The chemical dependency course offered here at Crescent College was a complete and total Godsend for me, in my life, when I need it the most. Dr. Anthony Thomas is an extraordinarily knowledgeable, talented and gifted human being. He has been a huge part of my life today and I am indebted to him for all he has done for me. CHEMICAL DEPENDENCY COURSE Creating an environment of safety and growth. Dr. Anthony Thomas, our professor, I credit with creating an environment where the students are able to become the best versions of ourselves ... A lot of times, people (myself included) view school and think that we will be reading out of a book, we will receive a lecture, and the professor will be writing on the chalk board. Not saying this is wrong, but, this is what a lot of people correlate with education. When we are able to not only have conversations,, we are able to share our experiences in life ... with our experiences, we are able to let go of what was holding us back in the same place for so long, in order for us to help others ... I came to this school thinking I was studying to help someone else, little did I know, I was the one that was going to be helped tremendously. Sergio was incredibly knowledgeable on BLS and is very accommodating to other students. It is very helpful for others to know he taught the CPR/BLS course in both English and Spanish at the same time and ensured everyone was on the same track. He allowed plenty of time for questions if anyone was confused or lost on a topic. What an amazing school to start your career the teachers here are really amazing. Mrs Padilla really guided me and my classmates on what to expect when entering the medical field and helped us with reviewing when we were stuck on something we couldn't understand. I took the phlebotomy course as well and it was very excellent Mr Zelaya is a great person and teacher always helped many of my fellow classmates. I am grateful that I accomplished what I wanted. before I was introduced to crescent college, I went to another school named: CTI I truly don't recommend. therefore crescent college has the best staff they treat you not like a newbie, they make you feel that you know what you're doing. in the lab, they all work as a team. First and foremost. The only good thing about this school is that it is cheaper than any other schools that offer the phlebotomy program. I've went to this school a year ago. I still don't have my state license. Here are a couple of reasons why. The administration sucks. Except for randy. I can't really say much because I hardly seen him there when I was in need of something. Angel is a total liar!!! He is always trying to cover Carlos behind. It took them eight months to send me to do my externship. I always called wondering when i was going to do it. Carlos had always come up with some excuse. and when he couldnt handle my phone calls he simply put Angel on the phone to blow smoke up my you know what. You know its funny how they teach customer care here, yet im not satisfied with the service the school's admin had to offer. Us students pay to keep the lights on in this place, and especially we pay for those no good irresponsible admin workers salary (angel & carlos). Such lazy guys slumming around for a paycheck. Whoever owns this institution, my best advice for you is to fire them. Seriously. The website of the cresent college clearly states that you have all these connections with kaiser permanente, health care partners, children hospital of Los Angeles to name a few!!! But they have absolutely nothing to do with cresent college externship for students what so ever. Instead you are sent to some crappy clinic called, San Miguel clinica. Some little hole in the wall clinic. In fact to confirm their only connection to send students to do their externship, Carlos said its only San Miguel clinica that cresent college is affiliated with. Enough with the false advertisement!!!! We may be the students to this school, but we are also customers that demand the truth of this school. Ok so they send me to do my externship back in June. Finished it. Went back to school to give them the papers so that they can mail it to Labortory Field Services which is the California gov. of licensing for phlebotomist, ect. June 8 was the day I was there. It was a Saturday. I wrote a check for one hundred dollars because that was the fee for the application to lab field services. Carlos was handling everything for me. He was suppose to send it. But only at the beginning of this month, August, I found out from lab fields services that Carlos only sent my online application on July 6 at 9:16am, a minute after I called to bitch about why my online application wasn't there!!!! And angel had the nerve to tell me to relax it was sent in June, and that lab field services sent them a notification saying they got my application. Which is also a big lie!! My guess is that Carlos once again forgot!!!! Stupid!! You need to pull your head out of your ass. Both of you. My advise to future students go to a different school. This is not a place for service. It shouldn't be a hassle to constantly bug about when you're going to do an externship. This experience has not only been a set back for me but also other students. I could have been working as a phlebotomist months ago if I didn't attend cresent college. Choose wisely. read more

I attended the Medical Assistant program at Crescent College and I achieved what I set out to do -- Learn to be a prfessional medical assistant. I had no experience when I entered the school. We only had one lady take a break because she was pregnant but she went back. Mostly everyone I know who actually attends or atended Crescent College finds their experience to be invaluable. This is the BEST school for someone to learn from the ground up. Other schools might require experience, when after all, we are coming to these colleges to learn. Also, there were students who transferred from other schools and told me they didnt learn much and were there longer. Anyway, my main purpose for writing this is because I felt eveything about the program was exactly what I needed, but the review left me hesitant. People can really make a damage by saying false comments about the school. The school is all about learning by doing, it's the most realistic way to learn. read more

I want to thank Crescent College for helping me get my CPT1 License, I was a little nervous at first since I do not have a medical background but Ms Diaz the Phlebotomy Instructor was very patient and taught the course extremely well I recommend this program for those of you who do not have a medical background but you have to know that it takes a lot of studying and hard work it is not that easy, I am excited to start my new career, I also want to thank Jorge the Career Services person who helped me with my resume and prepared me for my interviews I encourage everyone to try them out Good Luck out there!!! read more
