game show network instead of taking care of patients. I had a wound vac on my foot that was supposed to be changed every day, sometimes it didn't get changed for days! With no Doctor visiting me in my room they could do what they wanted 24/7. The final straw for me was when I came back from physical rehab one day & the AC wasn't working in my room on a HOT August day. Maintenance came & said they fixed it but all they did was get the blower to blow more hot air. I asked them to get me a fan & they said they didn't have any so I attempted to sleep that night. When I woke up I was in a complete sweat all over my body & my heart was racing. I called the night staff & nothing was happening so I started screaming for the head nurse to call an ambulance. Fortunately I got out of that place & after a hospital visit for my heart I never went back. They had 2 GREAT nurses that took good care of me when they had me as a patient, the rest of the team I would fire for the quality of care they provided or because they either didn't wear their face masks or wore them improperly down below their nose. Stay away from this place, you will be glad that you did. Don't let St. Joseph Hospital send you here no matter how nice they say it is, it's not!

I pray things are better for the patients. Three months there was the worst experience of my life. Be very careful in your choice of this place. I could have perhaps sued but didnt. Just one suggestion: please have a way of reporting abuse with someone outside the facility. In my case there was no way I could find someone to report the abuse of the Director Of Nursing, the buck stopped with her. No one knew except her and her team

My friend is there. He has had a stroke and cannot do most things himself. The staff is more…read moreinterested in getting patients to the dinning hall than answering call lights. I turned on his light for help twice and it was ignored. He was falling out of his chair . I was able to get him to the door way . I have to walk with a walker and it was not easy to get there. A person from the office came by and saw it and called for help and they came but had she hadn't come by, he wouldn't have been helped. They want him out of there before Medicares 20 days so they can charge more by private pay. I am looking for a better place and have appointments to check the places out before I move him. I wish I had checked this place and he wouldn't have gone there from the hospital. The 2 places I choose were full so this was my third choose. What a mistake.

I have a diabetic friend currently there that doesn't even have a "restricted" diet ....this is very concerning for his health needs, I questioned him about it & he led me to believe there's one Dr. who is responsible for the entire unit? Whom he has YET to meet with even after already being there for a week.... I'm concerned for his health & well being if NO ONE is monitoring his needs correctly....

He is kind, very intelligent & listens to you always. Speak to you in words you can understand. The nurses are the best. Treated me with kindness, & were very professional in their work. i have had 5 surgeries in the last 2 1/2 years. Never have I had bad experiences, felt very comfortable with all the staff. I will always go to Memorial for any kind of surgery I may need. They are the best as far as I am concerned!!!

Urgent care or ER is an absolute nightmare. It doesn't matter if there are 5 or 50 patients…read morewaiting you will wait, wait, and wait until you see a doctor. And not only are you waiting...you are waiting in a room suitable to refrigerate your groceries in the Summer. The ER staff is dressed in winter garb but if you are in comfortable Summer attire, I guarantee you'll leave there with a low grade fever or at least an infection of some type. Your best bet is to go to an Urgent Care Clinic.
