Fantastic catering company! Needed a lunch for a small gathering of work colleagues and emailed around for quotes. Todd, the general manager, contacted me right away with a reasonable quote for our event and was willing to come out to a rural residence. We requested a drop off party so they provided all the disposable chafing dishes, silverware, plates, drinks, etc. They were easy to work with to make the arrangements. Oh my goodness... the food was fantastic! It arrived piping hot and the BBQ spread was amazing! Everyone kept saying how much they loved the BBQ chicken and the sweet ribs! The potato salad and coleslaw were amazing, too. Pound cake, whipped cream and fresh strawberries rounded out the meal. Five stars for the excellent service and fantastic meal! LeGarmache Catering will bend over backwards for you. I contacted Todd to request a short notice, drop off for a rural, backyard wedding. We were looking for some vegan finger foods and charcuterie boards type nibbles for an evening affair. He was super responsive and accommodating, always a can- do attitude. The food delivered in a very professional presentation, easy to set up and exactly what the bride wanted! Everyone was so impressed. And of course, the food was delicious with asparagus wrapped phyllo spears, vegan charcuterie boards, roasted vegetables, sweet potato topped with goat cheese and honey drizzle. Perfection! I've been to a lot of catered Weddings and I've never tasted food this bad. under seasoned meat, raw potatoes, limp tasteless asparagus and burned focaccia bread. The Caesar salad had huge chunks of the romaine bottoms- you know that white hard part that attaches to the root that's supposed to be thrown away. The dressing was bland and the lettuce leaves limp. The late night snack was supposed to be toasted cheese sandwiches and instead it was stale baguette with some cold cheese on it. the dessert buffet was a joke- low quality store bought cookies and some other 'out of the box' brownie bites. Worst experience EVER...AVOID...AVOID...AVOID. Contracted with them for our wedding reception and they did not show up. Another vendor had to call them and find out why they were not on site for setup. Finally, an hour and a half after they were supposed to be on site, one staff member showed up without plates, napkins, cups, or silver wear. Our families and wedding party had to leave the reception to purchase these items, and also had to help unload the van and setup. By the time everything was setup the reception was over. When contacted afterward, they were very rude and did not apologize for their mistake. They put the blame back on us and said we should have reviewed our contract closer (during the contract process, no response regarding changes, errors in charges and updates were never made). read more

Le Garmache catered my wedding August 2014. What can I say? TOP NOTCH! The food was amazing! The Salmon was perfect! The set up for the buffet made for a perfect 'flow' for all my guest's to get their food in a quick and timely manner. The staff was very professional as well as very helpful.. For example, (I cannot believe I did this, but...) I totally forgot to bring our cake cutter and slice server! So, when it was time to cut the cake, one of the server's saved the day (within about 20 second's) a knife appeared out of nowhere and all was fine! None of my guest's were even the wiser that there was an 'issue' at all. We will use Le Garmache in the future when my Husband has his retirement ceremony from the United States Coast Guard. A wedding is a day that every woman dreams of from the time they are a little girl, until the day their fairytale comes true. Unfortunately for us, our wedding that occurred on July 24, 2014 was far from what I had dreamed of and that was because of Le Garmache Catering who could not even provide enough food to supply our guests with a first helping. I am writing this review to express how unbelievably disappointed we are in the way that the most important day of our lives turned out at the Cedar Springs venue in hopes that others will not have to experience the nightmare that we went through. First of all, we arrived at 11am to only have seating for 80 people when our discussions had stated that we wanted to be prepared for 110. There wasn't anyone there to help with this situation and help did not actually arrive until after 2pm when our contract stated that they would arrive at 12pm. When the staff finally arrived, they did not help whatsoever with anything other than folding napkins. The napkins were to have been there by 10am because we had plans to spruce them up to match our theme, which is also stated in an email and this did not occur. It was pouring down rain so we ended up having to move the ceremony under the tent and our guests were the ones that had to get soaking wet to move the tables and chairs rather than the staff that we paid for. Guests had to serve themselves dinner when we were told the servers would be serving them. We had to ask a staff member to cut our cake and he got frosting all over our unity sand keepsake that is irreplaceable. Lastly, the food situation was absolutely unacceptable. We only ended up only having 74 people attend and 5 people were not able to have any food at all while the others served themselves very small portions because they saw the small amount that was provided. We ended up having to order ten pizzas in order to make up for the lack of food. It was beyond embarrassing to have to face our guests and tell them that the food was completely gone and that it would be 50 minutes until the pizza arrived. When we contacted the company, they were extremely rude and were not willing to provide any sort of refund for the lack of food or even for the guests that did not attend. Dallas, the newest addition to the company, stated that a refund was not necessary because it would not change our opinions on the company. When I asked about integrity and doing what she knew would be the right thing to do, she hung up on me. I was very polite through out the conversation and to be hung up on displays this companies complete lack of care & respect for their clientele. I actually tried to share my experience on the Facebook pages created for these two businesses and the owners deleted my review and blocked me as well as the guests that commented on my review who had experienced first hand the disaster that occurred. I cannot even put into words how unsatisfied we were with this company. We have been lied to several times about prices and what would be included in our package, we went through having to change coordinators three times since we booked this venue, and then were shorted in every aspect. Although the Cedar Springs venue is absolutely gorgeous, the experience on our wedding day was horrendous. read more

