I sent them our budget and a list of the things on their website that sounded good, and they sent me a custom menu that worked perfectly for the number of people we had. The service was good and personable but the actual food left a lot to be desired. Our wedding was 2 days after Thanksgiving so we went with the breakfast as a change. The churro french toast was hard as a rock on top, the bottom was rubbery and you couldn't even cut through it and there was a weird unflavored egg stuff between the entire thing had no flavor and was rubbery, in fact every dish had no flavor. One of my guests went and bought hot sauce just so it was eatable at all. The pineapple and melon worry tahini was just that, slices of pineapple and sliced up cantaloupe with a little bowl of tahini on the side. The coffee was good. read more

Their variety of menu items made my mouth water, but it was there above and beyond service from initial contact to day of event that wowed me. Look no further for your next event. I loved the ease of communication and flexibility in mix and matching menus to our tastes. My Mom loves broccoli -who doesn't? And they made sure we had a hot dish to fill that need. Communication was thorough, and clear. We had a baked potato bar, and a lavish amount of food which was delicious! And...the clam chowder is SOOO GOOD!! When we were planning our wedding we knew we didn't want the traditional menu, but were not sure exactly what we wanted. Then we found the best catering company EVER. Crescent Moon helped us pick out a Cajun menu that excited us & tailored it to our needs - we added specific drinks, macaroni, kids menu, etc. This team was an absolute DELIGHT to work with from beginning to end. Their communication skills are beyond exceptional and response time is crazy fast! Not one time did they tell me "no" and they offered so much expertise and advice. Aside from their amazing customer service - THE FOOD IS WILL GO BEYOND YOUR EXPECTATION. IT IS THAT GOOD!!!!!!! All of our guests made comments toward the food and how great it was. We ordered the Christmas Eve meal from Crescent Moon this year, and it may have to become a new tradition! The food was UNBELIEVABLE!! Crescent Moon was incredible! I am very glad I chose Anna & friends to cater our "south of the border taco bar" at our wedding in June! They provided delicious, presentable food at a good price. They were flexibley as I was able to edit the menu to our tastes and get the price down to a range I was happy with. Responsiveness was great too, our emails back and forth were very timely. They definitely understand that brides-to-be need quick answers! ;) The price of our entire package was a little spendy..The cost per kid was more than I would have liked, considering many of the kids in attendance were 5 or younger. That aside, I doubt I would have gotten the same level of service or had such an experienced team if I had chosen another business that cost less. Compared to the prices of Seattle and the east side, CMC is a great value. Compared to other caterers in the Kitsap County area, CMC is in the higher price range. Looking back, however, totally worth every penny if you want a seamless, stress-free, everything's-taken-care-of event. They really took care of it all... Perks: Anna and her team offer tasting consultations, for a fee which can be applied to your total payment if you choose to use them. She also offers discounts for return customers! Anna and her fantastic team created (and served) a succulent and amazing dinner for our daughter's wedding last weekend in Indianola! From the minute we met with Anna and Danielle to discuss our thoughts and desires for the big day.. we were excited! With the hundreds of details to plan, particularly for a beach wedding and reception in a community clubhouse, I never doubted for one second Anna would deliver. Of course the food is superb, the presentation flawless, but just as important to me, was her personable attitude, work ethic, confidence and ease in which she and her crew work their magic! Love this lady and her wonderful staff! Highly recommend the spicy crab cakes with avocado dipping sauce, hot artichoke dip, marinated flank steak, salmon with blackberry wall walla onion compote - yum!! Chef Anna and her team are incredible! My maid of honor and I still talk about our tasting with Crescent Moon as one of our favorite days in the planning process--and they did my rehearsal dinner! We wanted a fully vegan menu, along with some allergy restrictions, and they completely accommodated every request we had. The food was absolutely delicious, and was gorgeously displayed. Crescent Moon came recommended by our venue, which was great because apparently it is not an easy venue for caterers to work with! The service was excellent and even over the weekend right before our (Monday) wedding they were very responsive. They were also surprisingly flexible with the food costs and adjusted them as much as they could as we had a lot of guests who had RSVP'd yes have to turn around and say no last minute due to illness. There was definitely some confusion day-of about the final payment amount, partially due to addition of champagne flutes and partially due to one of our menu items not making it to the final table. Unfortunately, we had initially ordered vegan pasta and a chicken option for non-vegan guests, but the chicken somehow got missed between the many revisions. However, the vegan/allergy sensitive pasta was the most important for our family so everything worked out and was very delicious even to those without dietary restrictions. Their presentation was also great, I was very impressed with the attention to detail with the food. The chicken mix up was also easily resolved and they were able to adjust the final cost to exclude the chicken and gave us a $100 credit on top of this to make up for any confusion.