Le Garmache no longer has a cafe but they do continue to cater. Though I have not enjoyed their catering menu, I did frequent the cafe and between the food and the staff, it was always enjoyable. If that is any indication of their catering (and I'm sure it is), I'd highly recommend them. read more

We hired Le Garmache for our wedding and it was one of the best planning decisions we made. Like another reviewer, I did find them a bit slow to respond and disorganized in the contracting process. But I had no problem taking time to read each contract and initiate the changes when necessary. I probably emailed them several dozen times and they were extremely flexible and patient with my many many many changes. I don't think they ever refused any of my contract edits - which I made sure to point out to them explicitly - so I got exactly what I wanted. And I had a bridesmaid call every single vendor (caterer, photographer, florist, baker, etc.) a couple days before the wedding and make sure they knew what day and time to show up, so we made sure everyone was on the same page. Le Garmache's food is delicious, plentiful, and beautifully displayed. Betsy is a conscientious chef and business woman, and she absolutely takes care of her customers. We got so many compliments on the food, and best of all we stayed within our budget. Betsy actually threw in several items for free, which is a word most wedding caterers don't even have in their vocabulary. I would recommend Le Garmache to anyone. read more

Le Garmache catered our wedding and all I have to say is WOW!!! The food was amazing, everyone went for seconds and they were all raving about it the next day. Their Swedish meatballs and mashed potatoes were the big hits and worked perfectly for our chilly day. The staff was professional, clean and were always doing something to keep our venue tidy. We loved working with Le Garmache! Naomi was such a helpful person from the start! She was a huge reason we decided to go with them! They were very helpful when it came to communicating and provided a lot of help for other things such as linens, glasses, etc. The only reason I wouldn't give a 5 star review was the way the caterers organized the buffet line was confusing and didn't flow and I believe interfered with a timely buffet line. I recently had my wedding here at Cedar Spring which is owned by Le Garmache, and paid over $3000 for my catering bill. Caesar salad, bread sticks, noodles, marinara sauce with italian sausage, and alfredo sauce with pieces of chicken. Yes the food was pretty good, but when I paid the bill it was suppose to feed at the bare minimum 88 people even though we were expecting about 100. We had 74 people attend our wedding and there were some people that had to wait to eat until the 10 pizzas we ordered showed up. My own brother did not get to eat any of the food at my wedding. The part that really got under my skin was, they said everyone got to eat so there was nothing they were going to do about it, but that was not the case. Noodles are very cheap, which is why i do not understand how we ran out so fast. After the wedding my wife contacted Le Garmache and told them what had happened and they said they would refund us the $100 it cost for the pizzas, well it was more than $100. We paid per plate for 88 people to show since that was the exact number of rsvp's, like i stated above we only had 74 guests including the DJ and photographer. We did not get refunded for the plates not used and on top of that the shortage of food that could not feed my wedding guests. After a few emails my wife called them on the phone and they were extremely rude and proceeded to yell at her on the phone saying they would not refund us any money and then hung up. It can be quite embarrassing when numerous people tell you as they are leaving the reception, or when you see them next, how nice the wedding was and how beautiful it was but then follow it up with the question what happened with the food? I am very disappointed in how the Le Garmache catering company performed and then also how they have no courtesy or professionalism. read more

We had them cater 2 events. One for 30 people and one for 18. They were great both times. Excellent food and very nice to work with.

We just used them for our 50th wedding anniversary party in our home. They were outstanding from the planning through the setup and the meal. We have never used a caterer before so it was pleasant to work with professionals. The food was delicious from the Caesar salad through the halibut stuffed with Dungeness crab and Oregon bay shrimp; as well as the garlic mashed potatoes and fresh green beans. She was wonderful and helped us come up with a plan that fit our budget. Several times before the wedding I called and emailed with questions and changes. They never made me feel like I was asking too many question. Day of wedding they showed up as expected and were fabulous. I could not have asked for better food or service. They were polite and friendly. People are still talking about the yummy food. We did the pasta buffet. I stressed before about having enough food and they did fantastic. Booked ball room at the COmfort Inn on Kitsap way and they make you use Le Garmache catering. The price you see online isn't the price you will be charged if you deal with the Comfort Inn, as they make the caterer tack on an additional 15% to the bill which then goes directly to the Comfort Inn. The caterer tells you all sorts of things to get your business, "we'll set up the tables for the reception." No they did not. They were not at the Comfort Inn when they said, and the lady who made and delivered the cake waited for a table for over 45 minutes, then decorated the tables herself. It wasn't her job!!! Th caterer was supposed to meet me at the Inn and I was to show them the table decoration, but they weren't very prompt on arriving. When I called from the church to ask about the tables, I was rudely told that the contract was from 2:30 and they WOULD be there at that time. NO HEY WERE NOT. They didn't show up till after 3. Then the young workers couldn't answer my questions about where my stuff was. There weren't enough tables, they threw away my daughters custom made bottles of champagne which were wedding gifts. When I called all Laura could say was "well, your daughter was a lovely bride, right?" and the guests enjoyed the food?" She must have said this to me at least 5 times!!! AND??? She finally offerd to replace 5 of the 6 bottles that were tossed, when I got the call from the bottle maker she informed me that Le Garmache Caterer only paid for 3 bottles. Don't deal with these people. They make appointments they fail to show up for, they make promises they don't keep, and they are rude. read more
